Great video...thanks for walking us through it with you. My 2003 VZ2800 started up today (first time in a while) and had a very hard time, finally got it to start, took off and it didn't feel quite right...thought it needed to warm up some more...rode around the neighborhood a bit, but still didn't change... Came back to house and one pipe had just a touch of blue smoke, the other didn't. I've taken the tank off and check the plug of the cylinder that wasn't firing well (much at all it seemed) and it gets spark. My next step I think is to the carbs.....I'm fairly handy but without something like this I might not try and tackle it! Any other things you can think of, why it might not be firing well one cylinder, if it's getting gas? I'm guessing somethings plugged it up...I always use 100% gas not no GUMMING of sorts...but who knows.

Nice laid out video in detail, I just got a 2000 Marauder VZ800, I want to do as much maitenece myself, is it really difficult to sync the carbs and replace even basic stuff? I can work on scooters and even rebuilt top ends of 150s, It seems that motorcycle are a little more advanced than a scooter, Im hoping I can make the transition, any suggestions for taking care of my 800? TY for your time

So how did it run after you installed them? Can you post a follow up video of bike tuning? Or at least talk about how it runs now?
    Great video much appreciated!

The bike ran much better after doing the full rebuild. No more sticking float needles and after a carb sync it was back to running normal. Unfortunately, I sold the bike shortly after the rebuild and I didn't get a chance to record a carb sync video.

That one is, in the second carby it’s brass and doesn’t move up and down.
Different setups in each carby, if you buy a carby kit, you get both carby’s in the one kit.
      I’m doing it tonight, ;)

I think that’s what he said but I thought that was the accelerator pump diaphragm but they may be called the same 😳

In case you haven't got it yet, that's the fuel drain, tighten the screw that goes in beside it.
