This reminded me of a DJ in the UK called Chris Evans that bought a radio station off Richard Branson (Virgin) where he was the current breakfast show host... He would then come in and look at the fax paper and think stuff like, are we spending too much on paper? He had never cared about this before as it wasn't his job. He eventually sold the radio station (for a large profit) and went back to doing what he did best. Tony made some excellent points here. Wealth is great but being able to do what you love till you leave this planet is priceless. A lot of people spend their lives trying to figure just that one thing out. When you have a passion and a talent for that passion like you do, that's def where you should focus ALL your energy Russell. This is also making me think on a few things in my biz so thanks for sharing.
This is one of the best behind the scenes videos anyone has ever published and the question as well as the response both provided very meaningful takeaways! I love Russell’s idea of creating a list of what things do you love to do most so you can craft the perfect job description for yourself then have someone else on your team do the tasks that you don’t love to do.

The absolute best 16 minutes of my life. Real answers for real issues. I LOVED the concept of putting the right people in the right seat on the bus and yet still maintaining the wheel. I'm continuing to work on forming a clear picture and not sending out mixed intentions so I can do the work I am intended to do.

This AMAZING value bomb dropped on my 40th Birthday! (Yesterday) And I'm so grateful for the perspective that Tony gave to Russell being just a year younger than me. As I've been approaching this BIG day, I've started to have thoughts of "Why can't I have my BIG moment?", "Why is it taking me so long to figure out my THING" or "My life is passing by so quickly"... Russel, I came and found your channel after reading both traffic secrets and expert secrets. Bro! I can't tell you how much value I've been getting from just those books. I've had so many marketing guys charge me hundreds-thousands of dollars/month just for a fraction of the information you provided. I can see why he's a world class coach.

Probably the most valuable advice ever for someone at your level Russell. It’s also good to know for someone like me of what problem will happen down the road. Being the chairman and getting a CEO who is as passionate and competent as you are in your genius is a fantastic idea and I’m sure you’ll find that person now that you’re clear on it. All the best and thank you for sharing that clip from this private event. I can feel that Dean and Tony really care about your success and wellbeing. What Tony's message to Russell reminds me of today... I was pulling up to my home with my mom and we saw a dog owner, walking their German Shepard. 🐕 She commented, "oh that dog must be trained because notice how the dog doesn't walk in front of his owner and lead him. " I noticed how the owner lead his dog & just took in a moment to analyze that. I jump on this video series, & see how it's the same concept with business. 🤯💥🔑 Thank you for that insight 💯

Great advice and thoughts by Tony.... I was given the same advice about one of my businesses - to keep and have someone else run it - though I still sold it. A couple years later there was a part of me that kind of wished I had kept it. And... One door closes and another one opens. Whatever you are led to do on this incredible journey of life - everything is always just perfect. Regardless what you do Russell, you have made a huge mark in the world and helped countless people, families and communities be better people and better places. Thank you....

wow! i totally relate to your story Russell! i achieved what i needed at 21 i sold my company, had a pocket full of money, enjoyed life for about 3 months then i was completely lost for 2 years! i became the couch potato (gun:) then eventually i got back to doing what i love and created a business that was more of a lifestyle then a curse and im only half as successful in monetary terms but its not everything right? you got a family, your health and a mate like tony to lean on! well done! im a new fan!

Russell, you’re awesome! You will get back what you love the most. For instance, it kind of like Dontella Versace just want to focus more in creative director role instead of doing both CEO and Creative Director. I think it carry that burden by doing too much and you start to lose the things you love? Whatever you decide Russell, you’ll be just fine.
Loved that video!! The transition is hard to go from the creative passionate, the reason why you are where you are, to the Firefighter (ceo/owner/operator) that is basically putting out fires all day. Fantastic insights here
