Lecture 5 mentions Observational study under analytical study .....this lecture says analytical and descriptive study comes under observational study. Pls clarify .
In retrospective cohort study design we start with the exposure. The exposure is ascertained from past records and the outcome is ascertained when the study is begun. The measure of association is relative risk. However, in case-control study we start with the outcome, cases (who have the disease) and controls (those without the disease) and then determine their exposure history. The measure of association is the odds ratio.
Dear Sir, You have only read the slides, can you please explain what is odd ration and its significance, what is recall bias etc, you could have elaborated these points in the lecture
Very poorly explained lecture... it was just like reading the slides.. no satisfactory examples were introduced... please improve your teaching skills first..
Very informative, thanks a lot sir

The previous lecture classified Cross sectional survey as a descriptive study and here it is classified as an Analytical study. A bit confusing?
cross sectional studies can be either analytical (if there is a comparison group) or descriptive ( if there is no comparison group)
Please correct the assignment question number 8.It is written anemia instead of dementia in the last sentence
Please show simulaneously what speaker is saying
Understanding is ok but assignment nare bit tuff
Pls replace this lecture by another faculty member
