Can’t go wrong with Tears for Fears! One of the greatest bands of the 80’s. 😎🙌🏻
They really shaped the Sounds of the 80's!
@@xoxxobob61 what does that mean exactly bc then what did MJ, Prince, Madonna etc... shape?
@@juliemcdaniel499, the answer to your question is "pop music". Those artists shaped pop music. TFF is NOT a pop band.
@@juliemcdaniel499 The artists you listed did shape the musical landscape in the 80's as well. My point about Tears For Fears is that they were pioneers when it came to New Wave during the 80's.
@@xoxxobob61 they did for me personally. I just entered my 20’s
when they came out and their music stayed with me the rest of my
life. Saw them thirty years ago. Got tickets to see them this summer.
80s was the greatest decade for music. All genres, bands, groups, all colors, music crossed color lines. We danced and sang to everything! Keep on listening, fellas,!!
It really was a great decade for Music in all Genres like you said!
Absolutely!!!!
You are correct the 80's was the best for music.
Absolutely
Absolutely. Popular music today is really homogenous. In the 80's, you could turn on the radio and hear Michael Jackson, Huey Lewis and the News, Madonna, Prince, Duran Duran, Run DMC, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Simply Red and Bon Jovi over the course of a couple of hours. Tons of variety, inventive music -- today it all sounds mass produced.
Oh YES! An 80's decade staple that takes me back to MTV, Atari, VCRs, records, cassette tapes, pay phones, legendary TV shows, big hair, bright clothes, playing outside, and the list goes on! Thank you!
Ssssssweet song!!!! luv it!!! Bring it on...🤗😎
Yes ,the best time ever 🙂
I'm a 70 year old woman and I so love you guys! You make me smile 😊❤
Tear for Fears is still a great group. Head over heels, everybody wants to rule the world, just to name a couple but I’m glad y’all reviewed this. I love how y’all just sat and let the song soak in and not stop every 10 seconds like a lot of people do. Great song and great review
Change, & Pale Shelter 💯. Also Mad World.
They did react to "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." 🙂
Omg head over heels!!!! Everybody wants to rule the world. YESSSSSSS 🙌🏽preach !!!
@dontneed we gotta get them into DEPECHE MODE !! #STRIPPED
Woman in Chains. Brilliant song!
This is one of my favorites. Everybody wants to Rule the World, my favorite song. The music is wonderful! One song runs into the next on the original album, these guys are real musicians. They have new music out now.😍
Another great choice fellas!. How about It's a Disco Night by the Isley brothers?!
Hey there, I'm a Battle too.
Do you have any relatives in Birmingham? Anyway, tell us more about their new music please, because I thought I heard a couple years back they retired. And yes, this entire album was amazing.
Yes, my fave! Cause everybody wants to rule the world!
"This chorus is legendary..." FACTS.
Tears for Fears has a song I think you'd really love, called: Woman in Chains. It's very powerful and sounds amazing! They're a really good band!
Absolutely agree!!
Thank you so much for reminding of this song!
One of my favourite songs. Powerful lyrics banging tune.
I came here and wanted to say the same thing. "Woman In Chains" was one of their best 'protest' songs and one of the first in memory to confront abuse of women. Give it a listen! (the guest appearance by Oleta Adams is both powerful and legendary).
Amazing song!! I love it!!
Those British boys were singing their hearts out!!
I've loved this song from the first time I heard it! The 80's!!! ❤
This entire album is AWESOME!!!
This song is so epic. It is the battle cry of young adult angst in the 80's. I remember buying a brand new CD stereo system in the early 90's and this is the first song I played, at full blast, just to break it in. Classic.
Well said....I related deeply to this song, and this band, as a 20-something, and still find it to be completely relevant.
We had a lot to be angsty about then....we do now, too, as older adults.
“Head Over Heels” is my favorite of theirs. “Mad World” is another that’s timely. 💜
Such a great song. Still love it after all these years.
Sigh….. another walk down memory lane for us 80’s kids
Shout,,,,,, are you talking to me?
Everybody Wants To Rule The World was another one of their great hits. Love the 80's bangers! 👍
Sowing the Seeds of Love and Head Over Heels are two of my favorites by Tears for Fears. Great band from back in the day.
Also check out their song, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World."
You both reacted to another song by Tears For Fears called Everybody Wants To Rule The World...Shout is from the same album....both are great great songs.
Please react to the song True by Spandau Ballet....another awesome song!
You guys are great..thank you for making so many people's days better!.
Bow wow wow next???? Fever
Songs From The Big Chair. Some of their best work!
@@lauramalek3128 Indeed...but I won't lie, Sowing The Seeds Of Love was about as great of a follow up album as you can ask for. They are a huge part of why the 80's tops all other decades in my opinion.
@@michellemccarthytager9457 I never knew she did a version of this song...that's so cool.
I have to disagree, True isn't a bad song but probably Spandaus weakest. Great band tho
Another absolutely awesome song by Tears For Fears is called Woman In Chains...so powerfully emotional.
Roland is such an expressive singer. It's hard not to feel exactly what he's singing while you listen.
Everybody Wants to Rule the World is a good one by them. I'm also reminded of a great song, No One is to Blame by Howard Jones.
I love the song, no one is to blame, as well. It's a great song.
YES! Howard Jones is the father of electronic music.
Omg... love Howard Jones!! My first cassettes as a kid were the Pointer Sisters and Howard Jones!!!
One of the biggest earworm songs of all time. That chorus will be in your head for the next 12 hours
Everybody Wants To Rule The World is one of Tears for Fears best songs imo
It's so great that you two can recognize which decade now. I remember back in the beginning when everything was unknown. :)
Fantastic!! Duran Duran is another great band to review too
That guitar solo is legit.
"Everybody Wants To Rule The World" Tears For Fears. Might be the best song of the 1980s
Ah, the anthems of my youth. This was HUGE when I was 16-17 years old. I wore this CD OUT. Check out some others from them - Everybody Wants to Rule the World was their first big hit, but there are fantastic lesser-known songs. Sowing the Seeds of Love, the Hurting, Mad World, Pale Shelter, Start of the Breakdown, Head over Heels.
Yyaaasss the 80’s. 70’s 80’s 90’s all good music!!!! Hope you guys are both doing well!!!
THE group of the '80's! Their stuff was everywhere!
The first Tears For Fears song remember hearing was "Pale Shelter." It's still my fav. Intense. I saw them live at a private event in Boston maybe 15 years ago, acoustic. So good.
Pale Shelter was just brilliant. Tops them all for me.
I love pale shelter
This group is still relevant even in today’s times. The just released their first LP
in 17 years and it’s doing quite well. They’re touring this summer! Sow some
seeds of love!🌻 ☮️ 🎶
Check out Seeds of Love, Woman in Chains and Everybody Wants to Rule the World. All great songs. Love these guys.
80’s music amazing….brings me back to those teenage years 🤫
Such a great song and you are correct this was in the 80s
Tears for Fears - 🔥"Head Over Heels"🔥
"sound like they from the 80s". My man, Tears for Fears might be the most iconic sound of the 80s.
You HAVE TO do tears for fears- “head over heels” it is a must! My favorite from them! This song was featured in Donnie Darko. It’s amazing !
Love this song!!!!!
They're coming out with a new album this year. Songs from the Big Chair came out when I was in high school. Still love them & their music! It's iconic ❤
I still have my copy of that album
New album is already out. The album and 1st single are called The Tipping Point.
Gen X felt this song so deeply. We were seeing all the injustice and hatred around us, in the world our grandparents and parent gave us, and we couldn't do more than just resist. This was an anthem for us. We endured to slow the horrible machine the world became. Then we raised our kids to start fighting back. Now YOUR generation is burning it all down to try to start a better world.
That's so real 💯
80's Music is timeless... Always on point ☝️ ... You guy's Look Great 😍
My favorite song of theirs. It was done with such passion. I love the band but that song, their best one.
Tears for Fears “Head Over Heels “ is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great song ….. next one everybody wants to rule the world 🌎 ♥️
Tears For Fears is one of my all time favorite groups! I’m even going to their concert this June! You guys definitely need to listen to more of their songs! The 80’s was THE best decade of music EVER hands down!!!!
YES! So excited for this one! Mad World is my favorite. This genre of music is what we called New Wave back in my day. 😂
I love watching your reactions, you guys are awesome!!! I am a hippie from the 60's and 70's and the fact that you open your minds to listen to older music is wonderful. Keep it up guys you're doing a great job!! Very handsome both of you and very entertaining, love you both
The 80s may have had questionable taste in fashion and hairstyles, but the music was undeniably righteous.
Some of those clothes and hairstyles are coming back. Maybe the music will too and make things fun for us older “teens” again
Back then we were sharp as hell. It was an awesome time to be a teen, then a young adult. If only we could turn back time.
@@lindarenee2198 I'd love to be 19 again. All that energy - and I felt great!
Head Over Heels is my favorite by them, but Everybody Wants To Rule the World is another really popular one. Tears For Fears is so good!
Thanks, Fred, for not disappointing me by reaching for your cell phone.
There's something about this song that appeals to everyone.
It's a mega hit! No matter what decade!
Nuff said.
One of my favorite 80's bands!! It's on my playlist!! So glad you guys liked it, great reaction, Tim & Fred!!! 😎👍🏼☮️❤️
Curt Smiths voice is so powerful, mixed with the synth and those lyrics! Magical
I remember getting this song stuck in my head and singing it all day long 😝.
"Broken/Head Over Heels" is a two-for-one banger, but this whole album SLAPS.
"Shout Shout let it all out"...Love this band from across the pond. #TearsForFears 80's!🤘🏾 Another cut by them is "Everybody Wants To Rule The World."
You guys should listen to everybody wants to rule the world by them.
I came to say this very thing!
The best song ever. If my life have a theamsong it will be that one.
They react to that song like a year ago.
@@msbrandymo That’s the jam.
@@sherrolpopoola6789 I prefer it to "Shout" . But I like "Shout" too.
@@msbrandymo me too.
They're still going. In their 60's now..another great song of theirs is Woman In Chains..Beautiful ❤
This is a song that makes a person feel heard, not invisible, like they really matter as they should to make a difference
I always know when Fred likes a song! He learns the hook on the spot. 😂 great reaction.
They’re actually on tour this summer. Still together or at least back together. They had a few good albums with an incredible range of stuff - some reminiscent of trippier Beatles’ stuff too. “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” is a must be them - many people consider it a “perfect” pop song.
A timeless song.
Disturbed did a cover of this song (quite well I might add) on their debut album The Sickness.
I love this one. You guys rock!
One of my favorite bands of all time. I suggest "Woman in Chains".
They also just released a new album in February. Their first in 17 years.
Nirvana…..Smells like Teen Spirit!!! Check it out.
So much passion in their performance of this song. Makes me want to shout and let it all out!
This song got me through graduate school! This is an eternal BANGER!
Nice to see you react to TFF - their new album is great but many serious fans will say Sowing The Seeds of Love one of their masterpiece songs. Layers and depth - brilliant.
These guys are immensely talented, and a high point of the eighties. Powerful and immersive. "Head Over Heels" is my pick: soaring and magnificent.
This song always gave me goosebumps back when it first came out, and it STILL does.
I feel every. dang. word. STILL.
Yes this is a classic 80's song. They have nice rich voices and the beat is great. Even us hip hop heads liked it.
Recently (3 years ago) i've seen Them live performing. I was really impressed by their voices. Must seen and hear.
Great song and great reaction Tim and Fred! I love the sound of Tears for Fears
ABOUT 🙌🏽 TIME!!!
You'll thank EVERYONE, who put you on.
Can’t wait to see them in concert in June!!!!! They are amazing. New album and on tour. Their music stands the rest of time and is very relevant today.
That one and Everyone Wants To Rule The World were their big hits. Timothy, I've said this many times before, you need to do more 60's, 70's and 80's hits. These are the songs/reactions that put you on the map, and gave you the success you are enjoying. There is a old country song with a title that applies to this. Dance With The One That Brought You. Phil Collins, Dolly Parton, Kelli Clarkson, and lets not forget President Obama, telling you to keep doing what you're doing. That's the road to 900K and that gold plaque. There, I said it. 🙏🎯😎
Classic 😊🎉❤
Their first record is heaven. You should really check out more songs. I love you guys so much.
80's Baby All Day!!!🎶🔥💖
Tears For Fears just released a new album, and they are as good as ever. The hits they had in the US are just the tip of the iceberg of their amazing body of work.
Great then. Still great now. And what they say makes alot of sense!
These guys recently sang this chorus and they still sound sooo good!
Always loved them. You have to hear "Everybody Wants To Rule The World"
I'm so proud of you guys. Have been here pretty much since the beginning and have watched you grow. I started watching when you guys were in your bedroom with a sheet hanging for a background. Keep it up guys, you deserve the following you have. Hope to see you reach 1 million.
Memory Lane totally!!!!! Love them!!! Yep the 80’s!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tears for Fears is so awesome(VERY Strong voices) I listen to them often(today as a matter of fact) Shout & their other songs to me is eerily (in a good way) prophetic(to me). It draws so many emotions & is also one of those songs that if you've had enough of something, you can express it in a positive way. The drum bass is crazy. They have So many hits. Their voices are just INCREDIBLE. Their music videos are ART. I hope to see them live one day. They are ahead of their time. Their latest project; song: Break the Man(again message within a message). I don't know if they are in the hall of Fame, they need to be.
Easily one of the best bands ever, and the solo in this song rips so hard....
Good to see you two! Looking good! ✌️♥️
Sowing the seeds of love
I LOVE Tears for Fears. They were an 80's group with a bunch of great songs. I remember all of them at the time. I was a little kid in the 80's.
“Songs from the Big Chair”, where this song is from, was one of my fave albums.
This group and their songs are so good. Never gets old
Just listened to the whole album "Songs from the Big Chair" for the first time the other day (I had heard a few singles from it, of course, but it was my first full listen). Hot dang! It was great! I'm pissed nobody told me to listen to the whole thing earlier!
"Head over Heels" "Mad World" "Pale Shelter"...all bangers. Facts.
80's... Kick ass time in music! MTV!
"Holding Back the Years" and "If You Don't Know Me By Now" by Simply Red
Sowing the Seeds of Love is a great one by them. They are on a huge tour this summer.
TEARS FOR FEARS!!! My first Live Band experience in 1985...Absolutely love Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. I still listen to them and they're still creating great music...Roland's guitar solo is EPIC!!!
Love that you chose a tears for fears song! ❤️ they matured from these 80s new wave songs, “Brian Wilson Said” beautiful later song of theirs!
Oh this song !! The 80’s did it ! Shout! Shout! Let it all out! Yessss!
This is one of my all-time favourites! I also highly recommend "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" and "Mad World"
