I agree with the other ladies about your nails. Gel or acrylic nails damage your nails no matter how they are removed. They prevent oxygen and natural oils from getting to your nail. Keep your nails short and put the oil on them. Mine were tender for about a week after having the artificial nails removed. Unfortunately, this is the price we pay for having perfect nails. I’m sorry that you had to go through this. I really enjoy your projects. You inspire me to expand my paper crafting. All the best, Brenda

Just agreeing... when you have artificial nails your own nails get very thin as they are not exposed to air etc. during the time you have them on. It does sound like she ground too much however they are always very thin for a little while after having artificial nails removed. I have had them on and off for years and every time I stop doing them it takes a while for the nails to grow thicker again.

Oh your poor little fingers im so sorry your hurting. I know that raw feeling I never paint my nails anymore I think I might be allergic to the nail polish that it hurts down to the bone of my fingers.
I hope they heal soon. That lady does not know how to do business. Because maybe you stop for now but what if later you wanted to get your nails dune she ruined that for herself.
And I love this page it came out so beautiful. Those leaves are awesome. I need to fu d some ❤ Thank you for sharing

That frame from the labels is amazing. I know for sure now that I need, yes NEED, that label set of digitals, Likely BOTH volumes. I am laughing at myself now. I am so charmed by this project. I am thinking game board since I do not have the BINGO cards. I may just purchase a set to split between my grandchildren and I tp play with, and for me to play with alone! Play for me would be usage similar to yours. I may even request my grandchildren to "age" them for me if I purchase new. I am so enjoying this series. Thank you for sharing!!

Oh Margreth I was very concerned about your nails when you were not liking them. I developed an allergy to the products after having nails on for ten years. I experienced the same problems with very thin nails for a very long time after. Try putting castor oil on them before bed and put cotton gloves on to sleep. Be sure that the oil doesn’t have hexane(spelling?). Preferably an organic oil in a dark glass bottle. I’m loving this journal. So much fun. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

Your nails will feel better in a few weeks as they grow out. Gels and acrylic do damage to the nail and make it thinner. Don't put anything but lotions on them and keep them short until the are grown out. Love your channel.

Margareth your sense of humor is such a gift. You have so much fun when you craft and always make me smile. Thank you
PS: I don’t do fancy nails for the same reason. Too thick and all the glues I use interfere with the polish and or finish. Feel for you 😮 AND if polish isn’t good because your nails need to breathe then think what happens when we cover them with all that goop that makes the nails. I’ve had my share of them, but not anymore. Plus all that money I’d spend for the frufruing I’d rather spend on crafty supplies lol!

Wat de nagels betreft moest dat inderdaad zo als er gel op zat. Door de gel krijg je nl hele slechte nagels en dat moet er goed af. Niks op doen hand and nails lotion gebruiken. (Roze flesje) Groeien je nagels sneller en ze worden weer stevig. Gewoon je nagel met die lotion in masseren. Iedere dag 😉Mooi project!!!

Lovely project. I had the same problems with my nail. Yes she removed my polish the same way as yours my nails were very sensitive. I would not use anything on your nais. Let the air at them. If no improvement in a couple of weeks see your doctor. I am hoping you do not get an infection.

I miss my gel nails but they are a lot of maintenance and money. Just time to let them grow out and keep them trimmed short as they grow. My fave product for nail health is l’occitane nail treatment oil with shea.

Sorry to hear about your nails 😢
As a former “nail person “ I would say
Keep them short if they are thinner then usual… they can break more easily now while they grow out.
Moisture them with nail oil and hand cream every day
And, as always, lovely page and the frame, just wow 🤩 ❤
Depending on how long your nail bed is it’s probably going to take 2-3 months for them to fully grow out.

Fabulous, Margareth! I love how well the whole page came together. The neutral colours are perfect and the bird is lovely. Your creativity is a bottomless well. It’s wonderful to watch you create something awesome every video. I am appalled at what your neighbour did to your nails. It will take a long time for them to heal. They will have to grow out. She shouldn’t be allowed to do nails. She has no idea how to treat them. They will need TLC for a long time to come. Thank you for great video even though you are in pain. Love from England xx

  • @TheLadyWoreBlack73

Your nails do need air for a bit, but then a clear coat of regular polish will help with the sensitivity. Try in a day or 2. You can also use JUST gel polish without a gel base. My mom has nails that she can murder with! Super strong and grow really long. All she uses is the polish. It doesn't thicken your nail any more than standard polish. So you CAN have nice polish that lasts a little longer without the bulk. My mom's lasts 14 days no problem. She does her nails every other Sunday and they usually still look pretty good unless she's been gardening without her gloves.😂 I quit getting my nails done because of nasty, mean techs as well. A basic set up is not too expensive, go with an LED light instead of UV and you can do them at home.

    Oh so fabulous another masterpiece.
Love how you just put things together and it works
Um nails do need to breath after having gels .I was told that as I had similar issue and had all taken off I had them all off made my own nails very soft They will settle with the sensitivity. I wouldn't put polish on for a while oil will help.
Perhaps take a collagen supplement help boost them along.

This is my favorite so far. But I say that with every page. Nails... my gal took it off correctly. But there was a stubborn piece so she got the dremel tool out and she went right through the nail and I swear I saw smoke just before I yelled out in pain. That was just one little spot, can't imagine having all the nails done like that. So glad you worked through the pain to create this masterpiece.

What a unique page and so beautifully done. I had to go get the Labels 2, I just had to. Found another digitial I had to have of hers while there 😂.
I have no advice for your poor little nails... I felt very incensed over what "that woman" did. Highly unprofessional of her. I had that type of nail product once many many years ago. Liked them for work but hated them for around the home. I keep my nails short now as I do a variety of art media. I need the tactile senses, no ifs, ands or buts about it. 😊

Love the collage frame. As for your nail, wearing gel or acrylic nails for a long time it weakens your nail. The glue being remove with buffer machine also weaken the nail. Using the oil will strengthen your nail. After a week just use nail hardening to help stop the tenderness. It get better in time. I hope you feel better soon ❤

Margaret I'm so sorry that happened to you. 😢 I did nails years ago and have had another technician do that to mine, thin as tissue paper where they hurt. My suggestion is to keep clear nail polish on them to thicken them and this should help with the pain. You'll have to wait for them to grow out unfortunately. Please do not return to such a person that does such shoddy work.

❤❤ Fantastic Page!! 😊😊 Your nail person was being mean. 😮 😢 She could have removed your gel nails with acetate and foil. When you change your nail color, they do it all the time. She didn't have to take off so much of your natural nail 😢 with drill bit. I would suggest just keep a few layers of base coat on them and some nail oil to help keep them healthy. I take vitamin for nails and hair to help strengthen my nails also, it might help them grow and strengthen back faster. 😢 Sorry they are so sore and hurt.😢
Keep up the great work on this journal, I ❤❤❤ every page😊😊😊

Love this! And the leaf skeleton is awesome too. Great idea to suggest doing a postal stamp frame. Would love to see a video on that sometime. Thank you for this very inspiring project!

soak your nails in luck warm water add spoon full of Epsom salts and dish soap . Epson salts stops the pain in nails but add clear coat polish to your nails. They will feel so much better.

I had the same problem when I wanted to quit having my fingernails dipped. I think that the treatment with the foil is not enough to get it all off and that's why they have to use the Dremel tool. It left my fingers so sore like yours are and thin as paper. I found something at walmart. It was a clear polish that was used to nurture damaged fingernails. I just used it a few times and my nails came right back to normal. I hope you can find a product similar to it . I think this piece is just lovely. I have so many labels of all kinds that I could surely make a variety of frames thank you so much
