I love this woman. Her poetry inspired me to celebrate womanhood! Sharon Olds is an autobiographical woman poet. Thank you Sharon!

I love her too. For twenty years since first reading her glorious words. Wish I had known of her break from her first love (he could not possibly have "known" her, all the years they were together, else he could never leave her), prior to her finding her second. May he prove more worthily responsive to, and generative with her all consuming heart. They may then, become One, forever, "or else, swoon to death".

Coming back to this every once in a while when I want to be awash with poetic experience.

I’m a man and Sharon Olds is by far my favorite poet. She is absolutely fearless in her work and her own is mighty!

She is like an innocent older woman. She understands all the muck in reality but walks on the grass alongside it all.)

Amazing, and if you pay attention closely and not take her too seriously, she might even hit you with a great sense of humor; the pinata.
