The best way to remember everything. Thanks, Mike.😁😁
Usful advice. Thank you Teacher Mike.
Making and studying flashcards requires active learning. Instead of passive learning like rereading notes or watching a video explanation of a topic, you have to test your memory on every card before you can flip it over and see the answer. This constant quizzing is a form of active recall, and studies have shown that active recall makes stronger neural connections in the brain so you're improving your memory faster than you would with passive recall.❤🙏
Yes! However, to me, it's more about just having a tool to put the words in front of you again and again more than it is about quizzing yourself.
Interesting way to memorise words! Thanks, Teacher Mike. 😊
Wow, I love this new lesson. The way you explain everything is great in every sense of the word. Thanks a lot!😊😊❤❤

It's really valuable and useful lesson with the detailed description how to use the flashcards in order to memorize the words along with their pronunciation! Your tips are very helpful,
and effective! I've been learning English and Russian using also the flash cards for a long time. Thanks a lot for this wonderful, interesting and precious video, Teacher!
Thanks, Irena! When you use them, do you do all of the same things that I do? Or do you do anything different?
I use flash cards in a way that isn't exactly the same as You presented here. My practical using of them is much simpler now, and Your procedure is the goal I'd like to achieve in the near future. I like to test myself and I'm looking through the sets of my flashcards only a few times a week, but I don't care about putting them in the right place. Maybe it's due to technical difficulties? Rather, it's because of my laziness! On the other hand, I make the new cards almost every day. In order to save place on the proper, hard paper, I usually write even 2-3 words or expressions on 1 card.
Than you.
Great lesson. Thanks a lot, Mike.😊😊😊

A saying says "If you don't have a good memory, make up good one from paper" Hahaha 😂
I've never heard that before.
We say that in Spanish.
"Si no tienes buena memoria, hazte una de papel" 🤣
Hi ..from Egypt
Hi! Thanks for watching!

🌹
That's how Iam I forget words
🌸🌸🌸
I'm lazy to make flashcards, but I will do it anyway. 😆😆
I'm too lazy to...✅
However, that would mean that you aren't going to do it.
Maybe you want to say "I really don't feel like making flashcards."
Thanks, Mike. I'm making my flashcards now. 😁
I've always heard that translation into your native language instead of using the word in a real context might disrupt your learning.
Yes. However, that's mostly when trying to understand new things or have a conversation.
Translation is the least important part here, and you aren't even really translating anything. All you are doing is occasionally checking whether or not you understood the word correctly.
But most of the time, you should know it and not need to check.
You're welcome to make them without translations if you'd like to. That's fine too. ✅
But if you forget what the word means, and you don't have a translation on it, then you have a useless card.
(I thought about mentioning that in the video, but the video was already too long, and I figured someone would ask in the comments.😅)
@@TeacherMikeEnglish ,thank you for taking part of your valuable time to answer, I'm an English teacher as well, thank you for your guidance, I appreciate it.
