Always wonderful to see and hear about Nordic stitching and a new designer to me. Will be looking out more for her patterns. Loved her accent. Spent a lot of time in England until the pandemic. Thanks for the introduction. BTW that blue line was a beast. I think I overcounted it at least six times! I didn't let it get to me! Still loving the process and looking forward to tomorrow!
Thank you! I lived in Yorkshire for 15 years and it's one of my favourite accents - it even rubbed off on how I speak! :P. Glad you didn't let yesterday's stitching get you down! :D
That was wonderful to meet Ruth. I have done The Holly Bears the Crown and it is one of my all time favorites! I just bought one of her news one's today and have done another one of hers. It is very fun and interesting to listen to her. I am enjoying your music and your podcasts Jacob and am working on one of your charts too. I agree with you that it would be fun once in awhile to see a You Tube video from Ruth.
That's fantastic Lisa! Yea it's a great way to support the museum and also to give the signal to museums that we are interested in their collections for sure! :)
Thank you Jacob and Ruth. This was really nice. I have seen a lot of Crow's Feet Stitching charts on Mama Love you GB and I was even lucky enough to win The Summertime Cushion.
This was a wonderful visit! Thank you both so very much! As a 2nd generation 3/4ths Norwegian American. (I also have a German immigrant.) My heritage is very dear to me! I hungrily devour history. ❤
Lovely to watch your video with Ruthie. I hope she does chart and publish a Norfolk Sampler in 2025, I shall be looking out for it for sure! Merry Christmas! 🤶
Thank you so very much for this video. Loved hearing and seeing Swedish history and stitching stories. Both my maternal grandparents came to the USA and it felt to comforting to watch the video. Merry Christmas to you both.
Hi Jacob - big, big fan of your work - am sadly (have enjoyed it so much!) putting my final stitches into your Agnus Dei chart, after completing your Ave Maria piece and Love Gains. Will be stitching along on the MFE 2025 SAL as well. Any chance you may someday build on your catalog of religious charts? Would think the inspiration would be nearly endless in your part of the world. I love stitching on devotional themes, and find your aesthetic spiritually nourishing. Did I hear you and Ruth correctly that European stitchers tend to be rather private about their work? Just curious about cultural differences in the global handwork scene. Thanks for all the work you put into this series - it’s a must-watch every day! Sending a big hug, brother …
A pleasure ❤Thank you both 😊 Happy Stitching 🌻❤🌻❤!!!
Thank you!
Thank you both so much for a wonderful flosstube.
Thank you Karen! :)
