Hi u all. Love ur reaction as always. Here is the improv sence off this episode. The fish sence. The neck kiss was not in the script and Omar forgot his lines because off that
@@ItsJasonFrazer And if he had listened to you, the video clip wouldn’t have been leaked. ☺️ But instead Wilhelm helped August with the fee, like the noble person that he is. 😭💔
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Malin the bodyguard like,,, there's no way she doesn't know what's going on with wille and simon, she's just happy to let the gays live their lives
I believe they are not allowed to intervene with royals affairs. Basically they are there to guard them only and everything else they witness is confidential unless it directly involves something that could cause harm
I noticed how Wille looks down on Simon for 'dealing' drugs when he and his rich friends consumed them. The class divide and hypocrisy here is stark. It's why Simon says: are you kidding me and eventually cusses Wille out for being entitled and getting into trouble. It echoes what he said in their classroom in the 1st episode: welfare is 'scamming' in the poor = tax evasion or deduction for the rich.
Yes but Wille was given the drugs by August, he didn't go out to get them, he was drunk not in control of what he was doing, he was hurting and wanted to forget the pain he was feeling, yet Omar knew exactly what he was doing😓
@@maddalenaallegretta9885 true, Wille was grieving but Simon doesn't look down on him for his behaviour (apart from being frightened for him on the football field). Simon definitely should know better about the effect of his actions on others (seeing what it does to his dad). But in this instance, Wille has no leg to stand on, calling Simon out.
I feel so so bad when Wille sees the video. It was really his first gay experience, with someone he liked very much, and the intimate lovely experience was absolutely taken away from him. Along with everything that has been taken away from him - his brother, his privacy, his right to free speech, his right to come out - this had to be taken away too. :(
That moment when Wilhelm puts his arms around Simon from the back and Simon loses track of what he is saying is one of my favourite moments in this episode
What I love about this show is, that they are not creating this unnecessary and cliché drama to everything. For example: the cliché move to the whole Sara-august-Felice-situation would have been, that Felice gets mad at Sara for not telling her sooner, thinking she kissed august on purpose, hating for it etc. I love that they are going this route with everything! Less cliché and unnecessary drama - more realism and communication 👌🏻
or felice getting mad at willhelm for being gay and rejecting her, and ignoring him or something. Instead last episode she still talked to him. Or willhelm using felice as a beard, etc.
Lucia is like a Scandinavian tradition that you do around Christmas on December 13. You dress up as different “characters” but only one is the Lucia and then multiple “tärnor” and ”stjärngossar” and sometimes even pixies and gingerbread men. That’s why being a Lucia is such an honor. Then you walk in a line and sing christmas songs. You often do it in school and your parents come and watch. In older ages there is often a “party” too. Google if you want to know more ;)
Also I want to add that Lucia is said to be a saint that got killed for some reason I can’t remember, that’s where this comes from and also the reason for the white dresses, the red belts (= blood) and the candles. Even though I’m not a Christian myself it’s very cozy to watch this early in the morning on TV (always in a church). Schools does this aswell and probably some workplaces :) It started in Sweden and I’m pretty sure Norway, Denmark and Finland have this tradition aswell
I've watched young royals 4 times and even the little snippets of this episode make my heart race. I've literaly had to hug my pillow. Those poor guys, I love them so much!
About the intimacy.. the actors actually worked with a intimacy coordinator during the whole shooting of the season.. every morning they would do exercises together and the coordinator gave them tips to show that on screen
Having an Intimacy Coordinator was great but nothing would have been achieved if the amazing and scorching chemistry between the actors/characters hadn't been present 🔥
Can we appreciate Malin (one of the body guards) tho? She is a true gem. There is no way she didn't hear them through the door when she was standing right outside, and then they also went to Simon's house hahha
there's also no way she/the other bodyguard(i suppose they're taking rounds standing outside wille's room lol) didn't hear them coming back in the middle of the night because you know that even tho simon probably tried his best to keep quiet while sneaking in, it's hard to make someone who's high and/or drunk shut up especially when you're making them go through the acrobatics of climbing through a window AND undressing before getting into bed. and the walk in the woods?? they 100% noticed the kids' antics lmao. anyway Malin and her colleague know what's up and they're supportive (plus it's not like they can say or do anything about it really, they're just paid to make sure will doesn't come in harm's way)
She knows. She cares. She wakes/stops the boys from having morning sex because she wants Wilhelm on schedule and discreet. She’s setting them up for success.
I don’t think there is a way in which August can ever redeem himself especially after what he did by leaking that tape. He is a selfish privileged jerk with severe insecurity.
there’s an amazing interview of Malte Gardinger - August’s actor - and i do urge you to watch it. He’s such a cutie and he’s got an opinion on his character! Let’s all hope he’s got time to dwell into all the complex background of his personality - and eventually redeem himself (maybe season 3 or 4 😬)
I just love how they really depicted this class divide that would always be in their relationship. Even though Simone and Wille would both be thrown into the deep pond if their relationship becomes public, Wille would always be protected by the institution. But no one would protect Simone. I love how Simone realizes this, and continues to advocate for himself to Wille everytime to make sure someone protects him too.
This! But also I love that in the finale they completely flip that narrative because the "institution" doesn't actually protect Wille, just the reputation of the royal family, just his title as crown prince. Wille the young and scared 16-year old boy is abandoned by the people who were supposed to protect him: Erik, August, and his mom. In the end it is Simone who is able to protect himself by breaking up with Wille because he has an intact support network in his mom and friends who actually care about him.
From what i‘ve heard Edvin (Wille) wanted Omar (Simon) to name the fish after his band members. Omar didn‘t want to do it at first because he thought the other guys would be mad but when they shot the scene and they didn‘t really have names for the fish he just decided to change them up a bit, which is why he had trouble „remembering“ the names. So Olle stands for Omar, Oski stands for Oskar and Felle stands for Felix, the three members of FO&O.
olle stand for the other oscar ("olly") who left the band and omar didn't wanna do it because he thought the crew would realize what he was doing and scold him so edvin told him to just say something similar but otherwise yep finally accurate information about this scene.
August’s character is so layered, I personally hope for more of him in the next season. I wanna know more of his past. U can tell there are things we don’t know. 👀 Ik people hate him, but he has to be one of the most interesting characters I have seen in awhile.
THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one thinking like this haha I like August's character so much! He has many layers and I just can't completely hate him. Malte is a really good actor 👏
In the discussion in episode 3, while they were playing drinking games in the Society, they said that only oldest sons of noblemen who own land can be in the Society/brotherhood. They started showing off what everybody owns. It's why Nils isn't included I think because he's nouveau riche. This is why August doesn't want to sell off his assets, as his mum said, to pay for his fees. He needs the status that comes with owning land.
It's the Mum that's the real villain. The least she coulda done is married someone who knew how to make a profit off the land. Not a useless boy toy. Or maybe she coulda worked the land herself and skip the whole boy-toy misadventure. Hopefully, as crown prince, Wilhem raised a levy/tax against the land which August finds out later.
@@Stress-Free-K August's mum can't touch his property bc she inherited none of it. If you want to talk about evil mums, the queen takes the cake. Emotionally abusive af.
Simon’s mom is the only present parent with healthy boundaries. Simon’s father cares, but he is an addict. Wille’s parents neglect him both emotionally and also treat him like a baby prince which then causes all kinds of issues. He literally did not know that August’s father, his own uncle, committed suicide. At sixteen, he’s old enough to know every fact about the family and also about conduct that may impact him as he grows up, like all the ways the Royal Court deals with Erik’s stuff. Plus the queen is manipulative. Same is true for August. His mother is neglectful in every possible way considering her child’s education is on the line and considering his father orphaned him. Feliz’s mom is also an abusive piece of crap, who married a black man but chose to completely ignore what it would mean when raising a mixed race daughter- her child is never thin enough, pretty enough, or blonde enough. Feliz’s hair this season is a whole nod to upper crust racism. Literally just one normal parent in the whole group is Simon’s mom.
Lucia is like a Christmas tradition, December 13 you dress up in white dresses and sing Christmas songs and one girl is Lucia with candles on her head. This is a celebration of Saint Lucia.
@@CoreySchultz It's a Catholic tradition in Sweden, there's a legend that Saint Lucia was a child who help the children and this ceremony plays tribute to her, that's why they choose a girl to represent Lucia, it's like a prom queen but religous.
From cuteness to drama all in one episode, that's a lot to process not gonna lie. Thanks again for the great reaction. Netflix need to get a new series out ASAP!!
I fricking love your reactions to this series so so much!! Ok, first: you guys raised an incredibly interresting point about the brotherhood choosing not to help August with his tuition. That never even crossed my mind, but if they were true brothers they obviously should've offered to help/he should've been able to go to them in the first place. I think it really demonstrates how shallow and superficial the whole thing is, and how misleading it is to use the word brothers. And now I have to talk about August. Even though he himself gives a slightly different reason in episode 6, I actually think Jason was spot on with regards to his motivations here. August is going down and he's taking Wille with him. August has always been so incredibly concerned with his image. From throwing perfect parties to constantly working on his body, being obsessed with perfect grades, trying to charm just about everybody he meets (especially those in positions of power), he's constantly seeking that external validation. Now, he's been publicly dumped, had his financial situation exposed, and he's about to be kicked out of school only half a year away from graduation. In his mind he is losing everything he's ever worked for, and he might as well take Wille with him. I think every little thing we learn about August contributes to our ability to understand why he does what he does. His motivations are so well layered. To me, simply calling him a villain and leaving it at that feels like a reduction of the writers' achievements when it's obvious they have taken such great care to craft a fully fleshed out and complex human being. Malte Gårdinger who plays August used the word fragile to describe him in an interview, which I think is incredibly accurate. I see August as someone who builds himself and his image the same way a person builds a tower. He puts all his energy into it, and it's a tall tower with all the fancy finishes, but he has no foundation. And I also think it's incredibly fitting that at this moment, when he feels like it's all crashing down and he wants to take Wille down with him, he chooses to target Wille's image. Anyways i could talk about August for ages but im gonna stop there cause this is getting kinda long lol. I was really slow to comment this time, but best believe i have notifications turned on, and I'm hella excited to finally see your reactions to the last episode! (sidenote: someone else might've already said this but the girls were drinking from the shampoo bottle because it's a pretty easy way to sneak alcohol into the school. It was super common where I grew up in Norway too. Not that we lived at the school, but the girls would always fill up their perfume bottles before school trips etc. and it always tasted like soap for them too lol. YR gets another point for realism!)
Don't come for me, but I kinda feel sorry for August. He's in such internal pain the whole season if you think about it. It doesn't excuse his actions or behaviour, but its a reason, despite how dysfunctional it might seem. This show does a great job of showing that merit and money doesn't make you happy. My favorite Netflix-show of 2021 yet for sure! ❤️
There were a number of times where I was just mentally preparing myself for him to finally snap under all the pressure that he has on his shoulders. To breakdown, fall apart, or even go so far as to contemplate doing what his father had done. He is a pathetic, pitiful teenager that doesn't have anyone he can truly talk to or trust. None of that absolves him for the way he's acted or the things he's done, he should be held responsible for everything that has gone wrong because of him, but what he desperately needs is someone that actually genuinely cares for him. He needs therapy and a support network.
Honestly there is so much to unpack in these last two episodes and I’ll keep saying it…as much as we all want to throttle August, we have to give Malte snaps for how well he played him, for us all to dislike him as much as we do, waiting with bated breathe for the last episode reaction 🥰
edvin (wille) and omar (simon) worked with an intimacy coordinator to achieve all those intimate scenes, they also became best friends during the recordings so their connection can be seen through the screen, I love them so much!
fun fact:the whole scene in the nature was improvised, edvin(who plays wilhelm) and omar(simon) just made up the whole conversation and even the little kiss when they're walking is improvised
I feel like I've lost count at this point! I just keep telling myself it's only 6 episodes. However, I've watched it enough for it to qualify as watching a full 22 episode of season!
Even though the morning breath part is unpleasant for us..it is REAL,,and this in just one of many reasons why this show is special and so believable..we need a season 2..I need more of the brilliant acting.. 🙏
There are so many translation errors actually. Some more significant than others. The morning breath is also an oral sex joke, so I appreciate that they have no regrets about what had transpired and that they still banter.
The most important thing to say: usually if it's a glitter or shimmer shade, it's easier to apply eye shadow with fingers. Glitter gets caught in the brush.
The story of Lucia: St Lucia was a young Christian girl who was martyred, killed for her faith. The most common story told about St Lucia is that she would secretly bring food to the persecuted Christians in Rome, who lived in hiding in the catacombs under the city. She would wear candles on her head so she had both her hands free to carry things. Lucy means 'light' so this is a very appropriate name.
AHHHHH you should know the fish scene was also 100% improvised AND the fish names are omar (simon's actor)'s bandmates from fo&o!!!! oscar (oski), olly (olle) and felix (felle), it was actually edvin (wille's actor)'s idea!!!!
They aren’t the actual names as Omar thought that would end up on the cutting room floor, so he went with slightly different names starting with F, O and O.
I also really like how much the directing and writing team trusted the actors to improvise throughout. They would give them general directions of what had to be in the scene and then let them go. I think the huge amount of trust everyone in the production had in each other really comes across on the screen.
Lucia is a swedish tradition as well as Midsommar where one girl wears a crown of lights as in midsommar everyone wears crowns of flowers. We walk in a line with candles in our hands wearing those exact white dresses as in the show and sing songs special for this tradition
when Simon and Wilhelm argue, they translated Simon saying "this sucks", but in the Italian version he says "fuck you" and it sounds much more convincing with the disappointed face he's wearing!
I guess you guys have now seen episode 6 but I still don't want to spoil just in case.... can we just agree that we desperately need at least a season 2? I want a season 2,3,4..... this show just hits hard on so many levels and I want more. Love your reactions as always, especially Jason expecting everybody to end up dead lol...... love it
Well im swedish and Lucia is a swedish tradition that takes place on the 13th of december and its basically a train of people in white dresses and they sing christmas songs. Its celebrated in all ages and in kindergarden everyone can wear what they want but once you get older only one girl will get to be Lucia and be in the front of the train so its always a bit of tension between the girls before it gets chosen who is Lucia because alot of girls wants the role
There's acctually a quite interesting story behind Lucia about a girl and the red band around the waist symbolises her blod when she died (im pretty sure atleast, not 100% sure)
@@CoreySchultz Ikr it's such an honor to be Lucia, kinda sad tho that I have never seen a male Lucia but ig thats because that Lucia was a girl however I never got the chance to be Lucia at my school because we were way to many girls:(
I was just waiting to see how you reacted to the end of this episode! That was a very unexpected twist at the end. I will be very interested to see where the final episode of the season takes us.
As everyone has said this episode was a roller coaster full of emotions, but I can't stop thinking about their "first time": for both should be the happiest, exciting and special moment of their lives however they'll remember it as the moment the world crashed down on them. That sucks and made me feel veeery anxious (as Wilhelm in previous situations) 😟😟
The scene where they're in the bedroom and Wilhelm hugs Simon from behind was improvised, they're really good actors! That scene is probably my favorite, it's so cute!
I literally can't wait for your reaction to ep 6. I was sitting on the edge through the last half of this reaction and honestly,,, so good,,, so satisfying!
Love this reaction! Just to clarify a few things (I am Swedish). Sorry about the information dump... * Hillerska is a fictional school, but it is at least to some extent based on the two major boarding schools of Sweden - Lundsberg and Sigtuna. Actual Swedish prince Carl-Philip attended Lundsberg, as have several others from the Royal family since the founding of the school. * 1 British pound is about 11.80 Swedish kronor. The school fee of Lundsberg (meaning one of the schools Hillerska is based on) is about 300 000 SEK and at Sigtuna it is over 350 000 SEK, meaning that Hillerska probably cost about the same, meaning around 25 000-30 000 British pound per school year. It is not technically attending the school that cost money (as school has to be free according to Swedish law) but it is the boarding part that cost that much. While the other students most likely could get the money to cover August tuition fee, it is not really a reasonable amount for them to pay for someone else's tuition. * As boarding schools are typically located quite far from the major cities boarding is necessary in order to study there. It is never mentioned how far away Simon and Sarah lives from the school, but one can assume that they spend more that just a short time on the the bus/in the car in order to get to and from school. For the kids from wealthy families, their families would live even further away, either in the fancy parts of Stockholm, or on large properties in the countryside, meaning that their kids can't attend the school unless they live there. * As others have explained - Hillerska is a school for the rich, not just royals. As only the closest family gets royal titles, a whole school just for them wouldn't work. For example, today Sweden have a King and his wife, the Queen. They have three children, all of whom have royal title (prince/princess). However, only two of the three children's spouses have royal titles (the one not getting it is Christopher who married the youngest princess. The reason he didn't get it was because he didn't want to become a Swedish citizen (he is American) and also because he wanted to remain working in the private business sector.) However, their children have not gotten titles either, not because of their father, but because they are too far down in the order of succession. The children of the second child of the current King do have titles, but their children will most likely not get them (if they have children). * I also love how Wilhelm being gay is not portrayed as the problem in this, but rather the problem is about going public about dating someone before it gets serious. I think overall Sweden is quite a liberal country, both in the LGBTQ+ sense, but also in other aspects. It was actually announced just 8 days ago (on October 28, 2021) a clarification of the Swedish law that regulates our monarchy that there is nothing in it which hinders LGBTQ+ relationships in the royal family. (The headline was something like "Princess Estelle is free to marry whoever she wants". Princess Estelle is the oldest child of Crown Princess Viktoria, and Viktoria is next in line to the throne.) * The current King is married to Silvia (who was born in Germany and is not born into royalty) and together they have three children. Their oldest is Viktoria who married Daniel, a man she met when she hired him as her personal trainer. They officially dated for 5 years before they moved in together, and then for another 2 years before they got engaged. The second child was Prince Carl-Philip and he married Sofia. Sofia was known before dating the prince, not due to her being royalty but because of her being on the show Paradise Hotel. She officially dated the prince for 4 years before they were engaged. * The last child of the King is Princess Madeleine, who married Christopher. Christopher is the only spouse of the royal children who did not get a prince/princess title, as I mentioned above. They only dated for just under two years before they were engaged. Madeleine and Christopher lives in the US with their children, and the children do not have royal titles, so they will be just like everyone else (normal if you will). * Lucia is also called Saint Lucy in English. The day, December 13th, used to be the shortest day of the year (the day with the longest night) prior to calendar reforms. The date has remained the same also after the changes, and as has the celebration. It can be summarized as a celebration of the light, as a way to bring light into the darkest night, traditionally to keep the evil away as well as the darkness. The name Lucia is actually from the latin word Lux which means light. It is not known how long this day has been celebrated, but Lucia lived around the year 300, and it is believed that she has been celebrated in Italy and the Nordic countries since shortly after her death. The celebration is one of few that still resembles the old celebration, though of course some modernization has happened. And of course, like most traditional celebrations, once the official celebrations are over, the youth tend to meet up and have parties during the night.
Lucia is an old Christian tradition about the saint Lucia. She is celebrated on the 13 December every year which is the darkest day of the year in Sweden and the North and Lucia is wearing a crown with candles as it's a symbol of her goodness, to be someone that brings the light under the darkest of times. Lucia is the main attraction of this celebration but we also have many other Christmas characters that are joining her, like the three gingerbread men, the elves, maids and star boys all sing in choir with different christmas songs together.
18:01 You're right, the candles are scary! When I was Lucia the I got candle grease all over my hair and face when we were walking out. It was burning A LOT but I had to keep smiling and sing. 😬😂🕯🔥
sometimes i wanna rewatch YR but my best friends live in different cities, and that kinda makes me feel lonely LOL so i just jumped into your videos to watch along your reaction lol. I love the vibe.
When Simon and Wilhelm are in Simon's room and Simon names the three fish in the bowl you could take it as a reference to Omar's old band he used to be in. The fish are named Fille, Olle and Oski. Omar's old bandmates names are Felix, Oscar and Oscar (also called Ogge). I don't know if it is intentional or an accident, but I found it a bit funny that they chose names with the same first letters as his bandmates. Since Simon is there, the original four in the band are all represented. Omar's past as an singer also definitely shows in the series since Simon sings with the school choir several times. Felix is also known for his acting role in the Netflix series "Störst av allt", so Omar and Felix has several things in common since the band broke up. Simon is a kinder and way more loveable character than Sebastian in "Störst av allt" is though.
please react to Young Royals interviews at some point! the actors are so genuinely hilarious and kind and you can learn SO much more about the series from the interviews, stuff I wouldn't have even picked up on! p.s. amazing reactions as always, looking forward to the next ♥️
Corey, your pronunciation of Wille's name at 4:16 was just spot on! You sounded just like a real "Stockholmer" (a person that comes from Stockholm). I had to watch it several times because it was just so good - and funny! :)
The crown princess of Sweden (i believe) once answered a question publicy about homosexuality and she said that it wouldn't matter or effect who takes the crown.
Wee´ll.. can only say that you know you have a good actor when people starts to hate him.. Malte is doing SUCH a good job at portaying August(us) that people actually starts to "strongly dislike" him.... same as JOffrey in GoT :) Lets just hope that Malte dont get the same backlash in private as Jack Gleeson.. Btw, you are soo invested in thism happy to see it. (btw and so handsome both of you)
It was really sweet how you discussed putting on make up using the fingers. Tbh I only learnt it that way by my older sister. I never used those little brushes, it just seems so much easier with the fingers. Plus, you can use 10 different shades at once (one on each finger) and don't need to switch brush or anything
Lucia is a Swedish Christmas tradition that is celebrated at 13th of December here in Sweden. Young people dress up in specific costumes, usually in a white dress, and a Lucia (the one with the candle crown) is chosen usually by voting. The songs they sing are usually about Lucia and how she is a light bringer and also songs about Christmas. It's almost like Christmas Carol, but add some small rituals and costumes. It's very common for kids and teenage students to preform this at their school, but can also be preformed by adults. :)
Idk if y’all bring this up in the video because I’m not done watching it yet, but Lucia is basically a Swedish tradition where they sing “Sankta Lucia” in churches and schools. And they go and the person who walks first is the Lucia and she usually has candles on a crown ish. It’s so hard to explain because most people in Sweden grows up with it so we don’t find it weird lmao And I don’t really remember why we do it but it was someone named Lucia a long time ago and something happened to her and then this started like a memory of her. She died 13th December so that’s the Luciaday. But in the middle school ish people don’t have to be all white dressed because we can be gingerbreads, Santa and more. And of course if someone don’t celebrate this they don’t have to do it, they can just be there and chill haha. :)

I noticed how Wille looks down on Simon for 'dealing' drugs when he and his rich friends consumed them. The class divide and hypocrisy here is stark. It's why Simon says: are you kidding me and eventually cusses Wille out for being entitled and getting into trouble.
Or willhelm using felice as a beard, etc.
i think we all probably judged felice at the beginning, but now she is one of my favorites!
Google if you want to know more ;)
Ahhh thank you so much for explain this
Ahhh this makes so much more sense now. I love it. What a lovely Swedish Christmas tradition. 🥰 I like the pixies vibe 😊
Schools does this aswell and probably some workplaces :)
It started in Sweden and I’m pretty sure Norway, Denmark and Finland have this tradition aswell
@@sisterdiscomadeleine Thanks I didn’t have time to write everything and didn’t remember everything as well as you did :)
It’s not only a Swedish tradition we do it in Denmark to I don’t no if you do it in Norway so maybe it’s is just an Scandinavian tradition
This is actually the only episode Wilhelm and Simon were happy for most of the episode.
Yeah it was short lived
I've watched young royals 4 times and even the little snippets of this episode make my heart race. I've literaly had to hug my pillow. Those poor guys, I love them so much!
I love them too!
About the intimacy.. the actors actually worked with a intimacy coordinator during the whole shooting of the season.. every morning they would do exercises together and the coordinator gave them tips to show that on screen
Oh wow that’s really cool
Omg I feel like I need this in my normal day to day life 🤣 #SingleAF here 🤣
@@ItsJasonFrazer you and me both! Lol

Having an Intimacy Coordinator was great but nothing would have been achieved if the amazing and scorching chemistry between the actors/characters hadn't been present 🔥
I thought this was episode was an emotional rollercoaster and then episode 6 happened 😭
Omg right! E6 will be on Sunday
Haha… E6 hit us hard 😩
there's a sixth episode?!
Can we appreciate Malin (one of the body guards) tho? She is a true gem. There is no way she didn't hear them through the door when she was standing right outside, and then they also went to Simon's house hahha
there's also no way she/the other bodyguard(i suppose they're taking rounds standing outside wille's room lol) didn't hear them coming back in the middle of the night because you know that even tho simon probably tried his best to keep quiet while sneaking in, it's hard to make someone who's high and/or drunk shut up especially when you're making them go through the acrobatics of climbing through a window AND undressing before getting into bed.
and the walk in the woods?? they 100% noticed the kids' antics lmao. anyway Malin and her colleague know what's up and they're supportive (plus it's not like they can say or do anything about it really, they're just paid to make sure will doesn't come in harm's way)
@@iyawakarehen hahah yeess so true! love that tho. we stan the body guards 🙌🏽
She knows. She cares. She wakes/stops the boys from having morning sex because she wants Wilhelm on schedule and discreet. She’s setting them up for success.
Half episode was all that my heart wanted, the other half was just pain
The pain half was awful
Pure *pain*
Hahahaha I almost choked on my food when Jason suggested that Wilhelm would have August killed, did NOT see that one coming 😂
Hahahah
I don’t think there is a way in which August can ever redeem himself especially after what he did by leaking that tape. He is a selfish privileged jerk with severe insecurity.
Ohh I don’t think so either.. he is dead to us
He can never redeem himself. The character August is going to have a difficult life in Young Royals S2 and onwards.
@@ItsJasonFrazer no spoilers, but sadly not , wilhelm is gonna suffer sadly
there’s an amazing interview of Malte Gardinger - August’s actor - and i do urge you to watch it. He’s such a cutie and he’s got an opinion on his character!
Let’s all hope he’s got time to dwell into all the complex background of his personality - and eventually redeem himself (maybe season 3 or 4 😬)
@@agingwell3842 Who is the interview with!?
@@MeerAria oh thank you for the correction!! i didn‘t even know they originally had another member, i just saw it right now, that‘s so cool!
The chemistry is off the charts
Corey represents all the fandom when August published the video just wanting to slap him
Hahahah I mean where is the lie
In the discussion in episode 3, while they were playing drinking games in the Society, they said that only oldest sons of noblemen who own land can be in the Society/brotherhood. They started showing off what everybody owns. It's why Nils isn't included I think because he's nouveau riche. This is why August doesn't want to sell off his assets, as his mum said, to pay for his fees. He needs the status that comes with owning land.
Ohh that makes sense
I can tell that jason loves the plot while corey loves every interactions, chemistry, gestures, smiles, touch and everything about wilmon.
That’s basically us
See, now you know what unforgiveable thing august did, you'll love felice even more as she stands by wilhelm

Rewatching this by watching your reactions is so much fun. I can't believe how unsure of this show I was at first and how obsessed with it I am now😆
Lucia is like a Christmas tradition, December 13 you dress up in white dresses and sing Christmas songs and one girl is Lucia with candles on her head. This is a celebration of Saint Lucia.
That makes sense why there are Christmas trees 🙈
@@CoreySchultz It's a Catholic tradition in Sweden, there's a legend that Saint Lucia was a child who help the children and this ceremony plays tribute to her, that's why they choose a girl to represent Lucia, it's like a prom queen but religous.

The fishes is named after felix, Oscar and ogge and they were in Omar’s(simons) old band

I agree.
They were so sweet for most of the episode. Still loving Simon's mom. She knew what was going on and was down for Wilhelm being there.
edvin (wille) and omar (simon) worked with an intimacy coordinator to achieve all those intimate scenes, they also became best friends during the recordings so their connection can be seen through the screen, I love them so much!
fun fact:the whole scene in the nature was improvised, edvin(who plays wilhelm) and omar(simon) just made up the whole conversation and even the little kiss when they're walking is improvised
Thanks to this videos I’m rewatching the serie for the 15th time
Oh wow! Regina that’s impressive
There's a translation error though, Simon talked about his own bad breath, not Wilhelm's.
There are so many translation errors actually. Some more significant than others. The morning breath is also an oral sex joke, so I appreciate that they have no regrets about what had transpired and that they still banter.
their happiness at the beggining of the episode is just 😩😩😩
The most important thing to say: usually if it's a glitter or shimmer shade, it's easier to apply eye shadow with fingers. Glitter gets caught in the brush.
also fingers are easier to control and less of a pain to wash than brushes 🤷♀️
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALL WEEK! I love you guys🥰
Well I’m glad your here ☺️

Incredible how jason has good answers to every question that corey makes.
The story of Lucia:
St Lucia was a young Christian girl who was martyred, killed for her faith.
Ahhh
They aren’t the actual names as Omar thought that would end up on the cutting room floor, so he went with slightly different names starting with F, O and O.
I also really like how much the directing and writing team trusted the actors to improvise throughout. They would give them general directions of what had to be in the scene and then let them go. I think the huge amount of trust everyone in the production had in each other really comes across on the screen.
That’s really awesome! Wow.
The IC said today that they had rehersed the scene several times. Only the naming of the fishes was improvised
11:17 indeed. Edvin is an amazing actor!
Love your reactions as always, especially Jason expecting everybody to end up dead lol...... love it

The actor that plays Prince Wilhelm is Edvin Ryding and he has been acting since he was 5 years old and this is Omar Rudberg's debut

The fact that simons fishes are named after Omar's old band members is kinda cute :’)

Princess Estelle is the oldest child of Crown Princess Viktoria, and Viktoria is next in line to the throne.)
* The current King is married to Silvia (who was born in Germany and is not born into royalty) and together they have three children.
This episode is soooo good, a complete rollercoaster
It really was omg
Lucia is an old Christian tradition about the saint Lucia. She is celebrated on the 13 December every year which is the darkest day of the year in Sweden and the North and Lucia is wearing a crown with candles as it's a symbol of her goodness, to be someone that brings the light under the darkest of times. Lucia is the main attraction of this celebration but we also have many other Christmas characters that are joining her, like the three gingerbread men, the elves, maids and star boys all sing in choir with different christmas songs together.

Can we have shoutout for our respectful Prince Wilhelm for not actually touching Simon's body below face line when he was asleep? 💖
The scene where Simon tells Wille the names of his fish, that was all improv. And that makes it even better🤩🤩
Your pronounciations of the Swedish names are actually on point
Fun fact, the fishes are named after the members of Omars (Simons) old Boy Band. He said that in an interview in Swedish Radio
Corey, your pronunciation of Wille's name at 4:16 was just spot on! You sounded just like a real "Stockholmer" (a person that comes from Stockholm). I had to watch it several times because it was just so good - and funny! :)

It was really sweet how you discussed putting on make up using the fingers. Tbh I only learnt it that way by my older sister. I never used those little brushes, it just seems so much easier with the fingers. Plus, you can use 10 different shades at once (one on each finger) and don't need to switch brush or anything
19:39 yes, I agree with you guys.
I love seeing you guys react, cant wait for episode six 😄
Again, way out of date, but Edvin (Wilhelm) suggested they name the fish after Omar's band members from a few years ago.

It’s so hard to explain because most people in Sweden grows up with it so we don’t find it weird lmao
And I don’t really remember why we do it but it was someone named Lucia a long time ago and something happened to her and then this started like a memory of her. She died 13th December so that’s the Luciaday. But in the middle school ish people don’t have to be all white dressed because we can be gingerbreads, Santa and more. And of course if someone don’t celebrate this they don’t have to do it, they can just be there and chill haha. :)
this show put me into a depression. like it was so good i have no idea what to do with my life after watching it and am so sad about the ending!!
