The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names. - Розваги
“You guys should not do hand breakdowns.” The nicest way Dougie P can say you maniacs are so lucky right now lol
Doug: "How brutal can poker be?"
Dealer: "Yes"
Nah that wasnt brutal luck Doug punted calling of like 40k with 2nd pair on the wettest of boards. Flopping the set and then betting after the 1 card straight hits..... its just not good poker. He tilted like a fish.
@@captaincandor2182 he should sign up for upswing poker. Its supposed to be an excellent poker training site. Even the pros need to work on their game.
@@captaincandor2182 imo Doug played reasonable in all spots here. The blockbet with set on the 4straightboard is pretty standard, he can merge sets and straights here and some 2pairs, not sure what to bluff there maybe some 8x he raised on the flop. The TT hand river bet I would argue that it's unnecessary to turn into a bluff since Alex is already pretty polarized and unlikely he will fold a hand like KK and by checking he would give Alex opportunity to bluff with his random 4betbluffs. The last hand TJo is far from standard, but once in the spot it is also a close riverspot, especially vs Alex, who can have QJxs, or As5x, maybe turns a hand like 87s into bluff etc. so far from tilt plays, it's more like his 'randomizer' was a bit off that day.
Dealer: I used to play before busting out
Thanks for uploading this, had a pleasure watching it
Doug could play any high school bully character in the 90's
That was one of that days when you should have stayed home... whatever you play you are gonna be felted... I feel it
That's the way poker goes. Who among us hasn't sat in Doug's chair and gotten crushed by insane variance for hours?
First hand, Taras saying "...I think I have a good bluff catcher...I'm blocking...."...what does he think Doug's cold 4bet range has? 75s? 66?? He literally doesn't block a single card of Doug's range..._maaaaybe_ 65s, but Doug never takes this line with it.
Blocking 66 is all
You guys over complicate these things, sometimes it’s as easy as there’s a lot of low cards, he re raised pre flop so unless this man spiked a J I’m good
@@miketang8719 overpairs
That is one of the most brutal sessions Ive seen live. The runouts and get theres from fishy hands was insane. I guess u gotta feed the fish too though make sure they come back
Ha

@@captaincandor2182way to tell everyone you’re not good at poker.
@@snowbird2893he does not understand what he says. Je heard something.
Gotta love widening ur range against people that "think" they're good at poker
The last call with a pair of Js only on the river was probably a bad one (and like he said himself he probably shouldn’t even have been in the hand to begin with!) but basically this was just an example of running bad. Poll’s a great player - it’s reassuring to see players of his caliber have runs like this. The lesson to be learned here is when running bad, it’s better to tighten up pre-flop so that you’re left with easier decisions later in the hand. I think Doug would agree.
'when running bad' is no factor when every hand is stand alone.👀
@@Jasper-zl6ld He means psychologically less taxing smartass.
no solver 4b with JTo in that spot
i just go on tilt and win with unsuited connectors.
@@NotfromDatelineThe latest version of tilt solver 100% 4bets here.
I’d like to see a breakdown of that is wild..
This is gold right here 24:30
My men helping each other out😂
Doug is a classy man, who goes out of his way for others. Respect.
Like when he ran around Brewer at the wsop hu?
Hes playing with his ego and what he calls GTO inreality I've seen so many hands that just doesn't make sense to play like that considering the type of player i mean play GTO vs 43-2 or 60-40, it doesn't make any sense what so ever!
He is on his way to being broke soon.
@@cragjones1799 Lmao
@@joedon1706 - One can only hope.
"I'd like to see a break down on that one." 🤣
That was great 🤣🤣🤣
I watched the livestream and had to relive it here.
Who else noticed rampage going for the smoke break at 2:27 😂
Looked like American Spirit light blue, good choice
"......and Alex and Bulldog want more Modelos...." cracked me up, bro. Well done. 😂😂
That needle, “I dunno, is that worth a breakdown”😂😂😂😂Fukn gold
Dear god what a brutal session, and so many punts from other players that got payed off.
...TT hand was weird, but I'm assuming there is some weird mergey stuff happening/fancy play syndrome going on?
lol ok, so you think he playes good vs the population in this game?! ^_^ i think he plays absolutely terrible!
The amount Doug lost in 9 hours is more than 3 years worth of the average American annual salary (after taxes). Let that sink in.
How ever pro you are. There are many ways to crush you in bad run :D
How does it feel to host an all star poker game and lose .
Doug: yes
16:04
rampage: Breaking News, today i get fuked...
LOL IM DEAD
Mariano and rampage with the metal detector though lmao
when was this from? Thx
Listening to Taras talk game theory shows he knows what he's talking about :)
He called his hand twice as he was thinking it through and called 10's pretty early in that process.
This was the livestream of the year. So entertaining.
Jesus I haven't seen a deck this cold since the last season of Deadliest Catch.
I like this comment lol
Doug doing his best Brad Owen impression
Take heed young aspiring players, gambling is a tough gig! Keep your day jobs!
Day jobs aiaiaiia thats the worst idea in todays world....somhow, and I'm not 24 years old let me tell you this, I'm over 35 but day jobs?! Being a slave for somebody else to prosper, i doesn't seem like a nice thing to do!
Nothing worse than getting smashed at your own game
Getting needled while it happens?
@@wc123 that too lol
Geeze.... can't catch a break. Seems like Downswing poker. Nice show
imagine the feeling when you're bluffing then the opponent is thinking to call
"just because you win, doesn't mean it's a good call!"
True!
Doug is really good at poker when he gets good hands 😂
lol
Lol. Yeah he was really good at poker w these coolers and bad beats too
He’s literally one of the best heads-up players that’s ever lived you’d be wise not to poke fun just cause everyone who tried to punt vs him got lucky n got there
@@windy6455 your mom is literally one of the best 1 v 1 players
most of bulldog range destroys polk
Polk: "iS iT PocKEt 5's?" lol
Had so many sessions just like this. It's a brutal game and a lot of the tv shows historically would edit out the losses of the famous players to make them look like gods. Variance stings but rushes happen too. And of course, rake.
Avoid paying off nits and you'll get there faster!@@basdfef4775
This is the most interesting Show👍🔥🔥
You should put a link to the full session in the sidebar or whatever the hell it’s called.
The lighting in the lodge is toooo bright
The poker is the poker yadda yadda.
The thing I found interesting on this one was when the hostess comes in to the room with a new player / visitor behind her. She goes to a table and picks up one of those security wands and presumably checks him out. Serious stuff !
I saw that. You'd think that'd be happening before beforehand
I’ve had rough days but not 1/4 of a million rough.
29:20 Vanessa showing off her capri pants. Not sure that's a good look.
Ouch!!!😂
That river sizing with TT looks so weird at first glance but when you think about it you can actually get called by worse a lot here. Like way more than you think
Doc Holiday turns to Doug Polk and says: "Maybe Poker just isn't your game - I know let's have a spellin contest".
Can you find out what the name of Doug's shoes are? PLEASE
When do they show his shoes?
To be honest he runned pretty horribly lmao
Really ..he Runned??
he runneded quite poorlee@@pokerKKcrushr
I mean he ran absolutely terribly
He ran as bad as you spell bro
Wow and that after sunrunning his entire life, sick!
Rampage looks thrilled to be sitting next to the juice ball.
what a cool jacket alex wears does anyone know the brand
Doug gits polked in da rib!
My puter has No Ad Blockers and I Allow YT Ads but still cannot watch any YT Videos . . . Brilliant !!!
Poor Doug, he thought too much. Great lay down tho but bad luck is just bad luck.
Around 30:00 Mariano just folds 99 to a 3 bet, in this game 🤔
i noticed that too :D
Better change sweaters , put in the "downswing" 1 , lol
ouch, seems like he's in a Rut at the moment
Like watching Phil Hellmut on PAD :)
i remember seeing Doug after this & complaining to him about my tournament min Cash
Glad to see motor mouth lose a ton of money. Doug never shuts his damn mouth whenever anyone else is involved in a pot. Yet you see how respectful all the players are to him when he's involved in a big pot.
happens to me a one night disaster got aces twice and got beat twice.
"He raised with Q10 honey!" 😅
Only thing better than flopping quads is seeing Doug Polk gutted.
How does bulldog not value bet river with 86
I wonder if Doug covers himself on his channel lol
Now there’s a title I get excited about.
Does the general public know Doug owns the Lodge poker room? Even if he loses playing cash, he makes table rake $ profit for every hand! 😂
Thank captain obvious!!
Do think he's quite making 200k in one night tho 😅
No rake due to Texas law. They use a membership program to play there.
I love it when someone thinks they are smarter than most people yet are actually clueless.
Rake. Lol
Obviously you don't know your stuff. Casino style gambling is illegal in Texas, therefore they cannot "rake" pots like other places do. It is a "card club" where you rent a chair by the hour instead of paying a rake. By being an owner though, he may get his seat for free, but he's certainly not profiting off of the pots that he loses. Only the hourly rates that people pay for their seats (which isn't that much in comparison to how much casinos make off of rakes).
I think tilt got to him in JTo hand. Run bad in all hands but in some could have lost less. Or x raise on 976 with TT and avoid losing that one.
I think the last call may be tilt getting to Doug, J-10o calling down a huge river bet with a second pair bluff catcher surely something went wrong to get to that spot to begin with.
Wasnt Dug's Day. It happens to all of us
Alex told him to go with his gut. He knew it was bad but still called.
How many different color chips do they need ? Apparently 5
Any hand you call and win is a good call. I called down an opponent with Ace high once. Out kicking him just defeated him for rest of session.
Doug just reminds me of a strong lesbian woman anytime I see him
Vannessa Selbst. Just like Isaac haxton looks like Rachel maddow, another lesbian.
This Tara guy is harder to watch than AIRBRAIN (Airballs)😅
Wow Alex running h0t against Doug
Doug, the dude from the movie weird science named chet
A day I won’t forget wow.
What's up the the girl in the blue dress and the metal detecting wand? Scanning for guns at the lodge?
Genuinely curious how long this video would be if all the tanking was taken out…5mins tops?
That's Crazy He called that.. Donkey
lol crazy man one of those days
I could use less announcing maybe down to 1 for play by play chatter and ad pitching?
The usher is beautiful!
Thank god for twice speed. And it’s still SLOOOWWWWW
The poker lodge is for sale soon lol
He ran cold as ice
Doug got real unlucky here though he was also playing bad which happens.. tough session
These hands take WAY too long. I could not play in this game.
Some days it just doesn’t go your way.
It's just plain ol gambling. Polk bluffs like crazy. Didnt work out this time. The more you gamble the more you lose or the more you win. There really is no knowing. I'm talking about cash games. Tournaments are a little different. Polk was in every hand. That's not a good sign. Too much gambling
@@AmericanBoy1776 its an edit of a 9 hour session. he wasn't in every hand
Do they all have super small hands, or are those just really large chips?
Doug should do a snarky elitist hand breakdown of the last hand.
DP kept flopping the 2nd best hand lolz..he never has the nutz
Nice look how quiet he is when he is losing and how noisy and how he distracts other players when they are on a big pot.
Better than everyone else being noisy both ways.
It just wasn't Doug's night. A set of 7's and still lost.
Although this is painful, it is also reality. Even the best can't outplay variance in the short term.
Although my gut still churns when I lose $20. I can't imagine the feeling when it's $20,000 I'm blowing off.
It's just gambling. Especially in cash games. In tournaments, you can say there is some skill, but also just gambling. A degenerate lifestyle.
Class act
The best thing when Doug is losing: he mostly shuts up and not talking all the time!
damn he just got out flopped, the way she goes
Now that's what you call the electric chair
When it rains it pours.
You aren't in Kansas anymore Doug!
Alex his legendry living ATM.
I am the todays Dough for Poker games. I always get the 2nd best hand.
