The beauty of the DA polisher is that there is less risk of damaging the surface. A drill attachment will not be random orbit and increases your risk of damage. So what's the alternative
That's not a bad headlight just needs attention. I normally remove the assembly and polish it with a buff that I use plastic polish on. I'm a jeweler so ive polished thousands of items. I also polish fairings and other plastics and don't often sand and do all the steps done but UA-camrs. I just get it done and move on.
Clear coat isn't meant for plastic, that's why this happens in the first place. A simple alternative is the Mequires headlight coating. The best option is a graphene ceramic coating.
@@yaranzo5pwns wrong, automakers dont use clear coat on their plastic headlights. The reason this happens in the first place is lack of adequate or lasting UV protection. I can't speak for everyone and their ability to lay a coat of paint but I sprayed mine 4 years ago with UV protectant clear and they've still looking great.
Pop the hood next time. No need to tape.
Are you ever going to tell us what pad because I need to know?
What speeds for each type of compound?

Is it possible to actually use a drill but change snd put a cushion to polish?

@Hector Cortez-aponte-cabrera why the fk you going to a 6? You never need to use a 6 on a polish EVER.
Spray some good quality clear now, and not out of a rattle can
