  • The Tennessee Three held a rally outside The Lorraine Motel in Memphis where Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated 55 years ago. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explains why, to quote state Representative Justin Jones, “something is changing” after state Representative Justin J. Pearson is reinstated to the Tennessee House of Representatives.

And I hope to Republicans breaking the laws of their state when not even counting the votes in committees. The Republican chairman just asks for voice votes and before sometimes before even finished bangs the gavel and makes a ruling on whether it will go to the floor of the House for debate. It is so blatant that only Republican bills go and never Democratic bills. And again the law if a member requests a roll call vote it must be done. But they say with their supermajority no.

And Dr. King's legacy is in wonderful hands today in Tennessee with the two Justins doing a Denzel from Glory and picking up that banner from a fallen comrade's hands to continue the fight. Those white supremacists in the Tennessee Legislature are still fighting the Civil War more than a century and a half after it ended. Someone needs to explain to them that they lost and the South has never "risen again". Nor will it.

Thank you Lawrence for always bringing up Dr. Martin Luther King and the violent 1960's. We need to be vigilant and more involve in our government by denouncing senseless killings in our communities, schools, churches, etc. I am proud of the young adults, students, teenagers, etc. in Tennessee for leading the protests and marches against gun violence. Thank you again Lawrence, for your TV podcasts and giving us the forum to speak out.

In 2016 the pus started flowing again here and abroad, after it seemed like it eased off! Look at Russia, in his old age, its leader wants to conquer the world like his predecessor! And already some are taking sides and singing praises to him!
