so true, lex was such a sweet character, it was all lionel's cruelty and betrayal that turned him evil. the show did a great job on the character development of lex. they really gave the character of lex luthor a depth that he never had in the original movies. all the background childhood stuff they showed also gave us a real look how a man can descent into darkness. michael rosenbaum was the best lex luthor ever.
i love Rosenbaum and Glovers chemistry.
I remember their scenes in Smallville very eloquent all the time..love them
John Glover & Michael Rosenbaum are so wicked together..the humor just bounces back and forth..Brilliant....
"The wife I had, I threw her off a plane.. For crying out loud" LMAO! watching that scene, it seems really intense, but when Michael says it like that and puts it that way, it does sound really funny, then John cracking up just made it funnier 🤣🤣🤣

ye i agree that lex and lionel add an elegance to smallville. wid der big words etc lol. der very kool ppl in real life too. n tom is sooo modest, articulate and polite, totally gorgeous

Wow, this special show was produced by ABC. Smallville was really a hit.

John Glover has the perfect face for an actor- That structure the camera loves.
I thought Lionel Luthor was creepy until I saw John Glover. He's so nice and.... he's even creepier than Lionel.

John glover is a little nervous, good actor thow. Interviews are intense thow, they're never easy. Michael Rosenbaum is the best lex luther yet.

I lived with a guy who acted all badass but he totally felt strange when he saw me kiss my sisters on the cheeks b4 they left the house. He couldn't understand family love as most see it as normal to do that

gosh, John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum were the two antagonists that gave the show a great edge. I'm so mad that they took both of them out of the show (not exactly Michael, but still).
aw this makes me miss lionel & lex! they are so funny in this interview with stuff like i just want you to love me dad & the throwin' a wife out of a plane lol still love the show hope there is another season coz the current season rules! i am trying to get all the seasons on dvd wich is goin' slowly coz i only have seasons 1 2 & 3 & i can find every season apart from 4 wich is annoying! i wonder if lex will ever come bac! love john on heroes he was good!
look...whether john glover is gay or not...WHO CARES? he is a great actor, and, judging by this, a really nice guy!
He was definitely the villain. What else can you call a murderer and a sadist? And I never bought his so-called redemption either, he never showed any genuine remorse over what he had done to his victims, Lex in particular. He simply changed sides and continued being manipulative and cruel. Lionel as a villain was way more convincing than Lex.
Why wasn't this ever published to the DVDs?

Lady's and gents you are looking at the voice behind the Riddler from Batman TAS.
The smallville cast seemed to have to talent to be in superman movie, they would have just needed different crew for the film. The crew was great for TV, but not film.

No he aint "the villain" but he hasn't been a good guy. He was kinda the Villian the first seasons however, but once he was chosen as a vessel of Jor-El he changed.
Remember he got his parents killed, killed the Veritas guys etc...
