I agree! I think I do something similar where I periodically print out an active list (with thumbnail photo) sorted by inventory location (I use the SKU field). I have about 650 items in one store. I search each location to confirm my active listings are in the correct locations and that all the items are actually listed and active. I usually find a few that have dropped off the active list. One source of this is when I have a cancelled purchase and the item doesn't actually get relisted even though I checked that box.

@@marksweeney7051 I do it about once a quarter. I have about 600-700 items listed so maybe more or less frequently depending on the amount of listings. Because I use the SKU field sometimes I'll even change the bin ID for the items in one bin and that always seems to increase sales.

    This happened yesterday.
    End/sell similar.
Total listings must be the same number before and after.
I did 40 but only 39 got relisted. Finding the missing one was the problem.
The app was my best choice. The first listings were the 39 that that actually listed.
I checked each one against the unsolds on the desktop. Found it and listed it.
Always verify the count before deleting the unsolds.

We do the paper and pen, old fashioned way too. It is still the best in my opinion. Yes, I have had this happen many times. As your searching through your items you invariably find a few that are not truly listed.

That Kenmore filter might've been pulled down due to a rights issue. I don't list filters on ebay anymore because I've gotten complaints from rights holders before on an LG and a Kenmore one. Be careful before relisting that one.

Pen and paper are good. I use virtual assistant for inventory items which is a pain in the butt to set up but really hands-free. You just talk to your phone. You find your items it gives you your excuses where it’s at you can even do that if you find an item and you wanna see if it’s still listed nothing wrong with pending paper, it is old-fashioned. AI has changed the game and as soon as they give you the ability to access your apps, it’s game over. All you would have to do is tell it what to do no more typing entering photos it will do it all. It’s probably a say a year down the roadI use GPT code to help me code what I needed for the assistant.

I always wondered why some of my listings seem to disappear. When I the other day did a store check for the first time ever, I found that 38 items weren't listed, for some reason. And this is a shop with with 450 items. Some of them were really expensive stuff as well, that were un-listed, just sitting in my shelf... I don't get it but guess I should do a check every three months from now to make sure its all up. Just thinking about you guys with maybe thousands of items... gives me anxiety! A pain in the ass for sure but you should really check that everything that's supposed to be listed, is listed. You with thousands of items, do it once a year!

Few weeks ago I had 200 missing from the store. Just today found another missing because it sold on another site and went to remove it was no where to be found. I got over 10,000 in the store, really wonder what is missing

I have been checking my inventory twice a year. I keep my photos too so I can relist quickly.

I did an audit of my shoes and found that 79 of about 400 were not listed. Very annoying.

I have 40,000 listings, so I have to accept that there might be some loss. Fortunately, space will never become an issue for me. Since that’s the case, my time is better spent making new listings rather than searching for possible lost listings.

If you ever find that you are running out of stock to list, that might be a place to start.

It is like Ebay came into your store and loaded up a cart of merchandise and then never paid for it. So that cart of merchandise is just sitting there in limbo. That is a lot of stuff you found.

Lordy what a mess of loose ends and clearance crap. In your expertise, have you not seen the desire to develop a niche?

    • @FlippinAintEasy
      @FlippinAintEasy  2 дні тому

It is not about desire. That is the ultimate way to sell, BUT, it is finding consistent sourcing for a product that sells well. I have not been able to find that yet.

I always send a copy of the pictures taken to my my email, just so I have it on hand... along with whatever Name - the item is called... just makes it easier in the end... also it's handy if I have to respond to an inquiry.. from a potential buyer..LaxvespaLosAngeles
