The moment I think of as the most sublime concert experience of my life was at a Bela Fleck concert in Louisville KY, shortly after Charles Schultz (of "Peanuts" fame) died. For the encore, Bela Fleck sat on a stool and played the ENTIRE piano music for "Linus and Lucy" written by Vince Guaraldi, at probably 3/4 tempo. It was a heartbreakingly marvelous tribute to the cartoonist who brought so much joy to so many of us.
How can one man play the whole orchestra on the banjo? Only Bela Fleck! This is an amazing performance. Love it so much! Thank you so much for playing, Mr Bela Fleck....Bravo!
OMG! This recital was beyond magnificent; it was magical. Bela Fleck is a total master of the banjo and it is a privilege to watch and hear him master “Rhapsody In Blue.” Gershwin would be thrilled!
Incredible. Reminds me of an interview with Segovia where he described the guitar like having a whole symphony in one instrument. Bela Fleck is doing the same with a 5-string banjo!!

Me as well. He’s so impressive. I loved the interview. Seems like a brilliant, humble, thoughtful guy. Love this!

The Andres Segovia of the Banjo. Showing what an instrument is capable of.

Bela is one of the greatest musicians I’ve ever seen live and I’ve seen many of the greats. Especially when he plays solo it’s just jaw dropping.
That's nuts! Especially the polyphony under the melody!
Only been to one banjo concert in my life: Bela Fleck - about 25 years ago. Amazing then as well, although he had a band at the time.

Wonderful and amazing. Listening to this, one can never again think less of a banjo, never.
Saw Béla do this at Wolf trap, opening for Shakti. I'd just seen him a couple of months earlier touring As We Speak...
He's just an amazing musician.
