Haha. I did that one a few years ago and just recently rediscovered the video. But....we have a few 'actors' at Logistics Bureau so watch this space.... 😉
Very nice video. In fact this happens more often than one might think. I would love to see a series about the full warehouse outsourcing process from the make or buy analysis, RFI (what it is and how to use it), RFQ (what to put inside), Contract (must haves and no gos), Implementation and Contract management.
the value of this video is simply unfathomable! i'm going to watch this a few times to fully understand every aspect. i could see the problems but to articulate them like you have on this level is so good to watch. thanks again Rob. I'm on a binge of your channel today, there goes my Saturday! hahaha
Excellent video and its almost funny as I see this all the time with projects, not even outsourced projects. You have 'project managers' gunning ahead at projects with a half arsed idea of what they want, but zero idea of what the impact on the key users or the how of implentation will happen. They ostracise the people on the cold face eg planners/warehouse staff/IT. And mid way when they realise it is a cockup, rather than admit they mismanaged the project and try resteer the problem, they stick with the initial plan to try save face.
Some of the common interests for both sides in my view:- Minimum return of products from customer (Specific quality products must be sent) Understanding Increase and decrease of transport cost (Fuel Price) Accepting common goal of cheap service (Both should try to cut costs regularly)

That would take a lot of videos........though most of that is included in our online education program. www.supplychainsecrets.com/

Good points! Managing expectations from the outset is so important!
Very nice video! thanks! It would be great if we could have a video specifically written for an RFT and "how to compare different offers objectively".
We'll aim to do that soon. Good idea!
What Logistics Outsourcing tip would you add? Or what other problem have you seen?
Make sure you go to the 3pl site.
Container detentions, how to manage this on a contract with a freight forwarder and their subcontractors.
Kindly make video regarding Remote job from Pakistan as a freight broker in USA
That would be a hard video to make I think, without knowledge of both markets!
@@supplychainsecrets no if we wanna work from pakistan for Usa based shipper in that case
Good
A bit of fun but hopefully with some imoprtant messages too.
