@@morgonaut Second good surprise for me, thanks for the answer. I'm a musician here in Brazil, I have a progressive rock band and I made an R&B album. I'll follow all your news. Health and much peace to you.
Some of the best tone improvements I've made on my guitars are bridges and tailpieces, materials just as important if not more than design. I get away from zinc and go for steel, brass and aluminum when possible. BTW Callaham and Faber have adaptors to put ABR bridges on Nashville equipped guitars, no drilling or dowelling. Great channel!
@deanallen927 - I agree, I prefer brass, so when I saw the ABM I had to have it :) Previously I tested also TonePros but that's another story for another day. Not as good as the ABM by MHO
Hi , sorry for confusing you with Steve Vai at the beginning ( my sight is not good at 62 y. O. ) Nice content , cheers, first time seeing your channel , it’s very good . 👍
Amazing playing, Morgonaut! And yes, ABM has a long tradition and are known for the quality of their products! The company will be delighted with your video!
@RebelliusMusic - thank you for kind words. But I don't think ABM will ever notice I produce praising video about their products which I bought for my own money 😇
I don’t like any tuneomatic bridge that uses C-rings to hold the saddle screws in place like the Gotoh tuneomatic. Those little C-rings can come loose and start to buzz and rattle. It will drive you nuts trying to figure out where the noise is coming from. There are six of those little C-rings on there, six potential problems. Every time a bought a guitar that came with one of those on it, they always started rattling. So, I use either the plain old wire retained saddle screws, or a Wilkinson tuneomatic bridge. That one’s my favorite because it uses springs to hold everything in place. Those are the best in my opinion. 👍✌️

Hi Teresa, very interessting. I made the Sam experience with my LP and my 335. At least I installed a Webster-Saddle, made from Brass, also. This was at least the best experience. Not only, that it Sounds fantastic, no matter If Clean or with Lots of gain. And finally you can adjust every single String perfectly
Wow, you had me at first lick! Great tone on that SG, looks like it's been modified for the better. I have a 2018 SG HPII, with an adjustable titanium nut, push/pull volume pots, and a 5-dip switch circuit board (still haven't messed with that), wondering if it would be worth an upgrade. First thing I did when I got was to get rid of the robotic tuner and put Gibson Deluxe tuners on it, much better!
@gdavew63 - thank you. I don't like the PCB electronics on Gibson. All my guitars I have hardwired with quality components/ It also gives me freedom to experiment with pot and caps values and wiring overall
I guess Gotoh is not going to be knocking at your door anytime soon 🙂Did the upgrade change the action much? Also, what P90 pickups did you have for the other guitar? I am looking to upgrade. Thanks for the info!!!. Do you think it was more the bridge than the tailpiece that improved the sustain? Killer playing!!! I would love to know your amp/recording setup.
@breezlee59 - I have nothing against Gotoh, I use their gear on some other guitars. But fact is, in this SG the ABM is like night and day compared to the Gotoh one. I'm always honest and share facts based on my personal testing. So maybe in future when some Gotoh stuff will be better than something else, I will for sure mention it. No, action is by my feeling the same. In my Gibson SG Special Ebony I have the stock Gibson P90s, but I plan a video replacing it for something very unusual :) You'll be surprised what I chose. My chain - amp - pedals I listed in detail in video description
.....mal was anderes jedes Stop Tail ist eingehängt... doch allein dadurch hast du einen Verlust an Sustain deshalb hab ich sie einfach fest auf den Korpus geschraubt ... probiert das mal und ihr werdet staunen
@Jamman610 - there was always on these models so thin layer of nitro it's wearing out easily. The "coloring" is just a stain. I had walnut tribute but sold it. After few years the color became not so pleasant as it was new. But on this Worn brown it ages nicely to even better shades. Share a picture of yours...
