I did the same mod to my truck but I put the intake air for the compressor into a pipe and connected the pipe to the intake manifold of my truck, so it gets filtered air from the trucks air filter and it gets boost pressure when the turbo is under load, which will make charge air faster if it calls for air while the truck is under load.
i didnt believe it until i checked your channel and found it. great ingenuity

There is no part 2 and 3, yet. I changed trucks and life got in the way for a bit. I plan on mounting it on my truck this summer.

Came across this when searching for using an AC compressor for an air compressor. Just wondering what happened to the other parts or did it not work well enough for you?
I ended up switching trucks before I was able to finish this project. I always had intentions of installing it on the current truck, just never got around to it.

Yeah, you could just run a hose over to somewhere after the vehicle air filter, and return the one you bought. The car already has an air filter. Why do you want to add another one?
You do not want to do that. If you suck air from behind your engine air filter, you will cause a vacuum between your air intake manifold and your compressor air intake. This will starve your engine of air and will make it run like poop, or stall
Do you use an oiler in the air feed or do you run it dry?
Neither. It's been rebuilt / redesigned to run packed with grease. It's an Extreme Outback unit.
How often must you grease the pump
route the intake of the pump to your PCV, but youll no longer have the valve in your intake and youll still need a vented source like a catch can for when the compressor isnt running or is pulling too much air. In theory your PCV oil filled moisture will lubricate the compressor
Do you need a air dryer for this type of unit ?
Wouldn't be a bad idea, but not required.

@@1D10CRACY Surprise suprise no part 2. It's been 2020 for a while now and alot of people have subscribed specifically for part 2. You might as well delete the video if you never intended to finish the project.
