Awesome gifts wow, I like when Chanel's send stickers as it is a great way to find others out there when you shout them out, cheers. I always check the comments as thats another way to find great content creators.
Hi Joatmon, thanks for the comment. Check out Paul at the Knackler's Workshop, he has some great sticker boards and good videos talking about what each channel does. Cheers, Jon
That's the Mercedes of all boring & facing head's, like others, can't wait to see you put it in action. I am humbled, and now that Sammie & I are (shared via our sticker) proud to be a little part of your shop, my deepest thanks. I did resend Tom over 2 Hill Top Machine shop some stickers I had extra of some creators, and another new memorial card of Sammie. She would have wanted me to continue supporting channels like yours and those that we followed from the first day we started our small BRS channel. May you tip a Guinness to my our Sammie, and sure she will whisper "Cheers", and Keep on Keeping on! Bear
Hi Jon, you have some great gifts from your viewers there. I'm sure the boring head will be put to good use in future projects. I look forward to watching those videos.
Magnanimous donations by all 👍. Yep, thats a proper vernier calliper, i think ive used, with a helper of course an 8 feet one. Looking forward to some precision swarf Jon. Thanks for sharing
Hi John, thanks for the comment. Lol, it's a monster, totally unsuitable for my stuff, I was once thinking of making some parallels out of a couple of foot of it to make it more useful. Cheers, Jon
Some fantastic gifts there Jon. The boring head is amazing. All that metal stock will be so useful. Agree its so expensive to buy on line. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Nobby
Such a great community youtube Jon. I've been laying a base & building a greenhouse over the last month and the greenhouse community has been great with little tricks & hints on making the build easier, Unfortunately, I never videoed it but I did take pictures which are on my Facebook page & the rhino greenhouse group page.
Hi Bill, thanks for the comment. It certainly is. Restores your faith in humanity which in this day and age is a very rare and treasured experience. Cheers, Jon
Great Outcome Jon. Fantastic couple of Professional Tooling you have there. Those small boring heads are getting like Gold Dust now. I suppose UA-cam exposure has now made them a very desireable item. Although German, you may find that the head is Imperial in measurements. i.e 40 thou on diameter per revolution or it could be 1 mm. The collets too could be Metric or Imperial, both the Od and ID, so be warned 😊 Enjoy. Regards from Australia.
Hi Dave, thanks for the comment. When I really get to using it, I will be assessing properly for sure. No point me figuring it out yet as I will forget it all within 24 hrs lol. Cheers, Jon
Hi Andy, thanks for the comment. I did consider this but opted for commonality with the existing one, I would definitely end up losing the nuts off the end, as you will see shortly, the design I went with prevents that issue. Cheers, Jon
Great boring head as a gift John, you missing even a stopblock on the travelgide, but that's a small item to make. I don't now if they making them in imperial size, i think only in metric. Spare parts are for sale in Germany. They are great heads, i have two, one with the 30 taper for my small mill and one with an R8 holder for the Bridgeport.
WOW Jon, I am luminescent neon green with envy over the Wohlhaupter. I’ve wanted one for years, but even beat-up ones with neither box nor accessories are costly, and pristine examples like yours are simply unobtainable. I suspect the Gotteswinter videos have something to do with it. 🤔
Hi Dudley, thanks for the comment. Yes, I agree. Pretty sure Stefan has raised awareness which will have driven up demand and prices etc. They really are excellent quality. Cheers, Jon
Lol. Now that is what you call a vernier. I’ll pass. Awesome that I made the cupboard. Thanks for the shout, though I guess my workbench might stress out some of your viewers.
Nice one Jon . That's the gift of a century , a helicopter boring & facing head ! 👍👍👍
Hi Max. Lol, great new name for it, and by the way, if I put the biggest extension bar in, it won't be far off a helicopter. Cheers, Jon
