Sophie that was so irresponsible and dangerous what you did, people and horses get hurt or worse by doing what you did, lucky all was ok. Please do not do that again for the safety of all. It is riders etiquette that all should be informed when you are going to rush off like that.
A bit overdramatic. Penny obviously needs to have more exercise and a good canter to really stretch her legs. You can always circle her to keep her mind on her job.
It was really good to see you on Penny riding again this girl really needs this more often.
I don’t know if you guys own the part where Sophie was running. But that wasn’t grass, that looks like freshly planted crops. So I recommend you don’t run on it anymore. Either don’t go on it at all or walk on the side. Don’t ruin the crops.

@@sandyc6569 I didn’t say trespass. They can get permission to ride on other peoples property’s, and even if it is theirs it’s still not good to run on the crops.
@@sandyc6569I don't think it is. That is a farmer's field with crops growing. They don't have a machine and don't do field that big.

Age really has nothing to do with it 18 isn't old, our 29 year old TWH (30 in May) gets ridden or driven at least twice a week, he rarely gets winded even after a 3 hour trail ride but he is in good condition. Keeping horses in a good body condition is very important, and all your horses are overweight and out of condition. The pony/minis are FAT this can quickly lead to laminitis!
I’m glad you took penny out and she’s not tired from her age she’s tired because she’s out of shape and needs to be ridden more
True but she was ridden hard in her past and takes medication for arthritis. I want to always be considerate about her age and general health when making choices for her.
Maybe some ground work with Penny first before riding.😊
Is that your hay field you are riding on? Can you use a GoPro on your helmet to capture your trail rides?
You should never go off with out telling the other it is dangerous and inconsiderate! And lady needs clipping her coat is thick and long and if Sophie continues to ride her hard she will loose weight
