The joy of your videos Ian is in part because of Clementine, her relaxed engine note calms you and your viewer down even if people do not realise this fact ! Having ridden my Classic 350 for nearly 2 and a half years, it always amazes me that this bike has become my favourite bike in over 53 years of riding. I hope you and Anne make a full recovery from covid and Anne gets her diagnosis as soon as possible 😊

It's always hard when you have a brand, Fender & Gibson Guitars have tried for decades to bring out new models and modernise but everyone wants a Stratocaster, Telecaster or Les Paul, just like from the 50's! I look forward to seeing the Guerilla at the bike show, and hopefully a Classic 650 👍
Absolutely agree Glyn, those companies who copy the famous guitar brands, make them look/feel like the Strat, or LP so they can sell them. Good to see you both out and about. I agree with you on the Royal Enfield front. If they keep churning out the same bixe with air cooled engines the Euro emissions will no doubt catch up with them for a start. The Guerrilla is more of an upgrade of a Hunter style bike than a Scram to me.

You are of course completely correct in what you say about the Enfield brand not standing still this new Gorilla is no exception a great looking bike and seems to be going down very well with those who are supposed to know .Alas I feel that both BSA and Norton seem to have stood still with not much happening at all , I fear if this does not change they are likely to disappear quite quickly especially with the Chinese bringing out ever more new and updated models at very competitive prices. These I know are not popular with many but neither were the Japanese bikes way back when and look what happened there only my opinion 😁great watch cheers👌👍

Speedy recovery to you and your better half, i agree regarding the 452 guerrilla i am very tempted to get one as an everyday bike hits the sweetspot regarding power handling weight and good build quality along with a strong dealer network 😀.
Glad you're both on the mend Ian. Have to admit the new Himalayan doesn't flick any of my switches, much prefer the 1st generation however, from what I've seen and heard about the new Guerrilla it looks to be a cracker with its slimmed down tank and 17 inch wheels. It's also remarkably light along with the sensible seat height to. My dealer is expecting a showroom bike and a demonstrator anytime now and will ring me as soon as it hits the showroom floor. I understand there is also a boat load of them currently crossing the pond. Some of the colour schemes look odd - why have a black back wheel and a blue front one?🤔 However if they look as good in the flesh and they ride well I maybe persuaded to trade the Classic in for one. The Meteor Aurora is a keeper though. Look forward to your next vlog, enjoy your break.🙂👍 T

G'day Ian, you've both been doing it a bit tough of late, so I hope that the upcoming trip is beneficial for the pair of you. The Guerrilla isn't really my style of bike, so I'll stick with my trusty Guzzi 750 Breva, even if it is a bit heavier. 👍

I haven’t been out on Bella for two weeks, I was advised by my GP to have the shingles jab now I’m 65 so I had it and have been quite ill , at one point I was taken to hospital with a heart problem so I’ve got to see my doctor again. I have to say the ambulance staff were fab but the staff at newcross hospital were awful, they got rid of me without even speaking to me so I’m confused? The thing is I’ve got have a second jab January? Like ech I will? Hope you and Ann both get well soon ❤❤

Hope you both are feeling much better soon Ian. I’m not a fan of the new Guerrilla 450 but not because I think they should stick to retro bikes. On the contrary, innovation is the driving force to any company that wants to stay in business. It just that there’s something about the style of the bike that leaves me cold. I might think differently once I’ve seen it up close though. 👍

It definitely won’t appeal to everyone, some of the colours are too “funky” for a start, but for those who have a dig at them for trying to be different (well as different as you can with two wheels, a frame and engine), is just being blinkered. Suggesting RE should just stick to Classic looking bikes, is a bit silly 😂 Cheers

RE are like a pop group that had a few hits, it's hard to keep that magic going. Will they be an ABBA or a Joe Dolce - Shaddap ya face? I don't think many were impressed by the "Bullet 350" which was shameful IMO. Going forward will depend on the future of the ICE, luckily they have a huge domestic customer base. Looking forward to your ride on the G-450. All the best to you THREE 🐕
@@icedidi I will say, India and China along with many other countries, the ICE will will live a long time. India has to be the largest market for RE, so do they need the rest of the countries if they go to electric. I don't see electric for another 20 years. I hope to be about dead by then.

RE are doing a good job of trying to keep ahead of the times, but I agree…….if the government do get to ban new ice vehicles by 2030, then logic suggests that manufacturers need to “fill their boots” while they can…..meanwhile, we will have to buy a new bike just before the ban 😢 and hope fuel prices don’t go through the roof.

Morning James, I like getting lost occasionally 😂 (don’t take kindly to being told to though 🤔😂) I really can see that Sherpa 450 engine appearing in more different bike styles in the future, though unsure whether the engine characteristics would suit a Classic 🤔. To my eyes, the Guerrilla, takes me back to the early 80’s, when we were “styling” our bikes to look different. When I first saw the white/blue colour scheme, I thought RD-LC…..the difference being that I would have painted the rear wheel the same as the front. Just having the front in blue, really sends my ocd into overdrive 😂. So how long have you had your cough ? Cheers

Plus, saying what they think RE should be producing, like the Guerrilla with a 650 engine, or an 800+ etc. Some people are just being blinkered, and I am expecting one of my subscribers to chime in with a similar comment either on here or when I do get to do a demo ride 🫣🙄😂, he will get told ……. 😂 Cheers

The new Guerrilla 450 looks like a bunch of old, half-used tubes of Windsor & Newton oil paint wadded together into a vaguely motorcycle-shaped object.
Judging by the several Enfield riders I view on UA-cam the natural habitat for these narrow country lanes (I write that just as you mentioned the Facebook group). Also my sort of road but my ADV350 has more horses and I rarely open throttle very far (which makes me tempted for something lighter and less powerful) Your caravan site looks very close to Martin Trafford Moorland Rider with his Himalayan

Yes, a lot of us learnt that one, Dino... I did, a bare 2 miles after I'd picked up my brand-new Jawa 250 from Pride & Clark in London, back in 1963. Darned thing nipped up on me and locked the back wheel. Still ride with my fingers on the clutch lever. By the way, back in 2015 the Classic Car Collection in Qawra had a very nice Kawasaki W1 on display. Just out of curiousity, would you know if they still have it?

They come and go like a relay, and generally drift off by lunch time. Seems you have 4or5 years on me! Do you still ride? I still do and enjoy it, having a choice of 5 , to ride as and when Circs apply.

I'm getting seriously tempted with these Royal Enfields. As much as I love the look and sound of the Classic 350, the new Guerilla has thrown a spanner in the works! I love to ride my Tracer 900 but the more I think about it a smaller capacity bike could sit alongside it for those lazy rides round the lanes in my area. And the price of the Enfields is very reasonable and easy to justify...Some great footage there by the way.
Thanks Paul……the “Mars Bar” black really grabs me, the white and blue does too, but I would have to get the rear wheel sprayed to match the front 🫣. If the Guerrilla Package, is as good as the Himi 450, it will be another brilliant do it all bike. Bimble down the back lanes, “scratching” (remember when we used to call it that 😂) on A and faster B roads, a bit of motorway work thrown in too….and all for around £5000….unbelievable value in my humble opinion. The proof of course will be in the riding, can’t wait. Cheers

It definitely won’t appeal to everyone, some of the colours are too “funky” for a start, but for those who have a dig at them for trying to be different (well as different as you can with two wheels, a frame and engine), is just being blinkered. Suggesting RE should just stick to Classic looking bikes, is a bit silly 😂 Cheers

RE are like a pop group that had a few hits, it's hard to keep that magic going. Will they be an ABBA or a Joe Dolce - Shaddap ya face? I don't think many were impressed by the "Bullet 350" which was shameful IMO. Going forward will depend on the future of the ICE, luckily they have a huge domestic customer base. Looking forward to your ride on the G-450. All the best to you THREE 🐕
@@icedidi I will say, India and China along with many other countries, the ICE will will live a long time. India has to be the largest market for RE, so do they need the rest of the countries if they go to electric. I don't see electric for another 20 years. I hope to be about dead by then.

RE are doing a good job of trying to keep ahead of the times, but I agree…….if the government do get to ban new ice vehicles by 2030, then logic suggests that manufacturers need to “fill their boots” while they can…..meanwhile, we will have to buy a new bike just before the ban 😢 and hope fuel prices don’t go through the roof.

Morning James, I like getting lost occasionally 😂 (don’t take kindly to being told to though 🤔😂) I really can see that Sherpa 450 engine appearing in more different bike styles in the future, though unsure whether the engine characteristics would suit a Classic 🤔. To my eyes, the Guerrilla, takes me back to the early 80’s, when we were “styling” our bikes to look different. When I first saw the white/blue colour scheme, I thought RD-LC…..the difference being that I would have painted the rear wheel the same as the front. Just having the front in blue, really sends my ocd into overdrive 😂. So how long have you had your cough ? Cheers

Hi Ian, regarding the Guerrilla I don't closely follow RE channels in particular so I haven't heard what negative things are being said about the bike ( It seems a winner too me)

Morning Dave. Saying things like “RE should stick to air cooled classics”, “why aren’t RE staying with what they do best”…that sort of thing. Plus, saying what they think RE should be producing, like the Guerrilla with a 650 engine, or an 800+ etc. Some people are just being blinkered, and I am expecting one of my subscribers to chime in with a similar comment either on here or when I do get to do a demo ride 🫣🙄😂, he will get told ……. 😂 Cheers

The new Guerrilla 450 looks like a bunch of old, half-used tubes of Windsor & Newton oil paint wadded together into a vaguely motorcycle-shaped object.

Judging by the several Enfield riders I view on UA-cam the natural habitat for these narrow country lanes (I write that just as you mentioned the Facebook group). Also my sort of road but my ADV350 has more horses and I rarely open throttle very far (which makes me tempted for something lighter and less powerful)

Yes, a lot of us learnt that one, Dino... I did, a bare 2 miles after I'd picked up my brand-new Jawa 250 from Pride & Clark in London, back in 1963. Darned thing nipped up on me and locked the back wheel. Still ride with my fingers on the clutch lever. By the way, back in 2015 the Classic Car Collection in Qawra had a very nice Kawasaki W1 on display. Just out of curiousity, would you know if they still have it?
@@chrisweeks6973 Really don't know Chris, but at our local bar on Sundays, we get an amazing mix of classic cars ,and bikes, all makes and all pristine! So i don't have to travel, or pay to view. They come and go like a relay, and generally drift off by lunch time. Seems you have 4or5 years on me! Do you still ride? I still do and enjoy it, having a choice of 5 , to ride as and when Circs apply.

I went there with an ex-RAF mate who was living in St. Paul's Bay. Re years, I'm 78; you? Yes, I still ride, an '05 Moto Guzzi Breva 750; just have the one - no space (or cash!) for any more. 😊
@@chrisweeks6973 Hi Chris,me, i am just 74! I have heard that the museum is very good, maybe, one gloomy day in the winter, I"ll give it a visit, yes we do have Winter, it lasts 6to8 weeks, in January and February, and gets down to 60f,daytime, and we DO feel cold! Cheers DINO.
I'm getting seriously tempted with these Royal Enfields. As much as I love the look and sound of the Classic 350, the new Guerilla has thrown a spanner in the works! I love to ride my Tracer 900 but the more I think about it a smaller capacity bike could sit alongside it for those lazy rides round the lanes in my area. And the price of the Enfields is very reasonable and easy to justify...Some great footage there by the way.
Thanks Paul……the “Mars Bar” black really grabs me, the white and blue does too, but I would have to get the rear wheel sprayed to match the front 🫣. If the Guerrilla Package, is as good as the Himi 450, it will be another brilliant do it all bike. Bimble down the back lanes, “scratching” (remember when we used to call it that 😂) on A and faster B roads, a bit of motorway work thrown in too….and all for around £5000….unbelievable value in my humble opinion. The proof of course will be in the riding, can’t wait. Cheers
