I think the bad tire thing is mostly base on different temperature region these tire were being use. For example, it's a warm -10C today over here, but it's cold 10C down there. Big different effect on tire compound that is being use.
And it's smarter for company to use harder tires compound due to the weight and power system on large basher. At least you can't complain the tires wont' last.

Front flip was indeed proper.... wow!
Arrma is killing it with these 1/7th scale rigs and apart from the body unclipping at the front, and the rebound needing a little heavier shock oils, it seems rather well sorted out of the box (I mean, Arrma 6s cars are pretty solid out of the box for 99% of us) They sure do carry some speed and power.
I'm kinda on the side that the stock electronics are pretty good in these rigs (All mine have the previous gen though, but it's a must to use really good quality batteries, much like T-brand ESC's. Never had any issues. Since you got me onto Ovonic I've slowly replaced all my batteries to those and they do the job well.
Hopefully the firmware update gets rid of the glitch, Nothing worse that spearing a thousand + dollar RC into the ground.

Yeah, the stock system definitely proved me wrong as I was a bit worried about the size and weight of the car being a bit too much for it, but it delivered in spades on this run. Regardless, I've already swapped it out as it was always my plan from day 1, so I'm curious to see how my choice of power system will compare. I don't think it will be much faster, but the power deliver might be different and therefore, so will the performance. But we'll see...

Awesome video , at last we could see the real potential of this beast . 6S seems to have balanced the truck in flight coupled with your skills !. Space X distances for such a heavy truck impressive. Has the glitch problem been solved? . I think you mentioned firmware update . The stock setup looks to be more than adequate. Obviously you had a lot of fun , I did too watching 😎 .
Thanks Alan. Yes, there's a firmware update that fixes the glitch issue, but I've just gone and swapped out the system as I was gonna do it anyway.

This truck really screams on (and for) 6S. And the power system looks to be adequate as long as it doesn't overheat. Do you like how it tracks? I think this is the first RTR ever that could benefit from a bit lighter centerdiff oil.

I like how it drives, it definitely feels like a bigger truck, but has plenty of power to make it agile. To me, it tracks fine and I think the diff setup strikes a good balance. I can get full speed when I want and pop the occasional wheelie when I want.
I am gonna test a different setup when I come out with it again, so stay tuned for that. 😉

Thanks. The body pissed me off a bit because I was trying so hard not to destroy it, but once I got over it, it was full sends the rest of the day. And the Big Rock held up well. 😁
Do you really want to put another motor in it? I think new esc and run it with one of your new radios…. The motor seems to rip pretty good
Awesome video as always, Vas. How do you like this as a Basher/all around compared to some of your other bashers? Im looking fo9r my next purchase. I want to go Arrma. Was looking at this, the new 4s Mojave, new Kraton EXB or the 6s Typhon. I know they are different styles. Just looking for something all around.
Best "all rounder" is the Kraton. Jack of all trades, master of none. Every other car will lean towards a particular attribute or 2, but the Kraton is pretty evenly spread.
For example, a Typhon is fast and nimble - like an F1 car for off-road - but struggles on rought terrain or lush grass because of its short arms and small wheels.
The Mojave has unique handling characteristics, is big, super tough and fast, but it can bite you on jumps and cornering needs finesse or it's rolling over. Multiple times.
The Kraton has all these strengths and some of the weaknesses, but it's evenly spread and balanced. If you want an "all-rounder" there is no better choice. IMO.

I wouldn't recommend 8s without aluminum bulkheads that have the larger input gear bearing. The outer bearing. Then shim the input and ring gears. That, with thicker driveshafts like M2C has, otherwise, 8s will turn them into pretzels. Recommend the EXB diffs with ARRMA's aluminum diff cups, too.
I don't think this truck needs 8S, much like the Reeper didn't need it either. A Max6 1650kv 6S combo is all it'll need.

Excellent video. Chassis flex is probably why that body is coming off. At least some aluminum chassis braces would help if not a legit 7075 chassis

Maybe you'll get lucky and the issue can be resolved via a firmware update. It certainly seems like it would be possible rather than a product recall

what's going on with arrma you spent 750 pounds on a rc and the esc don't work right. tyres don't seem the have any grip either. and what's wrong with the body 😐 you can't beat good old body clips

There's a firmware update that fixes the ESC glitch. Only issue is that you need a program card to do it, but a way to get it done without having to buy one is to take it to your local hobby shop and I'm sure they'll help you update it. 🙂
And there's nothing wrong with the tyres, they grip just fine. Not sure what video you watched, but I had no lack of grip from the stock tyres in this video. 😉
