Rods from God is the name for a proposed type of orbital weapon that basically drops telephone pole sized tungsten spikes from orbit and lets gravity handle most of their acceleration. It probably wouldn't work very well in practice, but it's a fun idea that shows up from time to time. My guess is this was translated and it got got somewhere between "Ray of God" and "Rods from God". I really wish you bought the light blue, buildable, structure immediately bellow the greyed out segments of the castle. I'm pretty sure there were supposed to be 3 different states: Built, which is a textured blue; buildable, which looked to be trying to do a holographic, light blue, thing; and then locked, which was grey. Buying something connected to the unbuildable segments would have been a good way to test what was going on. With that said, if that is what they were going for, they really needed to do a better job of differentiating between the three states and, generally, communicating what was going on. Also, I'd say almost all of the upgrade numbers are WAY to low and its not just a matter of cost mismatched costs. There's no way you'll ever notice a 1% upgrade in play, so there's no point in asking the players to pay for one, outside of something like an incremental game where the entire point is stacking literally thousands of those tiny upgrades to make huge numbers. The castle doesn't seem to be doing that and neither do the more traditional upgrades.
I'm going to be honest with you...I didn't even realize there were two different blues. Now that you say that, I think that's exactly the system. But have light blue and slightly lighter blue without any kind of key is not a very good system. Had I realized that I probably would have done exactly as you suggested to test it out. But perhaps if the dev sees this, it'll show a real time example of how the blues are WAY too similar.
Dev here! Super happy for your playthrough! Will go through the video and improve the game a lot based on your feedback! If it is okay I will let know when there is a big steam next fest demo ready before the fest and a build before launch!
Wow.. the build map could have really used some work. I did notice that things you can build were supposed to be like a blue outline, but it's the same blue as the stuff that was already there... They really couldn't have picked any other color? Edit: Okay, after watching some more of the video, I feel like this REALLY needs some time in the oven overall. Some stuff in there is just kinda weird, honestly.
This game looks really really cool, that innovation on the genre is fantastic.

I still need to try this one.
Well get to it man!! It's not like there's any massive games to play this weekend 🤣

That screen shake from the laser is absolutely horrible.

yup, I had no idea until another commenter mentioned that there were two different blues in the map building section. WAY too similar in shade!
@@Ganyonz Actually, the demo version I played had already fixed that, now there are more colors there. Which is definitely a good thing.
@@umbaupause That's good to know that it's already been adjusted!
It is now a different color, let me cook man!
