Thanks so much for the info, I watched several other videos, but didn't have any luck repairing my heater until watching yours and following all your steps! Very helpful, thanks again!!
I learned a lot. Great video. I presume a 100k btu is primarily the same in concept. I came here to learn why mine is not working. I’ll give the repair a try. Thanks!!!
I have an older Koehring M 30. It was running fine and then gave it up. I cleaned the nozzle and the head as you showed how to do. Cleaned the filter in the tank. Checked the hoses for cracks. And the electric eye seems to be working all right. It will shut it down if it has sporadic flame. I did a soap test and it was leaking. I tightened it up and did a little temporary fix and got it started. Now it will run with the cover off but doesn’t act very robust. As soon as I put the cover on it will fire up and the electric eye will shut it down within a few seconds. I ordered new air filters from Torpedo Heat but I’m just wondering it if it could be something else. I haven’t done the pressure gauge test yet. I need to order one so that I can. I get the feeling that it is an air related issue. I should probably order a new nozzle since the one in there is probably older than the hills.
Great videos. I have a all pro 60000, it runs for 15-20 minutes then shuts down, I've already cleaned the photocell, it doesn't help, I had the same issue last year after cleaning the photocell it was fine last year. Would you have any idea? Thanks for any help
Hello,I have a Dyna glo pro, not sure on the size. I'm doing maintenance on it as last time I tried using it, it would not start. Replaced hoses, not sure if it's an air leak issue or what. Question, with the air line from pump to nozzle, if I cover the outlet with my finger and pressure increases on the gauge, does that mean something is wrong? Gauge is barely registering any pressure, and second question, if the grommet which seals the fuel filter to the tank is not sealing good, will it not get fuel to the nozzle? Thanks for any help
The grommett will not cause a low fuel problem it is just there to keep fuel from leaking out of the tank. chances are you need a filter cover. A single BTU cover is best here is the link to the cover torpedoheatparts.com/click-here-for-parts/ols/products/filter-cover-3221-0029-00-dynaglo-thermoheat-288310040-572696
@@TorpedoHeat The heater wasn't working when I got it for free from a friend, just needed an air and fuel hose, worked great for a while. This time around it wouldn't fire up after sitting all summer, I cleaned out the fuel tank, there was alot of ugly build up in there. I did notice I over tightened the filter cover, and put a small crack in it, guessing that created a leak, reducing air pressure. I will order some parts and keep you updated, thanks for your help.
@@TorpedoHeat I'm about to start pulling out my hair with this one...I replaced filters, filter cover, new rotor/vane kit, made sure they drop like they should, used Teflon on all the bolts to make sure there's no leaks, still not making more than like 1.5-2 psi. Checked for air leaks with soapy water, only place it's leaking is at the pressure regulator screw, but that's normal isn't it? Not sure what else it could be...thanks.
Sounds like you need a curcuit board if the motor and air compressor are good. Check that the fan turns freely by hand. I have the All pro 60,000. I was having some issues firing up., got spark and the flame would light up in short bursts and burn out Everything seems good internally . I cleaned the nozzle, she fired right up. I then shut it down and moved it to the floor. Tried turning on and im getting the same issue. Have fresh fuel in the tank. What do u think? Thanks!
I have a Procom magnum 220vt I purchased on an online auction. It is in like new condition. It runs fine with the cover off but when i put the cover on it will not fire. Hoses and filter appear to be in good condition. I put on a new igniter. Any suggestions?
Procom parts are not available for the most part. That said check the compressor for air leaks using soapy water. If you need to call me my number is 216 801 6215
Is this a kerosene heater ?? If so try turning the pressure up just a bit. Also you need to check for air leaks around the rear filter cover and compressor area. Your air lines must have tight connections at the barb fittings. You must also have good fuel flow with a clean fuel filter. Feel free to call me at 216 801-6215.
Hello I have a Procom Magnum (PCK 80T) heater that has always not worked real well, and honestly we hadn’t used it much in the past, but have been trying to use it lately with no real success. I am running diesel in it currently. I plug it in and it always comes on. Sometimes it lasts a few seconds before shutting off and sometimes it lasts an hour before shutting off. Generally it is just a few minutes. Very frustrating. I would love any help or purchase any parts needed. Thanks.
It sounds like the photocell is bad but not common for a new heater. I would suggest checking it for air leaks by using soapy water on all the air compnenets.
I've checked the photo cell and it appears to be good. I sprayed soapy water on the back area. Is air supposed to come out of the middle of the adjustment screw for the air pump?
@@traethornton5728 Yes it should pump air out of the adjustment screw. The thing about photocells it that they can test good but go bad when they get hot from the heater running. Especially if you run it on thermostat causing the temps under the hood to rise
Lots of times they dont repair the smaller heaters if there is a big problem. Usually the larger heaters are worth fixing. Lots of people will fix a heater no matter what depends on the person.
