the levels, tones, interplay between guitars is unbelievable, as is the rhythm section, this is lean and mean right here. These guys are on top of their game here, the lead section is unconsciously tight...damn
Just saw The Real Kids perform in Portland ME for their new record release w/the Nervous Eaters. Both bands killed and man I must say, Billy Cole has aged well! Hope I'm like you when I grow up. Keep it going another 30+ years, you guys are inspirations, true rock n' rollers.
This never gets old. I keep coming back to listen to this all the time. Outstanding tune and performance. I'd love to have all the lyrics though but can't find it anywhere. :/ Anyone knows it?
Remembering Bobby Morin & Alpo as the New Year approaches, and the Real Kids are still Rockin and Rolling! Love my Kids, Love and MISS YOU ALPO & BOBBY!
Have been watching this video for last three days, just magic! Only now noticed that rhythm guitar has the lefty neck, wondering if he had strings in upside-down order as well like Dick Dale? Could be fun playing rhythm on such guitar
I think that the string position is normal , some guitars have the headstock " upside down" maybe because some players when is time to change the strings they feel more comfortable... i'm just guessing .....best regards to you , Patrick from Italy
....MY GAWD!!!! ...my FAVORITE SONG EVER...my fucking THEME song!!! ...too great for mere werdz...i'm WRECKED over this...This OVER wrecked, I'M... duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Too bad this didn't translate well over the TV sound . Channel five must have had real crap equipment back then. Under the noise I think was a great sounding band.
I watch this video about once a week just to feel their groove. 😮😊

Marty Sandman It’s amazing how good they sound. This is peak RK’s and this is ‘82 when they are FUCKED.
R.I.P. Alpo One of the best Boston bands. Their debut on Red Star is brilliant. I have their first 45 as well.
I Saw These Guys at The Rat back in the the Late 70's early 80's
My band opened for them some time in 76-77 at The Rat, they blew us away.
My favorite band!

KILLER guitar tone!!!!
I prefer the Real Kids with the Rickenbacker
Right! John's Tele sound is dirty and sweet...
This is great, the real deal. They rock so hard, wish they could've been preserved just like this.
The truly best bands never ‘made it’. Gotta dig for the good stuff.
Damn perfect.
These were my R&R hero’s growing up in Allston/Brighton, Brookline as a kid learning how to play guitar. Walkers Western Wear!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, these guys were the Real Deal.
You haven't heard the last of John Felice and company!
Perfect.
Yay, Real Kids! More real Kids! And has anyone seen Little Man around anywhere, lately...?
Wooo! Alpo got footwork!
Remembering Bobby Morin & Alpo as the New Year approaches, and the Real Kids are still Rockin and Rolling! Love my Kids, Love and MISS YOU ALPO & BOBBY!
Fantastic post!! Wow!! It's treasures like this that make the time I spend goofing off on You Tube worthwhile. Thanks so much for sharing this :)
I wish I had that Tele bass
My beloved sister, and Billy Cole will get married in november.
We did two 🎵 🎶 songs on that show but I've never seen the second song ever??why?
Hey Billy, what was the other song? Great to hear from you.
@Spectrescup To tell you the truth I don't remember either, I'll have to ask John!
the remind me so much of that australian garage punk rock sound like god and lime spiders
R.I.P. Bobby and Alpo
They could never kick this much ass again. This rules. Great band.
Wow. Great.
Primo stuff! Thanks so much for sharing!
None Tighter!! Just Amazing...makes me wish I'd been there! (Felice was/is a master.) I actually miss the guy sometimes!
I'd recognize that booze-soaked husky voice anywhere. Great find.

Important band!
I think that's "hippie Johnny".
