I had the same issue w/Xperia 1 IV as well, but found a forum post that essentially guided me through the same workaround as this. I'd maybe change the title for it to include Xperia's 1 III - VI, b/c I initially just searched for "fastboot not working for Xperia 1 IV" on UA-cam and basically got nothing. So including the other Xperia 1's in the title would really help
Hi, thanks for your video. I am still unable to get platform tools to recognize the phone. I have removed the old driver and loaded the one you suggested and rebooted. The devices command states :daemon not running, starting now at tcp 5037, daemon started successfully, List of devices attached........ and there are no devices listed
Sounds like the phone may not have ADB enabled or isn't connected successfully / drivers, I'd suggest trying on a USB 2 controller as well as on Linux if windows isn't working for you.
Some models do not allow bootloader unlocking, mine is a 3rd generation USA model which does, some more recent generations need to be European model, as some newer USA and Japan models do not allow unlocking.
@@silspeedid9186 Which model do you have? some more recent ones can not be unlocked for certain regions models, you can check Sony's Bootloader Unlock AOSP Project site developer.sony.com/open-source/aosp-on-xperia-open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader#unlock-code

not working on xperia 10 VI ...........
What error are you receiving? I do not have a gen VI phone to test with currently, It may be worth trying on Linux as well.
Unlock bootloader sony 1II ?
I have not attempted on a 2nd generation Xperia but if you are able to get the unlock code I'd imagine the process to be very similar
