      I literally saw people roll their eyes at lash combs because "why would you get it that clumpy in the first place?" 🤨🤨🤨 I luckily just don't use that much mascara and the formula is thin and the applicator is stuff enough that it kinda combs them for me, but with my old mascara, I really needed a lash comb 😭

      My friends used to laugh at me in the late 1970s because I had very long thick lashes, not all the products we have today and most mascaras would clump my lashes. So, I would use a large safety pin to put thru the lashes to separate my clumps! Of course it was dangerous and I totally stopped doing it once some better mascaras came out in early 80s. However, I have recently been seeing these lash combs but never figured I needed one. After seeing this I’ll be buying one today!

You could repeat it as many times as you wanted, and each time the lashes would get thicker AND longer because of the fibers. It was like fake flashes in a tube. It had a comb to brush through after that process, and then a clear gel you put on afterwards to make sure everything stayed in place. It was magic. I don’t remember the brand though 😅

    I do something like this, but I use an electronic hand fan to "cure" my lashes in place before each new coat. I comb out the excess, then use my finger underneath the hold them in place while the mascara dries with the fan. It's like setting it. I have very heavy lashes and they will just fall and lay down straight if I don't do this. Really opens up the eyes, too.

    • @brightsalot
      @brightsalot 7 місяців тому

      This makes a lot of sense. I usually do a first coat and let it only halfway dry before applying the second coat for a thicker effect, yet the shape/height is still malleable at that point. Come to think of it, my best results happen while applying mascara in the car (not actively driving of course!), and it’s probably bc most of the time I’ll have the fan or air conditioning blasting at me. (Living in a hot desert climate with extended summers be like 🥵🪭)

    I can do that with Maybeline mascara…. but this is pretty too. And folks, you don’t need a lash comb … a certain type toothbrush works as well and, with practice, you can easily learn to use your mascara wand to separate your lashes. I worked as a media mu
    artist for many years and I did really great work… I’m not just blowing it outta my arse.
