Well, one thing for sure that gen z and next generations can learn from Taylor Swift’s life lesson :
      1. From her songwriting (literature+poet+novelist+story teller)
      2. From business stand point (decison making+social media usage)
      3. Intellectual Ownership (Legal+contract)
It’s better to learn all those things from the real legend other than from cowards+haters+ignorants like y’all who only know how to bark on UA-cam, pathetic! At the end of the day, Taylor Swift doesn’t need validation from random cowards, ignorants and haters like y’all. Taylor Swift is still the greatest artists+songwriter+touring act on the planet. The problem is when 90% of the american students are taking this shit and the foreign students are taking computer science.
People don't understand the luck it takes to be born in the US where there is still opportunity and we are still the #1 superpower.. Give it another decade and these Chinese and Indian students are going to realize they get a far better education in their home country and by then their country will be more relevant economically than the western countries.
There are literally millions of super smart hard working Indians. the only reason they aren't living it up decadently living in townhomes in Cupertino and ordering doordash is that we still have the money in the US. Eventually our stupidity will crash the economy. And I can't think of a better way to ruin the next generation than by woke brainwashing that merrit doesn't matter more than esg/ dei objectives.

Then navigated my way through the healthcare field learning valuable skills such as emergency first response treatment, teaching CPR, giving IVs and EKGs, to adminstering immunizations such as Flu, Hep A/B, Anthrax, even Smallpox to 5 people. Eventually I went back to college for a degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology.

During my time of earning my degree, I took Rodeo (PE) and we actually rode bulls one day during class. Well, a couple of us did! I also took a history of rock and roll course. If it is an elective, I see nothing wrong with it. However, I would rather just take another math course instead of one about Taylor Swift! lol!

There is a lot you can learn from Taylor Swift the business. But I don't see how this random professor has any special insight. The Taylor Swift subreddit probably has more information because some of those fans are obsessive and they gather every little detail about her. It would be a different story if the class had guest lectures from Taylor or her managers and you get an inside peak on how the "Taylor Swift industry" is managed.

Lupe Fiasco already has a rap course at MIT, but from what I've seen, the curriculum is based on exercises, not just Lupe telling stories about his career. I know these guys are joking around, but I think Harvard could put together a great singing course with Taylor Swift. If you look at things like Masterclass, that's what classic academia like MIT and Harvard need to compete with these days, so it makes sense that they're bringing in celebrities to teach the subjects they excel in. I mean would you rather take the advice from someone who has been teaching for 15 years or who has been singing for 15 years and actually has experience from the industry? Christina Aguilera's Masterclass is really popular, so why wouldn't Harvard try to tap that market? Harvard has also let rapper IDK hold a free seminar on how to succeed in the music business a few years ago.

Sadly I think there is a point to saying it used to be all men. For example, John Mayer quit school bc he was already ready to be a professional musician. Women are interested in credentials so Joan Mayer likely would have taken a class like this and then settled into a corporate job that paid the same as someone who can fix your toilet with real skills. Then she would file HR complaints she is being overlooked for promotion bc of her gender.

ENGLISH 183TS - Taylor Swift and Her World
      Description
The first song on Taylor Swift's first record, released when she was 16, paid homage (by name) to a more established country artist. Today she's the most recognizable country-- or formerly country? or pop?-- artist in North America, if not the world: her songwriting takes in half a dozen genres, and her economic impact changes cities. We will move through Swift's own catalogue, including hits, deep cuts, outtakes, re-recordings, considering songwriting as its own art, distinct from poems recited or silently read. We will learn how to study fan culture, celebrity culture, adolescence, adulthood and appropriation; how to think about white texts, Southern texts, transatlantic texts, and queer subtexts. We will learn how to think about illicit affairs, and hoaxes, champagne problems and incomplete closure. We will look at her precursors, from Dolly Parton to the Border Ballads, and at work about her (such as the documentary "Miss Americana"). And we will read literary works important to her and works about song and performance, with novels, memoirs and poems by (among others) Willa Cather, James Weldon Johnson, Tracey Thorn, and William Wordsworth
