Makes sense... Two completely different styles! I'm a big Spineshank fan. No matter how much I've tried listening to Silent Civilian; I simply (unfortunately) can't get into it. It feels like too huge a departure from Spineshank. I'm not surprised by the divide it's created; fanbase-wise. But it's fine! Jonny Santos has contributed a lot to nü-metal already. He probably just got burnt out of the genre. As much as I (selfishly) wish that Jonny could've continued with Spineshank/contributing to nü-metal; it's clear to see he's had a change of heart, and he's much more passionate about Silent Civilian now. I'll always love Spineshank, but regardless oh what I'm privy to-Silent Civilian seems like the more feasible project that Jonny will keep pursuing. We've also seen a similar situation with Dez Fafara and this same dynamic between his Coal Chamber/Devildriver projects. It's cool though! Even if I'm not a huge fan of these newer projects; I can ackowledge the fact that these are artists at the end of the day-we should respect their ability to move past the nü-metal genre and cater towards other demographics, of more traditional music styles. Especially because they've given us so much; as fans of nü-metal!
Rather it be rotating between both Silent Civilivian and Spineshank or just with one, Johnny needs to come back! He's an amazing lyricist! Both of his bands are BEYOND amazing!!!!
Holy, crap! I looked up online that this guy, Johnny Santos, the vocalist of SC, is the lead singer for Spineshank! He looks and sounds unrecognizable here.
@@DownfallDarkness I've just discovered Silent Civilian now and have been a Spineshank fan for years. This is good but it seems tame compared to Spineshank. It terms of writing, production, performance. What happened?!
They were supposed to have released a new album last year. They were taking fan donations and selling merch that never got shipped out. I am surprised not more people have picked up on it...
Legendaries Silent Civilians raising mayhem against fascism just recently released legendaries My Adiction and De la Muerte. Glory to this Metalcore heroes. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 2023.
@@liberatedtapearchive3984 Yeah the setlist is wrong, the third song is not Dead to Me... Maybe someone will correct it, man thanks again, this is the first Silent Civilian full show and Proshot i have seen here on youtube...
They did back in 2012 and the turnout at their reunion shows wasn't that great. "After several years of silence, on February 16, 2016, Mike Sarkisyan in an online interview said that the band had completed what they had set out to do and that there were no plans to continue the band."
Not sure how I missed that Spineshank reunion tour back in 2012, I would pay top dollar to go see them if they did a special show for their Spineshank fans.
I think part of the issue was they reunited 'too early' in the nu metal of-sorts revival, the album they released was absolutely awful, and there was very little buzz or marketing hence the poor turnouts. If they were to reunite say next year and play a few one off shows and focus on songs from THoC and SDP I think it'd be a success.
@@orbital486 Totally I agree, as those two albums, is why I got into them. I actually love the "Anger Deniel Acceptance" album, I have it in physical 💿 although I caught on with the album to late due to lack of promotion. @@megaforceomar2996, yeah, I am one of those fans. I can't even begin to tell how I regret that there is no way to see this band live and shake hand to Santos. It is extremely wrong and bad that this band wasn't so popular back then and now it is gone for good.
The guys were killing it at the same time Ascendacy came out. The two albums are brilliant, if you love Ascendancy era Trivium i think you'll love 'em. I actually think they really flew under the radar. A bit of a shame. Check out the song Atonement and Live Again. Riffs, shred, epic vocals.
Such an underrated band.

What happened to the 3rd album? Complete "Silence" since 2018. But holy shit, were they stellar live.
It's almost done. But release should be summer.
Only recently got into Silent Civilian, but I love me some Spineshank. Smothered, Synthetic and New Disease - not in any particular order 🤣.
Thanks for sharing this !
Miss you guys :(((((
They released a new single a few days back, would be great to have another set uploaded here (if there is one).
