My son in law is flying there tommorow from the great white north for the scrap metal convention, your videos come in handy as a guide. Beautiful & robust city.
I've lived here my entire life. Nashville has been very good to me and I reciprocate that love to her. A beautiful and exciting city. It is a drinking town with a music problem.
Nah it’s a music city with an alcohol problem speaking from a Nashville native. I remember growing up and it was much smaller and manageable. It sold its soul now and it’s crazy how popular our hometown has gotten.
As a native Nashvillean still living in Nashville, it's a great place to visit, but not so great to live in anymore. Too much traffic. Too many transplants hell-bent on making us Seattle. Not much to do with kids. And have you seen the home prices? Bought my house for $169,000 in 2010. Now you can't find its like for under $375,000. Yikes.

We enjoyed visiting Nashville and especially the music row where there are live bands playing everywhere, We are fans of the American Pickers TV show and they have a store in Nashvile that sells tourist crap and not the rare antiques but it was fun to see and eventually I hope to fit in the far undersized T shirt I bought for beyond top dollar.
You do a great job, I drove truck for 35 years, been retired for 17 years and still miss it. If you can check out deep southern Indiana (US 50) Lots of small burgs, you will love it. Thank You for what you do. Take care and be safe
Thanks for the video of my hometown. I live in Vermont now but really enjoy going back to visit. The growth is amazing. I might add, there is much more to see that's not loud, lower Broadway for people who aren't too much into the music and bars ... for example: Frist Art Museum, The Parthenon, Bicentennial Mall State Park which is full of Tennessee historical info and monuments, the TN State Museum, as well as, Cheekwood Mansion and Botanical Gardens, Radnor Lake State Park, The Hermitage ... to name several options. Some of those sites are in downtown, some in Midtown, some farther out to the south and/or east of downtown. I appreciate all the interesting videos and please do keep up the good work! - Tim
I live between Memphis and Nashville on I-40. The wife and I never even consider going to Memphis for a weekend. Nashville gets the nod every time. There is much more going on in Nashville than downtown. Great place to explore.
We used to live in Nashville in the early '60's. There were NO interstates there back then. Met my wife & got married there. Moved away in '65, been back a few times since (she still today has family in the area), ...wouldn't go back for $1.million. It's not the same town now ... it's a crazy place today. Just another tourist trap.
My Nashville story: We went to the Bluebird one night and I was mistaken for an industry talent scout because I was taking notes on the talent and their set lists. :) Super fun town. I think some of the glassy towers in your drone vid are Amazon's new logistics HQ.
I've lived in Nashville for over fifteen years and have seen a lot of changes in that time. I really enjoyed your video, like all the others. What a service you do for all of us who can't see this beautiful country of ours any other way! I would suggest that next time, include some footage of Hillsboro Village and West End Avenue, and perhaps take a drive through Bell Meade. Great stuff, as usual.
I’ve lived in the Nashville area for 34 years and it has grown so much. I use to go downtown back when I first moved here it was easy in and out. Now days it’s majorly crowded downtown in the entertainment district around 2nd avenue with tourist. I rarely go there these days. Nashville is the leading Bachelorette destination in the country so that accounts for a huge amount of the tourist and why you saw so many buses with only women partying. Live music is abundant no matter where or when you go. If you ask people in Nashville what they do many will say they are a bar tender singer/songwriter , waitress singer/song writer. No matter what their regular job is they will also say they’re a singer/songwriter. Glad you came to visit.
I grew up north of Nashville, saw the old L&C building there. When they built that in the late 50's that was the tallest building in the south, now its dwarfed and almost out of sight.

I agree that Nashville is growing and changing rapidly. Some of the changes I like and some I do not but to each his own. If a city is not changing then it is a stagnant city ready to die. I welcome the changes while still holding dear those memories of the past. There are memories yet to be made and just waiting to happen to which I will remember them just as fondly as those of the past.
The stone building across the parking lot from your hotel is Customs House. Worked several years from that building in the ‘80s. Now live and work an hour outside Nashville. I wonder how much of that downtown was rebuilt after that Christmas explosion? Tennessee is a cool state. I have never been to Nashville but I have been to other places in the state. I didn't realize Nashville was such a lively city? It looks as busy as Gatlinburg.
Did I hear the one lady from Philly was thinking of opening a Rita’s Italian Ices, I just went to one the other day in Pennsylvania, damn those are a must stop for me when in the states. Great video of a wild town.
I know you can't see everything, but you should have gone a little further down the road and visited the Jack Daniel's distillery. It's pretty cool to see that process. I'm not a drinker, but still found it fascinating. It's located close to Murfreesboro.
Nashville is the music capital of the United States or maybe even the world's music capital. There is more music in Nashville than in Memphis. The city of Nashville never sleeps too.
Im from NE Arkansas. I grew up an hour from Memphis. I'll try to explain some of the issue. Memphis, and Little Rock are both major highway towns through the south and heading north. Alot of drugs come from south to north after being brought through Texas or Louisiana, the more north drugs go towards St. Louis, Chicago, the more they are worth on the street. Memphis is a hub to transport drugs east or north. This results in more crime. Alot of major cities have violent crime, but few have it as severely as Memphis. The highways in those cities are arteries pumping bad stuff across the nation.
Nashville does a better job of hiding their crimes. Now Nashville doesn't have the high murder rate like Memphis but that because of the population. Many more blacks in Memphis than Nashville. More black convicts leaving the pen go to Memphis because of its high black population. It's easier to hide there.
Like this city, oh, need a drink! It's 12, somewhere. Walking around, oh I need a drink. At the pool, oh I need a drink--whole lot of drinkin goin on! Oh let's toast with a drink!
Fantastic video... Nashville looks a Fun Fun Fun city. I’m not a city type but I was really enjoying watching, it’s definitely the bars and music that did the trick. Reminds me of Liverpool in the UK....the music and party culture is very similar, just different architecture but has quintessentially the same atmosphere. I did laugh when Nicole helped herself and got that capital stamp. Go girl 😂...... take care and thoughts with you both on the 21st anniversary of 9/ 11 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🤗
I hope that one day you guys start doing international travel. If you guys want to experience contemporary world, surreal experience & raw beauty, I would recommend outskirts of Himalayas in Nepal. If you guys want to do hiking, there are many places including going to base camp for Mt. Everest. Saint Lucia is also beautiful since it has rich colonial history & how English & French led to hybrid language. Quebec city, Montreal & Banff (Alberta) will definitely worth visiting since each city has its own uniqueness.
Tennessee seems like a great state to visit, some cool cities and alot of natural beauty. As for Nashville its on my bucket list. Hopefully crime doesnt take over the city like it has in Memphis. Would love to catch a Predators game there.
Tennessee is a great state to visit. Memphis is a lot of fun as well. High crime, yes, but be careful and you'll be okay. We've visited there 5 times in the past 4 years, and always have has a great time with no problems. There's a lot to see there - Beale Street (some of the best live music in the country), Graceland, Lorraine Motel, Peabody Ducks, the Pyramid. We love it there.
Great video. Not my kind of town. It's bars and lots of people and noise. I like a quiet town with a few things. Looks like a younger crowd for the most part. Hope all the new buildings aren't really expensive and people can't afford them just like CA. I really enjoy your videos. They are so awesome. I think your wife is awesome too.
Luckily for me, they have a truck stop right across the street from the titans stadium! Quick uber to broadway a few weeks ago, it was fun! $8 for a Budweiser tho lol sheesh
i had never been to Nashville-until now! Because of your video, I did indeed come away with the sense that I had been there. Did you two actually find a restaurant for dinner? I ask that because you were looking about amidst a very crowded area and the next scene is the two of you entering the hotel restaurant for breakfast with hangovers. Not really my business, of course; but I ask respectfully.
We did find a place to eat, Kid Rock's place, but it was so loud you couldn't hear us. The live music is everywhere there, and some places, like Kid Rock's, have live music on every floor - 4 to 5 floors.
There is a food hall called Assembly food hall at Fifth and Broadway behind the Apple store . They are several stand alone restaurants there too like Hattie B's chicken, Blanco , Shake Shack and several others. The 12:30 club is there too and is more of a dress up club and restaurant that is partly owned by Justin Timberlake. The food Hall is in the back on the second floor and has at least 20 or more restaurants of all different cuisines .
I live in Nashville, TN...it's only getting more and more generic and overrun by developers and every single area is getting to look the same. Seriously, you cannot go anywhere in this area that does not look exactly like the few blocks you just passed. Every neighborhood has a Walgreens, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, and all the stupid franchised restaurants that have put most of the mom and pop businesses out. It's ugly and full of crime. There is no safe place to be in this area at anytime of the day or night...even though it looks so safe down on Broadway for the tourists...best be careful walking back to your cars and hotels. There are just as many criminals out there as there are tourists just waiting to roll somebody or worse. I got stuck here with my family, career, then caring for older family members, and now I'm disabled. I'd leave if I could, but my hometowns are ruined now too. You can't go home! Not on earth anyways, not for me. Just waiting on Jesus to come...that's all I can do. And trust me, I am ready! Hope you all are too, for this Sodom and Gomorrah world can't continue down this broad path much longer surely. You all do a great job showing all the dying/dead towns across our nation. Giving us histories that way they aren't totally forgotten. I don't know how you do it without getting terribly depressed.

I'm 60 miles from Nashville
You should give Tulsa a fair shot. All the construction going on in north downtown wasn't mentioned last time.
All that construction looks just like Denver!
Minus the mountains?
I hope you're getting comped for that. That's a LOT of time looking at that hotel! 😁🤩
PS: Great view of the Batman Building!
No, I paid every penny. $1200 for 3 nights plus $36 a night for parking. Pricey!
@@JoeandNicsRoadTrip Wow!

Nashville is a nice city to visit, but I would never consider living in a state that's not on the coast.
