These pressure points or nerves junctions carry the energy flow throughout the body. When they are attacked, it disrupts the flow and short circuits the body for easy knockouts requiring less force.
In addition, Wing Chun Fist and Jeet Kune Do is an attacking defense art. Meaning, for every time Goliath thru a punch or kick, Bruce would attack from the defensive maneuver he would use. In doing so, it makes an opponent hesitate and rethink how attack Bruce allowing Bruce to continue his assault to its conclusion. That is why his fights never lasted long. Most of the time his opponents in real fights would walk away or submit in a few seconds.
Bruce learned Ju Jitsu from Wally Jay. Wally Jay said Bruce’s Ju Jitsu was so good he himself could not beat him. It’s doubtful Goliath could ever get close enough, and if he did, could ever get him down to the ground.
While the depiction of Bruce was indeed way too inaccurate and limited, the fight was actually pretty good. Seeing both of them apparently equal at 123 strikes landed during the third round was a wow moment.
