A very good interview. I've heard of Mitch before.
Regarding the issue of money and that it is somehow dirty comes from an interpretation of the Christian thought complex. We all remember the quote that it is easier for a camel to pass through a needles eye, than a rich man to approach Heaven. My view upon this was clarified through the Seth material, where Seth in many an instance talks about abundance and our right to abundance as human beings. That a flower doesn't worry about whether it deserves the sunshine that is bestowed upon it, but that it considers the light as a innate right of every living being. Abundance belongs to us all - no matter in which form it comes.

I was taught at school that "the eye of the needle" referred to a narrow gate in the wall of Jerusalem, hence a witty analogy from the worldly but devout Nazarene. Still, I do think greed has gone into overdrive since then, largely as a compensation for the loss of faith since the advent of so-called "rationalism". 🤔

One has to realise that at every moment they are manifesting. If you are in a state of suffering, of course it will not be possible to just switch emotions at will. The reason is, let’s say, you are experiencing betrayal. You first need to accept that this is, on another level, a feeling you chose to have. The person that then betrayed you, would have to be completely forgiven for they were in that role to give you the experience. The ego is very obstinate. It will be very fearful as it will tell you, who are you if you don’t have your story. Don’t be afraid to face your shadow. Don’t be afraid to take full accountability for every experience- that you are just an avatar here. May you all be blessed with Joy.

Mitch, you ask rhetorically "Why would anyone come back?" Well, I can say that in my case, I have kept "coming back" for more than 40 years. And the reason that I have kept coming back is that I have experienced a few outstanding experiences over the years, but I have never been able to say I have mastered the technique. I've even written my own book on what seems to have worked for me. However, my remarkable experiences of manifestation have occurred sometimes many years apart. So, I have kept returning with the belief that there is some missing piece of the puzzle that I haven't yet discovered or understood. I don't have a limousine, not even a used car. I even had to leave the United States because I could no longer afford to continue living in my home country. Moreover, I have even ordered your book in the hope that you might provide me with that one missing key that will help me to manifest spectacularly on a regular basis.

I love Neville Goddard- to me he is the top dog in New Thought and manifesting theory. I agree with Mitch here that Neville's ideas do need work and explication in order for us latter day folks to be able to fully implement. I take issue with Neville on his thinking that the events described in the Bible are wholly allegorical, that Moses and Jesus never existed etc. His system is NOT just play acting until your dream comes true- it is something much deeper. I also note how obscure he has been- I bounced around occult issues rather deeply for over 30 years and I NEVER heard of Neville until UA-cam came along, around 2010 or so.

Commentary Carlos Castaneda: tbh in occultism its not uncommon for the mystical and the literary to mix. Perhaps his story is a "half truth" which to many might be a full lie but that half truth may have been a vehicle for his continued public teaching (his books). In order to keep much private it is half veiled.

In tracking down the true identity of Abdullah, I’m sure Mitch must have tried the Morgenthau family because Neville Goddard in a talk said that in 1933 he would meet Abdullah in his home on 72nd Street owned by Henry Morgenthau Sr. and that the first floor was rented out by Morgenthau Sr. to Abdullah. The Morgenthau rental records if they exist is where a sleuth would be heading. Here’s the reference audio section on Abdullah by Neville Goddard...

@@marsmotion we only have free will to choose a state of consciousness. When we choose a state, or assume a state of being in consciousness ever our future is instantly rewritten based on the present moment state of assumption. Our destiny is constantly changing to match our state of consciousness at every given moment, including the moment of our death(which in this case is always preordained based on our state of being in consciousness at every given moment, and changes accordingly). Also, satan or the devil when translated more accurately means adversary or opposer.. fear and doubt are literally the devil by definition because they both oppose faith in God(jesus christ within each of us, our imagination, the divine body of man). So if we fear and doubt that our desire already exists and will be successfully objectified into our 3d world, then we are not being faithful to the god within us and we are therefore not persisting in the assumption of our wish fulfilled.

I may have misunderstood the point he was making, but I disagree with the New Thought “standing still” commentary. Perhaps he means a lot of the discussion/literature around it still feels rooted in another time, but at its core, the idea that reality is your mind expressed means it certainly is not standing still unless the individual mind/creator, (each of us) is standing still. The principle remains the same but the experience of it moves at the pace of the individual. Religions continue to reframe their teachings (particularly when it comes to morality) to remain at least somewhat compatible with the pace of cultural change. That’s always been. The principle of “your mind/imagination creates the reality you experience” doesn’t need to change. The minds creating will continue to lift-off their next imaginings from where they stand.
That said, of the assortment of teachers speaking on manifestation/law of attraction/reality is creation of your mind, Goddard along with Abraham Hicks have been the most influential on me. They speak on this topic using different language/concepts but they pair well together, and one might connect some additional dots that enhance their experience with reality creation. Lastly, UA-camrs Edward Art and Be Something Wonderful are wonderful at synthesizing/expressing Goddard’s and others’ teachings on these topics for a modern audience.

Thanks for clarifying my criticism of Neville, I myself alongside many others have developed a lot of resistance towards Neville's methodology due to the rise of all the get Rich quick and you are God of everything around you coaches that really began popping up everywhere after 2020 using Neville's name to sell courses. This phenomenon has been causing serious problems for many people and so many are gaslighted into oblivion due to simple questions asked of these coaches and their cult followers. Tap on a clip to paste it in the text box.Welcome to Gboard clipboard, any text you copy will be saved here. That being said Neville may have been on to something yet I feel his ideas should have been made far more practical for people something Neville never seemed to do and I understand why so many people now after going through the scam coach craze disregard him altogether. I feel a more balanced approach is needed though and although I'm returning to the more practical in my mind practice of ritual mainly from a self actualizing LHP perspective I don't completely disregard Neville as simply some charlatan, I just feel his methods alone are not realistic for everyone and his legacy has been seriously abused by grifters. Thanks again for the video as it did get me thinking.

All matter is created by the creator contemplating its existence at more than 12,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times per second. And that is a real number -12 sextillion. To fully comprehend the situation and God being within it is best to start small and then expand on the concept.
Matter itself is made from oscillating photon of light being contemplated in ever more elaborate and complex geometric patterns. We have all completed connect the dot books and puzzles as kids. The FLOWER OF LIFE pattern -- Look it up. Is where it all begins. When you stare it is you can make out all the Platonic Solids, geometric shapes and so can the creator. As the shapes and molecules became ever more complex completing all of the elements on the periodic table then came the creation of plants then basic life forms.
Imagine the most advanced life form in the entire universe were just tiny gnat fruit flies. They have needs to exist in the physical realm including food, water and they need to mate. These micro tiny animals with their micro tiny desires and intentions, still have an impact on the entire physical realm. When they need something badly to survive the entire universe conspires to bring it to them because not only is god within them.. God IS them.
As more complex life forms have evolved so have their needs and desires. For a human.... The desire/need for food may come in the form of a job. And the desire/need for a mate may come in the form of a new car. You may think that human made products have no spiritual aspect but absolutely everything does including the most ridiculous consumer products. When contemplating God being within you, many people see it as blasphemy or arrogant and outrageous, but Neville Goddard handled this brilliantly in quoting Jesus. "My father and I are one but my father is greater".
And in many teaching traditions humans are equated to being leaves on a tree that live and die, come and go. The leaf is "of" the tree and is part of the tree but you would never presume the leaves "ARE" the tree. The tree and the leaves are one but the tree is greater.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about “new thought”, Norman Vincent Peale and Donald Trump. When esoteric power serves the shadow.

Esoteric power is always serving the shadow. Thats not "bad". Whats wrong with desiring a state, any state? The problem is we come up with morals as a means of restriction and not as a guide. For example, whats the difference is being told "you can't have sex or else you'll go to hell" and being told "have sex if you want, but think about why you want it"? The difference is freedom to choose. When there is an illusion of no choice, then breaking a taboo feels rebellious and spawns a whole bunch of bad behaviors as a consequence.

I stopped listening to the video within the first few minutes, knowing it's centering upon teachings that say "everything we experience is a projection of our own thoughts sent out to the universe." A rather simplistic, naive approach to life that really causes a lot of suffering by blaming people for everything. I have nothing against positive thinking (Carnegie and Peale wrote excellent books in this regard), which is one of the keys for warding off negative forces. Neville Goddard, from what I know about him, didn't address the issue of negative entity influence. He believed people control everything around them with their own thoughts, not taking into consideration the forces--both negative and positive--around us influencing our choices and material reality. Interestingly, Goddard didn't believe people can extend their lifetimes (preordained to him) and left the world at the relatively young age of 67.

Neville believed that every time somebody makes a new assumption of a wish fulfilled(assuming the state as he called it) that from that moment onward their destiny was instantly recreated to include their desire objectively manifesting into their world. This would imply that he also believed the same thing with peoples time of death( that every assumption we make alters our future including our time of death, so therefore preordained based on the destiny we are creating for ourselves at any given moment).
Also, I have personally put Neville's teachings to the test for myself and they have proved to be correct and true enough to get accurate and reliable results. I suggest you check out the UA-cam channels Plutos Gate, as well as Sammy Ingramm. They talk about and teach Nevilles belief in 'everyone is you pushed out'. I have successfully changed things about other people in my reality and manifested for others both by changing my internal dialogue with them as well as changing my assumptions about them. Everyone in your reality is literally a reflection of your subconscious beliefs/assumptions/and expectations. Yet we also have a so called objectively shared reality where all of our individual realities are overlayed together, it is very strange but some version of poly-solipsism that isn't often discussed anywhere.
You can change other people in your world and you are literally the prime creative power of your own world. Put his teachings to the test and you will prove it to yourself.

@@infinitecorridors4637 There are millions of success stories in world. I'm also sure millions of people bought "The Secret" and applied all the principles as much fervor as you did and walk away with little to show for it, and they of course assume something was lacking in them. The point I'm making is that it's like psychic healing, it works for some and not for others. It doesn't mean the person who doesn't see results is doing anything wrong. There are other forces at work that most people aren't aware of. I'm not here to convince you that LOA is oversimplified and applied too universally. The New Age community is completely sold on that idea. Whatever works. I literally see other supernatural agencies working all the time. I'm happy for whatever success you've achieved through Neville's work, keep it up if it continues to work for you. I've given up self-help programs years ago and use my own strategy for dealing with life. Reducing entity influence is effective for me when I'm careful about inviting someone in my circle. I have all I need materially and most of the time I'm at peace unless I violate my association rule. That's why we have to choose prudently. It would surprise you know how vulnerable the brain is to telepathy from other dimensions. Materialists and New Agers walk around in complete unawareness to put it bluntly. "You take the red pill-you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."
