- In one adorable moment, spotted only by a few fans, Prince Louis asked if he could sit on his grandfather Prince Charles's lap during the weekend's celebrations.
The four-year-old royal could be seen clenching his fists, poking out his tongue, waving his arms around and putting his hands over his mother's mouth during the pageant.
He seemed to calm down later when he sat on his grandad's knee to watch the show.

This just proved to me that Prince Charles spends time with his grandchildren for Louis to feel so comfortable run into his grandpa and climate in his lap.
I thought the same. It was a sweet moment.
Makes up for William and Harry. That's why grandparents come in handy!

He did his best but Harry has issues thanks to Diana and the way she treated him as her co-dependant partner rather than son. All facts from Lady Colin Campbell and in her books and on her YT channel from first hand information given to her by Diana herself and her family and friends. As for William, he seems like a hands-on, loving father. He and Catherine seem like great parents and their kids clearly love their great-gran and their Grandpa Charles and Granny Camilla given how they interact with them in the public eye.

As much as I don't really like Charles he's not my cup of tea I have to say its nice to see him being affectionate with Louis, being a grandafther has made him seem more human it was lovely to see that softer side of him
@@wickedwitchoftheeast88 I think maybe he knows he made a lot of mistakes with his children and doesn't want to repeat them with his grandchildren. He and William seem to have a very good relationship today and with his three older grandchildren it seems to be a great relationship too.

He's such a cutie! All 3 of them are darling. I think they were so well behaved yet get to openly act their age like children should in public despite being close heirs to the throne.

I can't stop watching it, it's so lovely to see Charles cuddling his grandson and bouncing him to the music so normal. I think people are warming to Charles after the wonderful speech to his mother and Louis and he just seems more relaxed and happier

Being a grandfather myself, this gave me goosebumps. A lovely tickle, Charles did exactly what I do. Knee dance and some rhythmic tapping to the band. Lovely 🥰🤗🥳

What I love about it it proves that Charles spends time with his grandchildren and they love their grandpa. Because we don't get to see them in private or know how much if any time he spends with them this clip proves how close they are and Louie loves Grandpa. He didn't ask to sit in anybody else's lap LOL it looks like Camilla has turned out to be a good Grandma also.

They all are a tightly knitted family. The way they have welcomed Beatrice's stepson Wolfie to the family is super awesome. He is becoming a part of the RF Cousins Gang.

Wonderful to see three generations of the Royals enjoying and sharing this momentous occasion together. Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, first cousins, second cousins - just fabulous.
This is one of the reasons why I like royal families. They have a vast family system.
In Muslim communities we always encourage to respect family members, and the extended family get together always without exception in festivals and holy days. In a young mind a loving family member leaves their mark forever. I remeber my maternal grandpa and the way he talked in easy manner and the way he had a fondness for grandchildren before we lost him in my childhood. I was luckier to have my maternal grandma with me to my twenties, who left fond memories. She had never ever scolded me for anything, and this is very rare i know. Grandparents are very important.
This is something that Harry and Meghan didn't think about. That loss of family connections and how their kids are going to feel about it when they are older. I just hope that they are honest and tell their children that it was a choice they, Harry and Meghan, made to leave. It was a choice they made to do the Oprah interview and how it hurt their other family members. Because they first said, "I felt like this happened" or "I think this is why I felt like this." They made direct accusations against the royal family, which caused a rift that can never be bridged.

I think he and Charles have a special relationship-George and Charlotte are the heir and the spare so Louis gets to be everyone’s pet. You often seem Louis waving to Charles or looking for his grandpa when they’re at events together. There are pictures from when he was a baby of Charles doting on him and Charles even had one of those photos visible in his office when he did an interview there! Plus, Charles is one of Louis’ names, so I think that helps :) It’s a lovely relationship.
Not necessarily true. There are many cases of kids just going off with any stranger as they have absolutely no sense of danger.
I'm sure Charles was only too happy to put Louis on his lap. Louis seems to make everyone happy, there's always one grandchild that does that. I have one too.

@@karmad4491 Louis was so cute to watch! But I agree that all 3 of the Cambridge children are darling little superstars. You can just tell that William & Catherine are wonderful parents and that their kiddos have a very close relationship with their grandparents and extended family members. It's was a delight to see them getting to be kids. Actually, all of the royal children were great fun to watch at the parade including Mia & Lena Tindall and Savannah & Isla Phillips.
The other two are old enough to temper their enthusiasm a bit.
He settled right down once he was there, too. He needed the pressure of Charles' hands grounding him, and the rythmic rocking soothing him. Pa knew instinctively what to do to calm and distract him. What a good Pa, and a well loved grandson.

Looking at the royals reacting to Louis wanting to sit on grandpa's lap tells me this is a natural occurrence for them. Happy to know that and to see this. Often times, we see them being very formal and not relaxed at all. Seeing them like this makes me smile.
It's moments like this that remind us that the royals are also human beings who care for their families, just as we all do.
I am awed more and more by HRH The Prince of Wales. It was obvious that he was NOT merely being tolerant of his grandson but was actually enjoying being a grandfather because he was tapping his hands on the kid and was moving his thighs up and down to the beat of the music. AMAZING. 😊😊😊

I’m 55 and not ashamed to say I remember sitting on my granddad’s knee when I was Louis age. He’ll remember those moments all his life.
Makes you aware how time fly’s, I remember when William was born and Charles seemed old fashioned and stiff, look at him now. Grandkids and he was a single parent raising his boys. You gotta give him the thumbs up 👍

The children are all adorable and Prince George and Charlotte were amazingly calm and so lovely.
I keep forgetting that Charlotte just turned 7 because she is so mature for her age and she's small compared to George who towers over her at age 8½. She has impeccable manners just like her mama and takes cues from Catherine easily and on her own. She looks just like Catherine did when she was a girl. She will grow up to be gorgeous just like her mama!
This was one of the best parts of the jubilee for me ! How lovely for Prince Charles to feel Prince Louis wanted to sit on HIS knee! ( not his mum or dads but his good ol’ grandad ! ). Just shows what a loving relationship they must have !

I still remember getting bounced on my grandma and grandpa's knees as a child. I'm not a granny yet but I think it's a grandparent's dream to be able to do that and I remember loving it.

I’m a great grandmother now, 11 grand kiddies and one 9 year old great granddaughter. It’s a wonderful experience. My dad died when my kids were young, he didn’t live to see his great grandkids.
My mother did though, she died at 96. We have a five generation photo….great great grandmother, great grandmother (me), grandmother, mother and baby.

Charles can hardly have a relationship with Grandchildren he doesn’t get to see , play with or even get to knw & vice versa for those kids & it’s not the children’s place to hunt down ANY of their relations ,how could it be . Obviously they all see each other frequently to be at ease like that, even Uncle Mike Tindall tried to help Catherine, and all the kids must also see each other as with how they all started sharing the lollies, it's lovely to see how normal they really are.

Charles and Ann have a geat relationship these days…. I really admire this family.
I think Charles and Anne have always been much closer than most think them to be. Because of primogeniture, Anne has never been a threat to Charles and they were the only two siblings for about ten years, Charles knows he can always trust her and the country trusts her.

Louis was calling "Pa" but because of the loud noise, Charles didn't hear. So Charlotte did the big sister thing, she asked William to ask Charles whether Louis can come over.

I'm so glad to see Charles openly caring for his family. Diana's death is tragic , but I do believe it made Charles see what's really important. I think he really stepped up for his boys and it's good to see.

He knew better than to act up when he was on grandpa’s knee😄 he acted the best behaved when he was with Charles. Very cute.
That just shows what a beautiful bond Charles has with his Grandchildren, he clearly loves them and they love Him..they have grown up in a loving family who all love and support eachother ❤️

I can’t stop watching this! It’s adorable. As a grandparent myself I understand that special bond. It is one every child should get to enjoy if they can. (Not to mention the grandparent - pure joy)
I think that once the king became a grandfather it really opened up his heart and become more affectionate to a lot more people and it really shows. Lovely to see the bond he has with louis.

This is so sweet, yet there are people who believes that all these sweetness were an act, that William stopped loving his father after Diana died, give me a break! William obviously still loves and respects his father and Louis obviously adores his grandpa and grandpa feels the same for his sons and grandkids.

It wasn't an act as evidenced by Louis wanting to be with Charles and asking his parents if he could go sit on grandpa's lap. After William got over the shock of the affair being revealed publicly while at school and hearing it from his school pals and his parents divorce and then his mother's death, he and Charles became very close. The same goes for Camilla's two kids, Tom and Laura. They love their mother and Charles, and Camilla has said on numerous occasions how great of a dad he's been to his boys and what a great step-dad he's been to her kids and even what a wonderful granddad he is to his grandkids and her grandkids. He seems like a family man, and it's clear he loves his dear mama too by the way he speaks about her.
No way would a little one fake affection. That was as honest and pure as it gets! God bless them!

Even teenagers are taught that that is a stupid thing to do. She did not deserve to die but I think that her bad decisions were partly the cause of the tragedy. Being beautiful does not automatically make you wise or virtuous.
