    Explained and understood. But all I see is a converter from ac to dc. How do the current and voltage waveforms come together in phase to correct the pf if they were out of phase without this circuit?
    Also, do new inverter air cons com with pf correction already nowadays.

    Hi . Should An air conditioner running with PWM inverter have any power factor change compared to an AC directly driven AC compressor. Someone told me I need to use a solar inverter 3 times the rating of AirCon because it is inductive load. But I'm thinking PWM inverter driven Air con is not inductive load.

    We are designing 1200W power supply & we want to use UCC28180 For PFC section. We are stuck with PFC inductor design.

    I was wondering what will happen if we replace the AC input with DC one , for e.g instead of 240v AC we supply 345v DC , how would this circuit will response ?

      if we apply dc 345 volt through a current surge protective circuit, and we induct a priority selector for AC or DC, then this circuit will work normally. or we can also use single rectifier in each AC & DC line to isolate them
      then it is doable

    Could you make design a SMPS transformer 's coil and try it ?
    Also you can make a video about for example ETD 39 and calculate some catalogue value(for example Al value, permability etc) in tests Than make a your design flyback SMPS

    sir i want design a 1500watt PFC converter by using ucc28180 IC is driver ic is compulsory required or not. because the IC has inbuilt gate driver IC of sink current of 1.5Amp and source current of 2amp.
