HUGE Thanks to Robert from Dezerland for the incredible tour and letting me in early and taking time out of his day . On a side note , realized last night when I was editing this that I was there EXACTLY five years to the day of my Artegon meet up in the same mall . Bizarre
Dick Dean is my Dad, it’s great to see him getting credit 34:46 for his work with Barris and Dean Jeffries. My brother now carries on the tradition and has built many recreations of movie and TV cars. This was a great surprise to hear Robert mention him in your video.
That’s bad ass. I was just about to look him up to see some more of his work after this video was done. Must have been neat growing up around such bad-assery.
@@agoodballet It was a very Kool thing to be apart of, my Brother “Kid Dean” still does it now. His shop is called South End Kustom. My Dad was known as the “Ghost Builder” because he did the work, but never wanted the credit.
I'm lucky enough to own a car built by your father and Dean Jeffries for the 1975 film Death Race 2000 (the Bull Car). I wish I wasn't so far away from Keith's shop, I'd love to have him help restore it.
@@MrWoodstock94 That’s Amazing! You have a great peace of movie car history. I remember my Dad building those cars and my brother making the tommy guns and huge knife for the Machine Gun car.
Robert sure is a character, in a good way that is. Perfect person for the job he does. Also his father sounded like he was a very interesting man himself.
Robert is a true Treasure. He needs to do a blog and get all that knowledge out there for future generations, if not, Adam needs to go back and make a series of more videos of Dezerland with Robert.
Another incredible video. So awesome that you were able to get in there and get a personal tour with Robert, before anyone else was in there. I was hooked and reeled in so you had my attention during the entire video. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'm grateful that there are wealthy folks out there who do stuff like this so that history can be saved and be well taken care of so that they last as long as possible, allowing all to see them and appreciate their sentimental and historical value.
Awesome video! Robert is amazing! We were so fortunate to run into him. My son and I went to Dezerland a few months ago. We were in the Batman exhibit and we randomly started talking to him. Robert is a wealth of knowledge that is truly impressive. He even pointed out the movie posters on the wall that were remade incorrectly lol. He also told us the impressive detailed history of Mr Dezer. You can tell when a person loves what they do at their job. Hope they are taking very good care of him.
That was great having a private tour! My brother had Joey fatone's Knight Rider car in his garage for a few years but Joey picked it up this year when he sold his house and fixed it up to put in car shows again. It only needed a few little things like a new battery.
Used to work with Robert at Islands of adventure in the grand opening early days of the The Flying Unicorn Roller Coaster. (Now the Hippogriff/ Potter coaster) Good dude. Then later in life gave my wife and I a comprehensive lights on tour of Skull Kingdom back in it's final days.... Good to see he's still just as quirky and trivia filled as ever! (Had a lot more hair back in the day though) lol! Good Video Adam- Happy New Year!
Robert's father was the sound editor for a LOT of great movies such as Wayne's World 2, Kalifornia, The People Under the Stairs, Friday the 13th Part 8, Bill and Ted's, They Live, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High just to name a few.
Cool tour I was there last week and had the same tour guide for a private company party. He let me sit in the Terminator car. The go karts are a must if anyone that hasn't been.
What an amazing collection!! I especially love anything that has to do with James Bond!! The cool cars and the gagets are awesome!! Sean Connery will always be my favorite 007!! Thanks Adam!!!
One of your best videos yet. Loved all the cars and Robert's knowledge and history of them. Robert is a striking resemblance to "Mr. Six" from the Six Flags commercials.
Great video! This museum combines two of my passions: movies and cars. Can’t get enough of them :) I’ll be visiting it some day in the future, for sure. Thank you (and Robert).
That was a blast, Adam, and Robert! It's one of your best videos yet. this content is what I enjoy your style and tourist-type perspective videos. it was great to have Robert a fan of your vlog with you and his excitement about working with you. please return and show us more.
I am the owner of the company who built Joey Fatone's KITT car, as well as restoring an original KITT car used in the series, which is now over in the U.K. I have reached out to Dezerland multiple times to keep up his Knight Rider cars, and/or to get the dashboards working again, as well as repainting any of his cars in his collection, as we are a custom painting company who specialize in fiberglass fabrication for the theme parks and major hotels. But I have never heard back from Dezerland about any of my inquiries...
Bruce does a fantastic job building Time Machines! There are a few people out there who build them for a living and he would be my go to if you needed one. Or you can just rent one through us since we have them Nationwide! Great video, a lot of impressive vehicles there.
Great video! Enjoyed this a whole lot. Robert has a TON of knowledge. Would be great to spend the day with him in the museum! He reminds me of the dancing guy in the Six Flags commercials back in the 80's. Love this content Adam!
Absolutely incredible!!! A tour of tours . . .. Years ago when I was a kid I saw a Bond Aston Martin DB5 like the one in Goldfinger at the World's Fair in NYC and again in my home town when a politician was running for Governor. The car was used as a draw for the crowd. I can't recall how many of those DB5 Bond cars were around back then but the ones I saw had the same features as the one in the movie. Thanks for taking the time to do this video.
Wow what a vlog, Robert’s knowledge & enthusiasm is brilliant. Planning our next holiday for sometime in 2023 & Dezerland is on our must do list. Thanks for sharing Adam so excited for your 2022 vlogs.
HEY ATW...YOW! THIS HAS TO BE ON MY "BEST EVER" VLOG designation lists! There are only 5 and, of course, they are from TheDailyWoo! The Bond collection blew my mind! Your Terminator impersonation was hilarious! I'm going to have to watch this at least ten times just to get every detail on the vehicles! Thanks ATW for your hard work on this one! I have learned much, young one!
So much fun. Love this video and love this place. We got lucky, when we were down there in September Robert showed us around too, he definitely adds to the experience, so much knowledge and so entertaining.
We were there the next day. Loved the exhibits. Very diverse. Robert mentioned he took you for a visit tour when we discussed our favorite creators. :)
I loved that! Thanks to Robert for all that information about the cars. I'll be sure to visit next time I'm over in Orlando as I love cars (and movies!)
Very cool looking place. We make a few road trips to Orlando from Ohio each year. This place is definitely on my to do list on one of our next road trips.
10/10 vlog, really interesting subject matter, really enjoyed Robert's enthusiasm and of course yourself Adam. If I am ever in Florida I would visit here for sure!
What an awesome video! Hopefully they take the time before they make the placards to correct the mistakes (Audrey, not Kathryn Hepburn in Roman Holiday, Janet, not Micheal Jakckson, Rhythm Nation, etc.) but Adam, it was really cool to see you back to doing these videos.
This tour-ator is such a nerd, i so love him lol if he ever does a vlog, i sure will subscribe, especially if he tells stories like this!! What an impresssive collection wow.. i remember ALL Bond props he showed... gosh i'm old lol Really loved this video Adam, thank you!
Very cool tour!!!! It is wonderful the respect you have earned from owners like this man who has a great James Bond collection. Thank you for the tour.
Robert is Amazing! I can’t wait to get down there and see that James Bond collection! Crazy! Btw the Stallone film you were wondering about is titled “Nighthawks”, from 1981. And as always thanks for such fascinating videos! 🙂👍🏻
29:31 Robert Sandler, thank you for this! I just learned some detail I DID NOT Know about that A-team van, and I MISSED those loops when I investigated this van at Dezer Miami in December 2013!!! Nicely done!
You were there a few times before if I remember correctly. I think you went by before they opened to look through the windows before any cars were there. Very cool!
Thanks for posting this. You seem to find all the Awesome places to vlog. Keep up the good work and please dont fall off your new woo-scooter! safe travels.
Adam Thank you for streaming A Lot of information and very informative. Wow Robert has sooo much Knowledge. I had to watch a little at a time to absorb all that he was saying. Thank You👋👋👋👋
I remember your vlog on the last tour of Dezerland. Again a great vlog Mr. Adam... movie and tv cars and other things. I love "Duke Of Hazard". Be safe and well. Have a Merry Christmas with your family.
This is such an epic video and the fact that Robert is a huge fan of yours and he's so knowledgeable just by even working here for just a year amazing! This video is worth a download and to go to this museum is priceless! We are planning a winter probably January visit to the wizarding world of Harry Potter and I'm going to be putting this on my list as well! Thank you so very much Adam what a beautiful beautiful gift you've given us! Merry Christmas to you and yours and your family this holiday season!
Please keep us informed on Robert's channel. A real gem. I hope you find more people with his love and enthusiasm for relics of the Americana past in your future adventures. Drooling over the Bond cars, especially the Toyota 2000 GT! That’s an incredibly rare car! Wish I could have seen that last time…
Who is dude? And how did he get all these wonderful toys... Low-key
That really was something. Thank you Adam and Robert. Superb!
These are bonus videos. Thank you and merry Christmas!
Adam is so much in his element here. Especially doing his Arnold impression while wearing the Terminator mask in the hearse.
