Dodge Nitro 07 - Jeep handbrake trick, Emergency brake. See description.

Handbrake no tension - tried a few other things online but clock spring loose, Wal the genius up the road came up with idea to bypass springs and hook straight up to leaver e.g. old school.. works great.
I am Australia and slightly different configuration than Europe and USA models. Hope it helps.

Can you tell me how you actually hooked onto the lever ? Did you drill a hole through it to attach the wire holder ?
I got mine apart atm to try and fix nearly goes all the way up before it moves the two cables
