Hello, Emperor Tigerstar. I recently visited Hondarribia and Hendaye, which are very close to Pheasant Island. Hondarribia is beautiful, visiting is recommended.
I live in Gipuzkoa, but at the other side of the province. Still, it was nice to see parts of it mentioned. Fun fact, while officialy in different countries, both sides of that borders are inhabited by basque and, so are considered to be part of the Basque Country, BTW, the way you pronounced "Hendaia" sounded very strange to me. But investigating the french pronunciation, I guess that could be a bit closer. I'm more used to the basque one. Still I think the n should be pronounced.
besides rosselló being historically catalan and not randomly "given" in the 13th century (corbeil was mainly about the count of barcelona promising to renounce his occitan ambitions and in exchange france recognized his independence de jure), the pronunciation of urgell in this video really hurts 😖 good explanation of international treaties otherwise
Btw whats with a new Change in the Map video? e.g. Indonesia new capital, Puntland announced his independence and I think there a still a few border changes made between armenia and Azerbaijan (but dont know for sure).
The border between Iowa and Nebraska is the Missouri river, but if you look closely at Omaha you will find a little enclave of Iowa on the wrong side of the river, because the river changed.
Please let there be a week by week or month by month scale conflict in that area and time period so we can have a map with the border changing every six months. 😅
European history: The third queen of Ketlonia and fifteenth king of Rossenland arranged a marriage to end the dispute of the Großenkant River with the The Pèléponiq treaty of 1567. Chinese History: Qing Pei takes power; 4 billion dead
Yes, but the Crown had three kingdoms: Kingdom of Aragon, Kingdom of València and Pricipality of Catalonia. So, for Catalonia, because the law and Courts of Rosselló were the Usatges and the Catalonian Courts.
I’m sorry but you had some video titles spelled wrong. Like you forgot to put the colon in the video "The Anglo-Persian War: Every Day" and erasing the backslash in "The History of Time Zones in North America". Can you please fix those titles please? I know that I’m not supposed to ask you to change the titles. It’s just there are spelling errors. It’s just please fix some titles that are incorrect on some of your UA-cam videos then I’ll leave you alone for a while.
Weird borders can be fun to learn about.
I love me some weird borders.

I saw the title and IMMEDIATELY I knew what it was. I watch too much geography content on youtube.
Yeah, same here. I think I saw it on RealLifeLore?
same ^ reallifelore
Kinda just naturally known
Yeah back when RLL made interesting and factual content
me too
I heard of this island. An interesting case of diplomacy that actually works.
well in the centuries after the agreement spain and france went to war like 6 times so i wouldn't say so necessarily
Im pretty sure even if theres no ceremony its still a waste of time and money to do this
0:42 Thanks for featuring my map! Loved the video!
Petition to introduce pheasants to Pheasant Island
It was a mistranslation, it never really referred to pheasants
In wikipedia it also says that the actual pheasant island was another one that has dissapeared. But I didn't find any evidence about that.
Just let the pheasants have the island in perpetuity, and save France and Spain all the work

@@submarino006 Ah, pues mucho gusto. Yo de Gipuzkoa, pero del otro extremo.
Tim Traveller has a good video about this island too
1:50 i don't think that's how rivers work

I've been waiting for this one for years.

The region of Roselló is historicall part of Catalonia inhabited by Catalonians until this day
Btw whats with a new Change in the Map video? e.g. Indonesia new capital, Puntland announced his independence and I think there a still a few border changes made between armenia and Azerbaijan (but dont know for sure).
I already did two of those. Puntland I believe didn't end up actually happening and was misunderstood.
Fun fact: If you search the island on Apple Maps, it doesn’t say it’s part of France nor Spain
They should just, flip a coin and decide who gets it
Based on the thumbnail I though that you are talking about some island in Dnieper.
Grats on 500k
I hereby declare the Pheasant Island Kingdom.

Wait you haven't made a video about that already?
Emperor Tigerstar should annex the island and make his own nation on it
6 MONTHS?

I wonder if this agreement was still maintained in the early 40's when the "French" government wasn't exactly keen on sharing territory.
in the next video can u make vid about the history of liberland cuz its funny to talk about it
Could you make a video on the Taiping Rebellion?
Island of Theseus

Literal fence sitting
I wonder what happened to the island during the Napoleon wars... Was it annexed by the French?
God, countries are so silly.
Sorry bro, RRL posted this before you fam

"General Knowledge" and "Al Muqaddimah" have done face reveals. It's your turn!
I did that like 5 years ago.
