Pad kaprao literally means "fried holy-basil" so obviously you should exclusively use kaprao (holy-basil), not horapha (Thai basil) or it would be pad horapha. They´re very different flavours so you can´t really substitute one with the other (or especially with western basil).
you'd be surprised😂 I saw a vlog about this from a food content creator while I was looking up the difference of these two. . . Apparently the author had been using thai basil for the pad kra pao they had been making mind you their site listed several. several multiple thai food related articles so you'd think they would know. They wrote the article after realizing they actually needed to use holy basil to justify the recipe name.
Unfortunately we don't use holy basil here in India with non vegetarian food since we use it in prayers....Thai basil it is 😊 This looks so good and simple. Going to make this soon
Sauteed giniling with raisins & fried saba banana with scrambled egg strips as toppings on rice is enough for me, Arroz ala Cubana. Not a fan of spicy and too much sauces.
Are this all the time when I was training Muay Thai in Thailand. Easily my favourite dish.
