Hey man, In modes after stopwatch it was compass in the video...i have the same issue...in all other videos, after stopwatch they have altimeter then barometer then compass,...how to enable them?
Great video! But I have to say I absolutely disagree when you say it’ll be out of date within 2 years. It has the triple sensor like the master of G, that alone makes this watch a steal in my opinion. The rest notifications, HR, etc is just icing on the cake. Just my two cents.
i agree, it has even an app for updates... so i suppose this watch is like the rest of the GSHOCK like the mudmaster longtime...use....SOLAR POWERED and smartphone link.
Yesterday he was on my wrist. Just to try it. After him I try Rangeman. Basically it's a similar watch but Rangeman is way too bigger. Wrist, and complete wearing this mashine is outstanding!
Thanks for this brief, informative review. I own the Rangeman and consider it to be an absolute GAME CHANGER because of its advanced technology for outdoor tactical functions combined w/ sapphire crystal & the usual G-Shock toughness. This model strikes me as the Rangeman’s “urban cousin” and perhaps can be compared to other fitness watches (e.g. Garmin Fenix, Apple Watch, etc.). As such, your prediction that the GBD-H1000 will be outdated in 2 years is a certainty for its competitors that get updated annually and far less likely for a mid-tier G- Shock loaded with the latest technology.

For my workouts I bought the Garmin Instinct because it has more features than any G-Shock but still has that rugged look. Once done a workout, I go right back to my full metal Square.
@@golvellius6855 if you are focusing on running or step counter, go for gshock, if you do more than that, instinct is the best choice. I bought both gbdh1000 and instinct, in my pov, I would prefer instinct.
Yes...it may be outdated but the person functions may not be. For example I love the Casio Personal Trainer Illuminator JC-30...90s watch. It is a great watch and I have 2 extras for back up. Now since I've gotten this H1000 it serves no purpose. However, it took decade.
i have this watch the GBD-H1000 yes i suppose because this watch has a smartphone link...it updates the software and SOLAR POWERED too...so it will like those GSHOCK MUDMASTER ...built tough....
Thank you so much for your review! Do you have to literally run when you press “run” or could I use that function for walking? Can I only use the HR monitor on a demand basis?
My concern with all the bluetooth G Shocks is that they will lose a chunk of functionality/convenience if Casio stops supporting the Connected app, or stops supporting older models. G Shocks now are still running after 20, 30 years, but what about the apps in the future?
Till now, the watches can run fine without the app, it is optional if u need to connect & see all data in the app, i have GBA 800 and never used the app ..
Thoughts on if this will last as long as a Mudman or Gulfman, where some of them are still running well after 10 plus years. Do you believe that the H1000 will be running and functional after years? only asking for educated guess lol
I'd love to see your review about Ollech & Wajs C-1000 😊 Thats a great looking vintage inspirated 39mm 1000M diver from a small swiss manufacturer, that has a quite long history
Hello watch geek ... I would be great full indeed if you review the Garmin Instinct Solar ... I think it is an under estimated real affordable outdoor watch ... Am keen to know your professional detailed feedback ... Does it use gps to update height, sunrise, sunset and time? ... Thanks alot for really well produced and informative videos 😉👍
Hi. Could you tell the model number of the G that your wearing in the vid! Do you think they’ll slim down there fitness tracker watches or even do a square one? Great vid by the way, now subscribed Thank you.
I see at 5:15 in the video you were showing off your everyday G-SHOCK... you forgot to clean the doodoo off of it 😆😅😂🤣 You have to be careful when wiping 🤣😂😆😅 now you can call yours the mudman 😂🤣😂😅
Could you help me out please ? I have a casio g-shock GW-M5610 and every time the RCVD is on, my watch is set one hour off. I set the correct timezone, the DST is on, as it should be at this time of the year.
It's definitely something that needs to be adjusted in either the timezone or the daylights savings time options. It's hard to say without being able to see it and mess with it myself
@@Darriuuss Romania would be in the range of the broadcasting tower in Germany, which is GMT+2. Romania, I believe, observes GMT+3. I have never owned an atomic G-Shock myself, so I'm not sure what's going on, but can the watch compensate for the time difference between your home time zone and the time zone of the location of the tower automatically?
This watch looks good but it has very tough competition from garmin solar instinct. Both rugged (gshock is more rugged), both solar assisted and infinite battery if used only as watches, but the garmin has way more features and new ones are often added through firmware. I think Casio should add more features and activities to this watch to compete with the garmin.
This watch has an amazing battery, Casio has done the impossible here. Heart rate, gps, the rugged structure they almost nailed it with the 2 years of battery. However, the price, the complexity in the user interface, the sluggish ness of the gps all is a setback. Especially the price is one of the setbacks due to which i am straying away from this there are smartwatches out there which is rugged and does more for half the cost.
Not sure what you mean by it "being outdated within 2 years" because this watch, and other more low tech watches all will function exactly the same in 20 years. Besides maybe bluetooth but who the fk uses their G shock for bluetooth.
@@traviswalker8933 The trend has actually reversed and the days of Invicta-big watches are thankfully gone. Until they're in fashion again in a few years...lol.
@@Norgesbeste1 Yea, but you can still do a "RUN" in the gym and track your HR. That's still pretty cool and useful. Plus man, I can do deadlifts, power cleans, whatever in the gym, and know this beast can take the punishment. Cheers!
It’s good but it’s cheaply made. The buckle, buttons and strap feel like cheap plastic. Like they were worried they’d undercut the Rangeman and deliberately included compromises (I have a $70 G shock with better buckle, button, strap quality. It’s really bad).
I’d really like to buy this watch but two things put me off. 1. I don’t like the negative style screen. I prefer dark digits on a light background. 2. Why do Casio watches have no option to change the date format? I live in the UK. We use the format ‘Day/Month/Year’ not ‘Month/Day/Year’. I find this really annoying. Rant over. 😛
One of best thing u can find out about Gshock that u can customize it..if don wanna negative display..than change it to positive display...and 1 more thing. Im Gshock user n all of my gshock using day/month/year format..seriously bro?
