Got 4 tickets in a 1970 442 w-30 4 speed convertible in the 80's. It was repainted, reapolstered, and it had a ford 9" read
Black with old stripes, black convertible top. 3.91 Detroit locker. When turning corners the tires would squeal.
Great muscle car. It would leave rubber in 4th gear at 40 mph with M50's on the back. Very impressive car and a lot of fun.
This one is a beauty! Glad to see the driver getting on it at the end of the video.

THANK YOU for that peel. A car like this deserves not to be a garage queen, even with how beautifully it was restored. Keep the legend alive!

Beautiful '70. There is something special about a black car with gold trim. Great color combination!
One detail about the lack of a/c on this one-- a 4-speed W-30 could have had a/c if the rear gear ratio was low enough (3.23:1). This car probably has a 3.42 or 3.91 rear gear.
Did this car sell? I hope it went to a good home.
    Thanks for posting!

Stick grind camshaft 328 duration not the 308 to hard on compressor and no vacume for power breaks ... I have a '70 W-30 automatic 3:90:1 Posi manual steering & breaks I swapped out the 308 cam for the 328 stick grind and a few tricks along with mild head work running 12:60's @ 103 m.p.h. in the 1/4 mile..
I don't have air conditioning I just wish it was post car with bench seat less weight .. nice unit even the hood with the screen you know it org. Would be nice to see the letter on the head "F". And that Oldsmobile W-455 or W-30 in the intake manifold depending on what casting they used from winters ❄️ same with the rear end if W-27 option aluminum third member...I see a lot of fakes with just the cover and the fender wells are a bright red I still have my org. Carburetor exhaust manifolds and 308 duration camshaft in the barn along with many other motors & transmissions. Looking for a '68 next...

Fantastic car and the proper color red for the inner fender wells would have been nice to see head letter along with intake manifold writing...

Also it wood be nice if the original clutch fan was back in the car.If it is a correct good working one they work well .I personally like the orii clutch fan that it came with because it's all less reciprocating weight bearing on the extension that that always spinning one used and makes that jet sound . like mine that I have saved for decades now and is not a 4 speed one like all the ones that I have sold mine too and this one was correct by coming from the factory with no fan shroud? Beautiful car ! I too have the original paint only mtr. But mine is much more metallic blue than what's there.,

Two seat belts sticking out on the driver’s side. Did they really expect a third passenger to ride on the console 😂👍🤷‍♀️
    No fan clutch, interesting ❗️
