can you make a guide for full-indoor care? i don't have access to an open garden or direct sunlight. my ac is also turned on 24x7. how can i take care of a sulcata or rft on this kind of condition?
An AC room is not advisable, pero kung wala naman options, here’s my opinion. An closed enclosure would be fine, with: 1. Ceramic heat emitter - turned on 24/7. Lagay na lang kayo ng thermostat para kusa syang namamatay at a certain temperature / heat. Lgay ito sa one side of the enclosure para may options sila kung kelan nila gusto nagpainit. 2. UVB bulb - on for 12 hrs / day. Both heat emitter and uvb bulb shall do the job for indoor setup, especially sa mga baby tortoises.
@@T2JulesReptiles thank you for the advise. during po ng soaking, in the morning pwede ko bang gamitin yung uvb bulb while they are soaking? i'm really interested on getting a pair of tortoises for a long time now :)
@@alexsuzaku21 YES! I actually did that when i started with a baby sulcata. warm water soak, tapos nakatapat sa uvb bulb. kasi wala din ako access noon sa direct sunlight. hehe! what tort specifically are you planning to get?
@@T2JulesReptiles as of now, i'm still stuck between getting a sulcata and an rft (if i can find radiated torts, even better). i really love the looks and how big sulcata's can grow. however, i think rft's are the better choice since i was planning to bring them to the province after taking care of it until the space of my enclosure is not enough for their sizes. and since we have a pond at home, i can make a shallower area where the rft's can enjoy wet areas too (Kamp Kenan style XD)...but then again my heart's being tugged by the sulcata's thanks a lot for responding on my noob questions! i really appreciate it!
