I'm convinced that one day, God decided, let's put Beethoven and Shakespeare together and out popped Ian Anderson. Such a treat to watch you discover and appreciate this genius! May I recommend for future reactions: Minstrel in the Gallery, Stormwatch and Warchild. Cheers!
Really interesting combination of influences, between the church organ, the hard rock guitar and the crazy metal double drum pedal. The drums are one of the best example of metal drums within a folk album.
"There's a light in the house in the woods in the valley." Really paints a picture with words. I understand a Pibroch is some kind of Scottish war anthem. Not sure, just what I've heard.
Another older Tull song you might really enjoy, from the 2nd album "Stand Up" is *Nothing Is Easy*. What a great jazzy but also blues/rock romp. So much fun.
Alright! Another great Tull song - you got to read the lyrics on a lot of these. (When I was a kid I had no idea what this song was about) Great Reaction! Big Thumbs Up!!
I've been a Tull fan for years and just came upon a song I hadn't heard because it wasn't included in the Broadsword album. It's called "Overhang". The tune will haunt you, as so many other Tull songs can do.
"Too Old to Rock and Roll, Too Young to Die" is another brilliant Jethro Tull song to put on your radar. There's extra fairy dust in the live performances!
You're definitely on the right track with JT, doing some of their best albums so far. And A Passion Play is my favorite! It will blow you away! The title track off Songs from the Wood is very earthy Tull at his best, as well. I love the medieval European mood in his earlier works. 'Roots to Branches' is also great, but came later. It has more Mideastern and Asian elements than his previous albums. My favorite song on his list is Sossity You're a Woman.
Oh yes!!! So special! Perfect lineup! Did see them live (so blessed)! Conundrum not available elsewhere. Be prepared, even if you don't publish a reaction. You'll never be the same. "Now to lay to rest any ugly rumors that John Glascock is a kinky bastard and likes being thrashed severely across the bum ..."
You picked a great one my man. The Tull songs that best show off each member’s talents are simple remarkable examples of their collective prowess as a group. Don’t know if you’ve reacted to the song “My God,” from the Aqualung album, but it’s a fine example, along with the entire album “Minstrel In The Gallery.” 🔥🔥🔥Enjoying the channel. Regards
This is one of the all time talents in rock history. Sings, writes all music, lyrics, performs, flute, guitar, huge body of work. One of my top 5 all around talents. Great musicians. Not as good as YES but a close second.
Great song by Tull, the live version from "Live at Hammersmith 1984" which opened the live album is phenomenal. The studio album "Songs from the wood" that this is from is a great album, check out the title track "Songs from the wood" , "Velvet Green" & "The Whistler". Glad you're reacting to "A Passion Play" another great Tull album, Cheers '
If you would like to hear some more modern prog rock, I heard something new on another reaction video a while back that absolutely blew my mind. Well worth blowing your own mind and others. The song is "Escalator Shrine" by Riverside. Keep up the awesome work. Cheers Harro 😁🤘
I look forward to your reaction on Passion Play -- You have the appreciation of intricate nuances and progressive musical style that Ian was striving for in PP -- I think you will really enjoy it like I did -- Please dont exclude The Hare That Lost His Spectacles -- Its a strange little tale to be sure but it has a special place in my heart -- I would like to see if you come to the same conclusion that I did
You should've seen my reaction when I opened the album up and put the vinyl on the turntable when it was released back around 1977.
Musical genius by all members

Great Album- A unique artist with some different yet very good music.
Really interesting combination of influences, between the church organ, the hard rock guitar and the crazy metal double drum pedal. The drums are one of the best example of metal drums within a folk album.
This whole album is fantastic, one of my fave JT albums. Try the title track and "Pibroch [Cap in Hand]". Glad your enjoying this band so much.
"There's a light in the house in the woods in the valley." Really paints a picture with words. I understand a Pibroch is some kind of Scottish war anthem. Not sure, just what I've heard.
Awesome, so awesome. Thanks, Pope! Next, check out Tull's Minstrel in the Gallery!
Jethro Tull is one of my favourite bands! A sprinkle of fairy dust...so true! Teacher is another excellent song by them. Cheers
My favorite song from one of my favorite albums!
One of my top Tull songs on one of my top Tull albums
Happy Sunday Pope! Good day for some Tull. 🔈🔉🔊
Another older Tull song you might really enjoy, from the 2nd album "Stand Up" is *Nothing Is Easy*. What a great jazzy but also blues/rock romp. So much fun.
Lucky enough to have seen them a couple times. Amazing band in concert. Simply amazing.

I first heard that song on 20 Years of Jethro Tull cd. :)
A Passion Play is definitely my favorite Tull album. Looking forward to your reaction.
"Too Old to Rock and Roll, Too Young to Die" is another brilliant Jethro Tull song to put on your radar. There's extra fairy dust in the live performances!
Tull's worst 70's album!
@@Katehowe3010 I agree with you.👍
Another winner Pope
A tongue in cheek "naughty" song from JT, as is "Velvet Green" from the same album.

Sossity You're a Woman is great on a November night.
Saw them at the Albert Hall, London - wonderful
Great album!
yeeeee Tull is so great!!! Dark Ages!!
Don't miss Minstrel in the Gallery, another great Tull album
If you do any other Tull song think about doing live versions from Bursting Out. To me it is almost the perfect live album...
Yes please reaction from live bursting out, one brown mouse, skating away on the thin ice of the new day.
Oh yes!!! So special! Perfect lineup! Did see them live (so blessed)! Conundrum not available elsewhere. Be prepared, even if you don't publish a reaction. You'll never be the same.

my favorite albums with my heart songs are Stand Up , Benefit , Aqualung .
Nicely done Pope. Tulls best tour imo. Wore the album out.

Look closely. The album cover is a painting.
Look into the lyrics a little further.

Teacher or Witch`s Promise would be older Tull to check out.
Read somewhere that John Bonham said that Barrie Barlow was the best rock drummer to come out of England.
The medieval bard is at it again.
