Thanks for the valuable info. Ever since you guys started flicking flies are Stripers, I've wanted to get a fly rod set up for Powell. I've been fly fishing for Trout since I was 11 years old but I think it's time to expand my arsenal. Good job guys, keep it up.
Hey I’m the idiot talking in the video. So oddly enough it’s a 150g sonar sink 25 by Scientific anglers. I think that rod performs a bit better with a 200g but I underlined it a bit just to try it out.
Honestly, you can't buy a bad sage rod and it all comes down to personal preference. I was at a sage event and they had all of their rods available to test out (saltwater event so all 8wt models). My favorite rod ended up being the Sonic which is their "budget" rod. My second favorite was the igniter.
