- People from communities all over California watched the skies in hopes of catching a glimpse of space shuttle Endeavour as it was ferried on the NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft to Los Angeles on Sept. 21, 2012.
On its final flight to the California Science Center, Endeavour was escorted by a combination of F/A-18s and an F-15 from NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. Those aircraft were flown by NASA Armstrong pilots, while center photographers and videographers documented the orbiter’s final journey.
Included on the space shuttle’s flight path were many California landmarks such as the California State Capitol Building, Disneyland, Dodger Stadium, the Getty Center, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Hollywood sign. Also on the route were the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, NASA’s Ames Research Center, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, and the Santa Monica Pier.

To have seen this fly over was very emotional. I was privileged to help walk with it from the hanger to a site near LAX. To see her bumps and bruises brought tears to my eyes. I miss this beautiful beast taking off and head to space 🚀
I was in class in Sacramento, they announced for everyone to go outside and look up. I’ll never forget it
In one word : Awesome.
I can't believe I forgot this was today! I remember seeing that old thing trek across LA like it was nothing. Heard they even had to cut a few trees down to make way for the shuttle. This was a really fun thing to see back then, and I hope we get more programs like this. I hope you guys keep growing to be better than your past one day, looking back at the Space Shuttle Program and what could have been better, or left the same! Have a great day, NASA.
I had the privilege of taking a photo and seeing flyover live while being in high school it flew right over my home town and it was the first time seeing a space shuttle with my own eyes instead of TV it was a great feeling and the best experience ever.
I was very blessed to have seen the Endeavor at CA Science Center last month. I was able to see it up close and stand under it to see all that it was made of. Such a sight to behold! I wish many kids will get to see this and be inspired!:)
I saw this video again tonight. It brought back tears and all the emotions. I was privileged to be at Edward's the day before and see it land for the last time at Edward's. We talked with the pilots. We were able to walk under the aircraft and the shuttle. I will never forget the emotions of pride and gratitude. Truly amazing! The next day as it was heading to LA I was having coffee pn my patio. It was flying over the boulevard right over my house. It was gorgeous and unimaginable that something this big could go this low and slow and still stay up. So proud
I was child in the 1982 and I still remember the first mission of Columbia, thanks for this video very emotional 👍 I think the Shuttle it's unforgettable like Apollo Gemini an Mercury missions
I was at my mom's house waiting for it to pass over Tucson. I heard a deep rumble and knew it was the shuttle. I got on the roof in order to see it pass over, absolutely amazing.
I was so honored to be part of the Antelope Valley family to see the flying overhead just amazing.
I love California science Center And Space shuttles
That thing flew over my neighborhood, I remember it like it was yesterday!!
My friend got a photo of the shuttle with the hollywood sign in the foreground from around 4 miles away in silverlake at maltman and bellview on a roof.
Wonderful
All of people won't forgot that
It flew over my school, we all went outside and watched it! So cool!
I remember seeing it fly over my grandparents’ house! I was there. I was 5 years old! In 2019, on the July 7th, I went down to the California science center to see it up close for my 12th birthday! I still remember seeing it fly over me. Nostalgia hits hard, am I right?
What gets me is why is that thing even up in the air that is truly amazing
What air? you mean the smog?.
I was on top of the parking structure at Disneyland (along with a few thousand other people) watching this fly over.
I remember like it was yesterday! what a time it was!
10 Years....

I would love to thank President
Barack for his Courage, Super fade away jump shot. Service to Our Great
USA
amen.
Remember very well the fly over Hollywood when I lived in the hills.
I love everything SpaceX has done for our space program from Rockets to Capsules, but the Shuttle had a style to it that SpaceX's Dragon capsules just can't match. The shuttle was like a corvette in space to my eyes. Probably why I am so looking forward to the successes of the Starship program.
Silky smooth touchdown
Lovely! Wow! Wish I was there!
How is this the first time I've seen this?! Must have been sleeping 10 years ago when this happened. Wooooooooooow
I saw it when they took it no Manchester Boulevard and Crenshaw and I also saw it when they flew it around City Hall downtown Los Angeles. I went across the street from my job and went on the top floor the rooftop of City Hall and They Circle, City Hall a couple times.
long live the queen
Remember this when they charge you for being overweight on luggage.
Beautiful! What's the music?

After visiting many planets in our solar system and landing on the moon many a times its absolutely Wonderful to see Endeavour being piggy backed to its final retirement home. So proud to be an American. Salute!
"visiting many planets in our solar system" - hahaha you make me laugh. Have you been watching too much Star Trek?
love nasa❤❤ USA
Gotta love how they cheer, "USA! USA!", while the thing is going to the scrapyard...
