- Finally received my F4F Sonic The Hedgehog 30th Anniversary statue. Great concept for this piece, awesome light up but unfortunately the hands don't fit in well and after inspecting it, there is a break on one leg. Dampened my excitement for what is otherwise a great looking piece.

Probably should have mentioned in the review, the length is about 17 inches, width is about 11 inches and the height from the bottom of the base to the top of the ring is about 17 inches. Yes, it's a decent size, much bigger than the 25th anniversary version that I have as well.

I don’t think it is a crack, i would have thought the same thing but essentially, it just looks like a fold in the skin because there’s two lines that come together and make a sort of triangular shape similar to just the way the skin on the inner part of skin at the top of your legs
And I would worry about the hands two, if the magnet isn’t very strong especially, because there’s a slim chance it will just fall off but
Most things like this never happen anyway but $600, yes, that’s why I prefer statues that are all in one piece generally, I’ve got no problem with a piece that has switch outs and if the figurine has a key in the foot to key into the base but I prefer a statue to just all be one piece! 😊
It ended up being a hairline crack unfortunately. I was able to get a replacement though and no issues with the new one. Unfortunately, I did have to destroy the first statue, as that was a requirement per First 4 Figures.
Yeah, the hand does worry me, it is a bit tighter in the replacement but I would be careful with anyone bumping into it. Overall I am happy with it though but I agree switch outs are great but sometimes statues in one piece are better. Cheers!

Yeah the lighting and white cabinets help in highlighting the collection.
Breaks/cracks seem to be a common issue. I received the shadow the hedgehog figure and it had a crack on one of it's arms. You would expect better quality control from a $500+ figure.
Agree with you, statues are pretty expensive nowadays, so it can be so disappointing running into issues like cracks and things breaking.

How heavy it is? The base is hollow? Thanks and amazing statue.
I used my crappy bathroom scale to weigh the statue and it says a little over 21 pounds. The base feels well put together and feels solid but I am going to say that it is hollow, particularly since I am assuming they are running the wires for the LED light up through it to the button on the back of the base.
I can imagine they asked you to destroy this statue for a replacement
Yeah, unfortunately it was the only way to get a replacement. Seemed like such a waste.
They did the same thing when I bought a defective PVC exclusive from them. Then let me know after the fact they had no replacements left, and could only offer a refund. 🤣

Nice to hear you got yours, hope everything worked out great. I actually did just get mine this week and had a chance to open it and put it together. Thankfully no issues, everything fit in just right and the lights worked perfectly. Only thing as this was a replacement there was no number on the base or box and no authentication card either.
@@2bitcollector707 yeah I even asked F4F that they said the replacement won’t be a different number of any kind in fact the replacement is gonna be the very replacement statue you first received I got number 77 and the authentication card’s unique identification is tied to the one you bought they said you’ll have to write the number on under the base I kept my original box

@@AdamSelvig unfortunately it's something that it's part of the hobby for me. When I got my 25th anniversary Sonic years ago I had to destroy that one as well to get a replacement because the LEDs didn't work and some parts were broken and same thing with a statue I ordered from Sideshow collectibles, I received a statue where parts of the foot were missing paint or had chips. Although in that case they actually requested I ship the statue back to them. Thankfully my latest purchase of Link in Horseback had no issues.
Your statues hands could’ve been hypothetically weren’t made properly my dr eggman who has magnets in his hands don’t do well with the displayed chaos emeralds because the emerald put on additional weight where the magnets can’t hold them well so idk if the hands not getting a good connection could be bad but at least yours has a way to not easily slide off or fall off
Yeah the hands thankfully do stay on but not very secure, which worries me. I'm getting a replacement anyway so hopefully I will have better luck with that one. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@2bitcollector707 do notify me on the replacement please because seeing these issues regarding the hands and the leg I’m starting to be very very convinced not to take mine out and display mine ever because I hate to own a statue that will be headed towards this same fate when I don’t wanna go through the phase of destroying it because of something already knowing to happen
@@AdamSelvig I definitely will let you know once I get my replacement. I can tell you F4F has been extremely helpful though this process. Don't let my issues discourage you. I would suggest opening yours and enjoying it. Even if there's legit issues with yours at least you know you can get a replacement.

@@2bitcollector707 so my 30th anniversary had a worse issue it's circuit board wouldn't tell the lights to stay off so i had to either keep it plugged in or unplug it if i wanted to turn it off so i had my dad look at it he couldn't fix it so have 7-10 business days from feb 22

Oh man, sorry to hear about that. I had that same issue but with my 25th anniversary sonic statue that came out about five years ago. Thankfully, F4F was able to send me a replacement. Only thing is they asked me to destroy the faulty statue and send them video evidence. I'm still waiting to hear from them abouy the issues on this 30th anniversary statue. Have you tried using a different cable? Also if you are trying to use the battery that came with it, sometimes those batteries are not charged, so you have to put the battery in and then actually plug the statue to an outlet via the cable to charge the battery. Best of luck.
@@2bitcollector707 Does your power button stay pressed in when you turn it on or does it pop all the way back out and how long did it take to charge? Honestly I think it's the battery.
@@Undertalefreak have you tried using it plugged in without the battery? If the light up works with the cable plugged into an outlet, then you know it's the battery. As far as how long the battery takes to charge, I would think no more than a day. My button slightly pops back out when pressing it in. I would say contact F4F if it still doesn't work after plugging into an outlet because if to doesn't work that way either, then you know it's the LEDs. I had a similar issue happen with my 25th anniversary sonic statue too and it turned out the LEDs were faulty. F4F figures did end up sending me a full replacement but I did have to record a video for them showing that I destroyed the faulty statue in full in order to get a replacement.
@@2bitcollector707 good news I took the battery out and it's working except it won't change light settings. At least it's a good step in the right direction.
@@Undertalefreak seems like you are slowly getting there. Usually you press the button once to turn it on and then a second time to switch to the second light setting. If that's not working perhaps it's the button switch itself.
Scale 1/4 ou 1/6!?!?
Height is about 16 inches, so I'm gonna say, this is close to 1/4 scale.
Typical F4F shit, poor QC hit and miss paint apps, Goodluck with F4F giving you any help, they are terrible when it comes to customer service.
Thankfully, I was able to get a replacement but I did have to destroy the first statue. Seemed wasteful. Thanks for watching and for the comment, appreciate it.
