- Today we are baking Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars. It's a very simple recipe that your children (and friends) will love to eat.
Recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars:
(Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius)
In a mixing bowl add:
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup oil
Mix and then add:
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
Mix well then add 1 cup chocolate chips.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out your mixture. Bake at 180 degrees for 17-20 minutes. (Baking time may vary.) Enjoy!
Hi Ruth! Came over from the Life in Japan channel. Thanks for the recipes so far. I look forward to many more videos. Thanks 😊
Thank you for the encouragement for all us mommas out there!! I know that I can be more focused on my chores and forget the exact reason that I'm doing it all for, the family God gave me ❤❤❤
Very minor suggestion: Could you have the temperature prompted in both Celsius and Fahrenheit? (I think it might help with wider audiences.)
180°C is equivalent to about 350°F. Quick Google search to convert if you need to. Love you MamaChan!
Love the recipe, love the preaching of the word !! It is both quick and simple, yet effective 😄 Thank you Mama Chan !
What a fun channel. From what I see on Life In Japan, this is perfect for you!! Congrats! 🎉
Thank you for creating this channel!
Love that your videos are short which is my cup of tea this mama approves!
Do a tour of a Japanese kitchen please. They look so different.

Thank you for this channel Ruth! You made me cry with the little one on one talk. I really needed to hear that. Thank you so much!
Love the new channel and that recipe.
I watched the brownie video first and was so happy to see 2 more videos. Three of my all time favorites: brownie, banana and oatmeal treats! You have a very inviting and friendly personality. It was nice to have a reminder to be grateful of what I usually take for granted or even complain about. Love your positive attitude 😀
Ruth, obrigada pela receita e conselhos. Você é especial, Deus te abençoe! =)
🌻Hello!
🌻Nice Recipe!
🌻Looks Delicious and Tasty!
🌻Love this so much! Yummy!
Love it! Oats are so nutritious I try to add them where ever I can in my family's diet. I have lived in Japan for about a decade so for years I had to make substitutions until Costco opened up and then Aeon brought Kaldi. So I don't have to sub as much as I used to. But I learned that for brown sugar you can just add 1tsp mollasses per cup of granulated sugar to equate the brown sugar since American brown sugar is granulated sugar with the mollasses added back into it. Muscavado is also a delicious brown sugar option in Japan as you know, but I love the American flavor of blackstrap mollasses. I thank the Lord for Costco bringing some of my home conforts from America to the country where I live now.
It’s so nice to see your channel is up Ruth. You’re a natural on camera!❤
These look great and simple enough to make, thanks 💜
Congrats on your channel! Good job on your first video! These look yummy, I am going to try making them. (been watching LIJ since your twins were little, thanks for all the positive energy you guys bring!)
Nicely done. I can't wait to try this! ❤
Congraduations to you own channel !

Love your recipes Ruth! So happy to see your channel up and see recipes i can actually manage to make in the little time i have. Take care!
You should bring your eggs to room temperature so it does not curdle the mixture
The blueberry fiend is lurking again! I wonder... 🤔🤔
