Do you buy Harbaugh's explanation?
@BobbyBaltimore no I don't I truly think it's the punter/ holder issue cause Tucker didn't start having trouble until then 🤔
Eating too much greasy Royal Farms chicken is the real reason !!! JK Luv ya Tuck
😂
I truly thank it's the holder/ punter issue since he's been the holder Tuckers has been having problems
Exactly.
It's highly possible. Might be the way he's holding the ball?
@@evooke7070 when Koch was our holder, they practiced over and over and over. Kock talked about how his goal was to give tuck the same hold every single time. Not sure if the new punter has that same mentality. But Harbs saying that it's a technical issue, could be on the punter... I hope they get it together
A technique issue that hasn’t been resolved since last year. Why would he address Tucker as a friend in regards to a business situation ? Harbaugh has allowed his personal feelings and relationships effect the Raven’s success throughout his tenure as their Head Coach. Starting with his coaching choices. If you do the research, you’ll see most of hires have been a friend of his or associated with his Father or Brother. They were not the best choices for the Ravens.
It’s very rare for John to come out and be this honest about a team leaders on field play. I’ll take Harbs at his word, and I will remain confident in Tuckers ability. Over a 12 year career this really is his first “slump”. He hasn’t declined physically yet and great kickers tend to stay consistent into their late 30’s even touching 40.
On another note, Ravens looked good this week. I’ve been critical of our fan base for our unreasonable demands of the offense the last couple years. This Sunday we had an identity and it allowed Lamar to not be the only show in town. I was reminded of our ‘19 and ‘20 team this past Sunday. Run the football down their throat and let Lamar play off of that. That’s when he’s his best and that is Baltimore football. We never needed to reinvent the wheel in the first place.
💯 straight facts! Stop listening to the media's narrative about Lamar, and play to our strengths. Our identity is a run first, pass second team. Stick to that!
@@BrianJones-cu2sx I agree with your 2nd paragraph
It would suck watching Justin Tucker go from being at the top of the game for so long, to fading out of the league as he ages out.
No I think he's just not using him enough at moments when he can make the difference instead going for it on 4th down.
he's been hitting them in practice no problem so what's the issue on the field
Exactly. He did a 70 yard kick in practice and now he's failing.
I have heard in camp he was looking better then ever
@stephaniemcdowell1010 im questioning the ball thrower and holder in those situations. What is off at the point of the snap? And if there's a physical/technical flaw. Every flaw can be exploited to your advantage, so what's the adjustments to be made?
Kicker here. From my observations, this is a technique issue. From what I'm noticing, Tucker seems to be over-rotating his hips more than normal. As a result, it appears that he is wrapping his foot around the right panel. Post contact, his torso follows the direction of his over-rotatation. This is most certainly a compounding issue between technique and mental as you need to break recent muscle memory and have confidence that you won't do what is comfortable. That said, kicking is incredibly nuanced at this level, and Tucker is as meticulous as they come. He or Randy Brown may see something others don't. Justin has always had a narrow plant but made up for it with his lateral lean and quick hips. I have no doubt the goat will be back to true form.
My credentials: UFL kicker invitee to the invite only John Carney and Nick Novak combine out in San Diego (hopefully I make it).
This!
Maybe it's time to draft a kicker
He has until the end of the season.
In Tucker We Trust...right? He'll get it together. Slow down on the royal farms chicken box commercials.
It goes back to last year, and it was visible then. We need to move on. Thankful for all he's done, but it's time. This is a business.
Lol. Typical Raven fan. Less than a season of mostly misses over 50 yards. And you want to get rid of one of the best kickers of all time at 32 years old. It's easily fixable. His leg strength is still there.
WHAT?! What a lunatic statement…we should be 3-0, but aren’t, that said, we are still arguably the best in the league….dude misses a couple FGs and it’s, “get rid of him”…couldn’t Het anymore idiotic
@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 it's not a couple, it's almost into the double digits. This defense is questionable too as they give up way too many points and they give up double digit leads like no other team in the league. "Should be" and "are" are very different things.
Too early. Massive overreaction. As a bills fan i’d take current day Tucker over Tyler Bass any time any day
🤡
It’s the holder.
It's not
If you play golf, you know it’s about ball position. Starting last year jt has been missing left. It looks like over rotation. I think he needs to get his plant leg up a little bit. His foot is closing at the moment of contact. Similar to a club face in golf
The issue is las vegas.....
Dont be visibly fading like Dan Bailey instead of retiring top of the game
Love the jerry jones quote when he could have drafted Braelon Allen, Blake Corum, like any of these RBs....
Justin needs to get back to football and slack up on filming so many commercials 😂
Look at Chris Boswell couple years ago he was missing almost every field goal
Harbaugh supposed to be a special team specialist these missed field goals are intolerable
Tucker getting soft now that he has that fried chicken money
He's on his last leg. Literally. He's been in the game for a while.
It's been a technique issue from last year, but yet it's not resolved.
It takes time
Get that man some good top or cat he’ll be alright
😂😂 careful, if the top too fire he might loose his soul. B-MO don't need a soulless J-Tucker at all....
Unpopular opinion... Tucker's got the yips. A professional kicker at the level of Tucker already has the physical tools to nail FGs from all over the field. During a game, it's all mental. There's something going on with Tucker mentally.
I don’t think it’s a technique issue. I just think he didn’t wanna blame another player for the issue. Y would Tuck change technique after becoming the most accurate kicker in history? It doesn’t make sense. He’s been missing since the Wolfpack got broken up in 2021-2022. He’s had a different place holder since, so maybe it’s something with the way the ball is being held.
Technique? Come on. Did he change his technique after all these years??? I call BS!!!
He's missing because of gambling on games. He was paid to miss
Who is are back up kicker?? We need to try him.
I think he’s not happy! He doesn’t look happy!!!
It’s called point shaving
Tucker is enrolled in Rocky & Bullwinkle Alma mater " What's Matta U" just kidding 😮😮
Kickers r a fickle lot. The “yips” r real and prove my point. Kicking isn’t physical it’s mental. Once they lose their confidence leg strength etc just doesn’t matter. I’ve heard pro boxers say boxing is 99% mental. Now I’m not saying Tucker is done but it’s very concerning, if things snowball it could be over for him very quickly.
I think it’s his new holder.
I have not seen any holds from Stout that have been questionable the entire pigskin has been in full view every time Tucker has attempted the FG. I personally think Tucker is in his own head and needs to re center himself.
feels like he has the yips. not buying a technique issue for a veteran of his stature, and he’s too young to be having this sharp of a decline. i think it’s mental. maybe playing for a different team would snap him out of it. idk. i just really hate it for him. hope he figures it out
Any golfer knows that missing on the same side each time knows that there is a fundamental / technique issue.
JT
If he hits them in practice with that holder but he misses in the games with the live holder it seems to me that's the problem somehow
Tucker is a bus move on from hell hey he going to make us lose if we depend on him
The Ravens are lacking playmakers.
When you pay 1 player 50+mil a year, you cant afford misses in the draft, or bad player development.
I wouldn’t say we’re lacking playmakers. We have a TON of playmakers on defense (Hamilton, roquon, van noy, etc.) and a ton on offense (Lamar, king Henry, likely, mandrews, flowers, Justice hill, etc) I think we just need to organize them better and play to their strengths. It’s the job of the coaching staff to use your talent the correct way.
It isn’t a technique issue. Tucker has been a leader at his position for 14 seasons. It’s a mental issue.
Give me some substance as to why you immediately write it off as a technique issue?
Al Del Greco!
They restructured his contract, basically took some of his money away this year. He is the goat. And this is on a failing offense that doesn’t utilize his talent and now he’s making less money. I’m just saying maybe it’s not a coincidence. Maybe it’s not a technique issue
