    Coal was decimated by fracking. Cheaper than coal, cleaner to burn, less maintenance for power plants. Also, machines took away a lot of jobs, not to mention mountaintop removal.

    Coal was given the death penalty long before Obama was out of school.the EPA and the clean air act along with safety regulations being enforced slowly but surely strangled coal to death. Peabody coal 33 years western KY. retired.

      Yeah, a jerkoff from NYC, who has never done a minute of manual labor in his life - let alone worked an honest job - is a friend to coal miners. Your industry is dead, son. Learn a new trade, and look up "Stockholm Syndrome" in the meantime.

    Coal miners: Half the time telling people how horrendous the job is, the other half of the time laughing off the idea of working in clean, safe, renewable, sustainable energy above ground.

    That’s the whole idea. Increase the cost to mine coal that way mines have to shut down so politicians can get their returns on their green energy investments.

    If this is the Cumberlands it's not Appalachia. And it's (Appa lace sha) not (Appa lat Cha). Appalachia is the Smokey Mountain region. I don't know why they have been calling the Cumberlands, Appalachia. It's confusing as hell geography wise.

    • @ZX-ou5op
      @ZX-ou5op Рік тому

      It's App-uh-latch-uh. Pronouncing it "Appa-lace-sha" is a telltale sign that you're not from the region.

      Just because a person does hard work doesn't mean he is not educated . All you have to do is look at farmers and truck drivers. One the other hand look at AMERICA in 2023 and the over educated asses we have for president and vp !

    Good. They should learn to code or just accept their own irrelevance and be homeless.
