Great video and recommendations! I have a TX16S (based on your rec in this video) and can't get my MacBook air to discover it while in the simulator. Did you ever experience this? I'm connected from controller to laptop by high quality usb-c to usb-c
You will need to set up the sim as a model in the controller if you haven't already. Then Try connecting your controller first and make sure to select usb, then start the program. If you start the sim first you will have problems with the connection. I have to remember that every time. Hope this helps. 👍
Yes the port on the top is not for charging. It is for connection to a computer. It will allow you to use it as a controller with a sim or to view and add files to the installed SD card. Thanks for watching.
A couple questions for you; Can you buy the AeroflyRC9 control kit in the USA? If so, where? If not, how long does it take to come in from the EU? Also, are you using your simulator wireless or with a trainer cord? If wireless, what receiver are you using? The Spektrum AR7700 is no longer available. I’m using a Spektrum DX6e radio. Great video BTW!
Thank you so much!! You can order the kit with controller from the website, RC9 for PC with the controller. I just checked. I did not order mine but ordered from the App Store on my Mac so I didn’t have to wait for shipping. As for controller I’m using my Jumper T18 with a high quality but standard USBC cable plugged into my iMac. I believe it’s best to fly the sim with the controller your flying your planes with if you can. That way you also get used to the feel of your controller when you fly. There are adapters for different controllers available if needed. My cable is super long so I do. It need to be wireless. I hope this helps.
@@AlToneRC I assume it’s the Mac version since it came from the Apple App Store. I’ve downloaded it to both my iMac and MacBook Pro now and it still will not open. It just comes up with a pop up window asking to reopen with a comment box. They are both within the requirements of the iOS version 10.13.0 . I left a Comment in the pop up window. Maybe after the holidays I’ll get a reply. We’ll see. What iOS version are you running?
Sorry you're having such a tough time with it. I am running Ventura 13.4 and about to run another update. Try right clicking when you attempt to open the program clicking on the logo. Apple may be blocking the program at the start. From there you might be able to tell it to open anyway. I hope that works for you. Let me know.
So I need to ask a couple more questions. Can my Spectrum DX6e be used through a dongle from spectrum SPMWS2000 wirelessly? On controller do I need to create a Sim to run it through or just bind ? Thank you so much for the help
I may have responded from my other channel. lol. Hope you saw the response but I’m not sure how your specific radio will connect but it should work. Most spectrum radios will. But I did create a model specifically for the sim. It was just a basic model but I did have to play around a bit to get the controls and switches to work. Sorry I’m not more help. I will look for more UA-camrs using Areofly RC9 and share them in a post if I find others on a Mac using spectrum radios.
If you're speaking of a spectrum radio, many of them have a USB out that will allow you to use them. It will depend on the spacific model. I personally do not use spectrum radios as I believe they are limited and costly. On my Jumper T18 I have a usb-c port on the top that once I plug it in it asked me if I would like to use it as a joystick and I just make that selection, I have it set up in my similator so it recognizes the controller. I do plan to go to take a look at a few of the radio master controllers in 2024 and share my experience with them. Hope you will stick around f
I hear you. It does sound like fun If you want to play as a game and I would try it, I primarily want a sim I can use the same controller I’m using to fly my planes with. This version on my Mac allows me to do so and does a great job. My actual flying is much better than it would be practicing using any game controller.
This is version 10. store.steampowered.com/app/2394350/aerofly_RC_10__RC_Flight_Simulator/ But if you perfer to get the full version of 9 so you can play without connecting to steam here is the link . shop.ikarus.net/en/4-aeroflyrc9 Hope this helps 😎

Hey thanks for the video! So does your Jumper T18 comes with a USBC port that talks with the mac directly? thanks

I assume, the TX16s would be just as easy with the sim? @@AlToneRC

Will my Spectrum DX6E work with this program. I am using a Mac as well and can not use Realflight..Thanks
Oh no binding should be needed and least it wasn’t for me. Just connection to your Mac as a joystick.

I used a simulator to learn to fly helicopters and drones.
Cool, I now have this sim and the DRL Sim that I used to learn how to fly FPV drones.
