Funny you should mention the ’Blue Jacket'. I was researching an ancestor of mine who may have arrived in Melbourne on the clipper ship in May 1855, and shortly afterward he bobs up in newspaper reports from the Goldfields. The voyage out made the papers because it was only 68 days! Three years later he was taking over a pub in Adelaide, so he must have done alright ☺️
This is wonderful! I'm a descendant of the Timandra; specifically Josiah & Ann Flight. They had many children but my 3rd Great Grandmother was their daughter Anne Kelly (nee flight). She was British but her husband John was from the Isle of Man. If you have anymore information about the Timandra or know where I can find information I would love it. Also, they are all buried in New Plymouth. My Grandmother lived there her whole life.
would love to see your take on. 29 Jun 1845 Cape Palliser, Wairarapa Coast, New Zealand (Sinking of "Pickwick") my third great grandfather died on that ship.
Gidday there Brent, at the moment I'm in need of a digital detox mate. This hobby of mine is becoming a chore. I have about seven projects I'm working-on in varying stages of completion. After those and time off. I'm reassessing things. I do appreciate getting feedback mate. All the best. Paul
Thanks for the content, excellent narration
Thank YOU John
